I would like to see more on Brandon Sanderson. He is my favorite book author. Seeing my favorite history channel covering him is like the most epic cross over ever!
Yoooooooo! I just got into the Cosmere a couple of months ago. Totally and completely obsessed now. Best shit I've read in YEARS. Thanks so much for the video. So hyped now! EDIT: ALL RIGHT, that's too much! I literally just started reading Stormlight Yesterday. I don't wanna know nothing about no Spren unless it's coming from the pages of this book, lol. I'll come back when I am better educated. Still, love the video, it's an excellent intro, thank you for all of your hard work!
It’s not the best video for someone to be introduced to these books as it includes a lot of general info without making a deeper focus on the most basic things (explaining the most important planets, how each magic system works, how the books are structured) and though I know that’s not the purpose of the video I'd personally love to see that with the artistic and technical quality that this video has. There are some inaccuracies that have been pointed out in other comment but I still really enjoyed it. Loved to see the artist interpretation of each shard and the depiction of Hoid is just amazing!
Glad you enjoyed the art mate. I think much is on the way in terms of in depth descriptions through some of the book series. A nice base of fans Sanderson has indeed. I am happy to create art and animation for this type of community. 🙏
I never knew that Brandon Sanderson's Universe was *That Big!* I thought he made one unique fantasy world, I didn't know he made several more. I need to read his books.
Yeah different series are set on different planetary systems with different magic and cultures. But he likes to leave small details about the overall Cosmere. It gets exciting when you notice the worlhopers/travelers between series
YES! The Cosmere has so many amazing battles and a surprising focus on politics, especially Sanderson's recent work. Absolutely can't wait to see you cover everything that happens in the Stormlight Archive.
Very good introduction. This was a nice way to get a new perspective on the Cosmere, especially with the brilliant artwork. The Cosmere truly is one of the most expansive and exciting universes I've ever seen. From first reading Warbreaker to then finding out that a character from another planet showed up in another series was eye opening. Then to find out that every very different magic system all derived from the same source and set of rules was fascinating
@@steelshanks1265 I mean, I'm assuming some of the broader concepts, but the individual magic systems seem quite unique. The individual planets all have very unique magic systems that aren't talked about in depth here.)
Never heard of this Sanderson before. From this brief overview of his works I am interested. Sounds like a huge world-building project and I absolutely love those
Okay, this is the first time I ever heard of Cosmere. Maybe because they never been adapted into movies or animated series before. So this really is an eye-opening! Thank you so much, the team of Wizards and Warriors!

After watching this video, I realize that I need to redouble my effort and really delve into all of Sandersons works. I’ve read Elantris, war breaker, and both the mistborn, and storm light archive series. I’ve often felt i was missing quite a bit from references made in the books, but I wasn’t sure where to start with the rest of the cosmere.
Considering how big the Cosmere is, it's no wonder why Brandon Sanderson is writing so many books. Also it's so complex I have to watch it again to understand it more.
Wow that was unexpected. For all his achievements I've always thought Sanderson's writitng was a niche even in the fantasy genre. A large niche of devoted fans, but niche anyway. So, come round, one and all, to the Cosmere rabbit hole! Remember: there is always another secret ;)

Great video, but fanboys gotta nitpick: -First of the Sun IS invested. The islands of the Pantheon are all sentient avatars of Autonomy. -Roshar is actually smaller by Cosmere standards, being only 90% the size of Yolen, the standard. However, it only has 70% of Yolish gravity, an extremely high-oxygen atmosphere, an absurd concentration of raw investiture, and cultivation's intent facilitating quick evolution, so everything on it is quite large. -There is no Shard with the Intent of "Survival." There is a shard whose primary concern is not investing themselves in a planet and carving out a realm therein, but simply escaping Odium's wrath.
Can't wait for more in depth videos about all of the Cosmere setting and lore. It would be good to go into Hoyde's back story, more about the 10 Radient orders from Stormlight, the magic systems on ROshar etc and hopefully more on the cognative and spiritual realms
Survival? Has the Shard been named? Wasn't it just a hint as to its Intent? Or is there a WoB I'm missing? Awesome video, by the way. So glad you guys are doing a series on one of the greatest fictional universes. Can't wait to see more.
Yeah. It's just a hint. It's not quite clear if Survival is a separate shard that those already revealed. Though more likely it's Wisdom/Prudence or something along those line.
One awesome thing about Sanderson is that he’s big on hard magic and takes it to the extreme. He’s even having mathematicians and physicists help him try and make it as realistic and definable as possible.
Sanderson takes it too far, imo. I like his works, but his fantasy books lack "fantasy", for me. His magic quickly stops being magical. No author is perfect.
Every fantasy fan should look into reading A Stormlight Archive. The first book is a very slow burn, but if you keep at it, you get handsomely rewarded
Everyone just discovering brando from this video, we welcome you with open arms! Fucking love that he's getting more popular, absolutely the best fantasy author of our time
I've never heard of this before, and I've never read any of Sanderson's books(I've been told to stay away from them) and I don't know if I'd enjoy them if i read them. However watching these videos will definitely be more enjoyable then reading the books at least for me.

Awesome video, by the way. So glad you guys are doing a series on one of the greatest fictional universes. Can't wait to see more.
It's just a hint, not directly named
Yeah. It's just a hint. It's not quite clear if Survival is a separate shard that those already revealed. Though more likely it's Wisdom/Prudence or something along those line.
Great video! Can't wait for more, also would love to see The Wheel of Time
"More on that in our future Stormlight Archive videos"
YES!!!! Hahaha I'm so excited!
There's nothing more welcome than more cosmere content
Looking forward to following your coverage of the Cosmere. I love Misborne and Stormlight archive but aim to read the others when I get time.
Interesting. I've never heard of the author nor any of his works but it's kind of neat to see.
Very recommended!
Only read stormlight archive and am on book two of mistborn and im loving it.
Awesome that you're doing Sanderson! Hopefully this will lead into doing Wheel of Time
Being an audible listener of Brandon i didnt kno many of these books exsisted 😭
I am glad you could make sense of this universe for me
Every fantasy fan should look into reading A Stormlight Archive. The first book is a very slow burn, but if you keep at it, you get handsomely rewarded
Everyone just discovering brando from this video, we welcome you with open arms! Fucking love that he's getting more popular, absolutely the best fantasy author of our time
This is an amazing guide
MOOORRREEEE!!!! 😂
Holy shot I just read stormlight too this is awesome
never thought I'd see the day you guys tackle the Cosmere
THANK YOU!! Finally a great overview of the Cosmere!
Nov 15 is Brandon Sanderson's Lost Metal book release to his BEST SERIES MISTBORN
I've never heard of this before, and I've never read any of Sanderson's books(I've been told to stay away from them) and I don't know if I'd enjoy them if i read them. However watching these videos will definitely be more enjoyable then reading the books at least for me.
Just read them 😁
Try them once!
