    Kings of the New Romantics and the 80s they took the world by storm.
    They have been perfectionists with thier amazing music over the last 4 decades their debut single Planet Earth 🌏 🌍 caught everyone's attention . 4 Decades later their music is still fantastic and continues to capture peoples attention ......Love you guys ❤💙

    THANK YOU for posting this excellent documentary, I'd never seen it! I love that there's so much of Roger in it, as he's usually pretty quiet

    Kraftwerk wasn't extremely big with the masses-but I've noticed they were huge to musicians during the 70's and 80's because they were totally new and nothing remotely sounded like them.

    8:50 - that synth sound.... I'm sure it was sampled in the early 90''s in an old school, UK hardcore rave track.
    To think that Nick Rhodes came up with a sound that would be used a decade later and help define a whole new sound for a new generation. Mind blown.

      nookie077, thank you very much for uploading this fantastic documentary of "The Making Of Rio". Just like April Gosa, I've been searching a long time for this too and John Taylor's bass playing still blows me away.

      well, they had left birmingham at that point and there wasn't much of a local scene then until punk came around.

    Its funny how Johns talking about in 82 that nobody had really done synthesizer based albums besides Kraftwerk I have one word for you John Devo.. they were doing it in the late mid to late 70s
