One thing I have always appreciated about Duran Duran is that they have all done interviews, so you can get to know all their personalities. Some bands just put their frontman out there and you don't really get to know the rest of them. I think it has helped them still be able to shut down the egos and play music together all these years.

I agree with one of you who stated that for the most part this wasn't funny. I don't find Simon to be incredibly funny myself. He can be funny and has been in the past however what he does is ham it up and will say a lot of things and continue saying many things to be shocking, the center of attention etc. but not really funny. To me funny is mostly about comic timing for instance one could say something quite mundane but when one says it with natural comedic timing can be funny. One can be very witty but not funny. Wit is about clever word play but without good comic timing is just clever not necessarily funny. All of them have shown they can be funny and witty. In particular someone else has mentioned below that the interview involving Nick and Simon with Simon going on about cocks and weathervanes is very bad if not down right embarrassing. If one really watches and analyses Nick's body language and facial expressions one can tell he is doing his utmost to preserve the dignity between them. I read Simon's behavior towards the interviewer as using his status to purposely reduce the interviewer's own for the sake of getting cheap laughs from his fans. Incredibly low brow and abusive and befitting more of a person of Beavis and Butthead's personas who get caught up with words with double entendres involving private parts without letting go of it. The big difference would be at least Beavis and Butthead given a scene similar would be written and performed by Mike Judge to be actually funny. A much better example of Simon actually being funny would be the interview he did on David Letterman I believe in 1985 in which David very much was an asshole towards Simon and Simon responded with lots of answers with wit and good comedic timing to ultimately shut David up. Simon did very well then the complete opposite of what we see here.
