60161 SRE/Saharanpur WAG 12B departs Adoni with Coal loaded Boxn Freight with very poor acceleration and no speed pickup at all !!

Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo is always less in static tractive effort when compared to 2x Co-Co , but when a a speed of 55+ is attained they can safely take it to 90-95 and back. 55+ in 2*CoCo configuration is risky and presumed unsafe . ( for a 55 wagon 4500 ton load )
How is being interpret as lack of pick up? Couldn't it also be deliberate slow driving for whatever reason ?
Nice.. Which section are these shot at? Are the engines really struggling or just being pulled at low speed..

It seemed struggling because there were not any speed restrictions to go at low speed
Hi vamsi Anna is there any gradient on that route that you have captured, if so then wag12 is really bad when it comes to gradients, It shows a lot of wheel slip

Hence the Wag9 twins were introduced with more traction motors. Anyways IR was quick to realise the shortcomings of wag12
By the way some restriction will be there for particular freight due to operational reason

Wag 9 is better wag12 is still yapping that hes strong
WAG12 does not perform well on gradients, so it is less practical in south India. I think that's why loco sheds like KJM, UBL and GY are being given WAG9s instead of WAG12s

It's a wag 7 and wag 5 ...you can't add the generations to say wag 12....
