Pointless event for me, paywall behind unlocking eve is ridiculous. Why didn't they let casual racers challenges to unlock eve?

Prolly gonna expect a Star Chaser next season or two with shards locked behind super exclusive character restricted races. That's why I'm spending my tokens on these Season Tour boxes. Better to prep for the future.

As soon as I unlocked Eve I pushed her through rank. I got her Emerald shards within 2 days of unlocking her without too much pain. I wont be pushing Ursula past platinum because I dont enjoy racing with clunky racers. This map is pretty straight forward and I learnt through your videos to only take the grass if i have nitros otherwise its slows you down :) im in top 25% for now
Oh wow, let's go congrats. Yes, grass slows, even if it's just a second, it still matters in the long run.
I was able to get EVE this week. I had 9 shards after the first two events but managed to get them by putting my level 15 Wall-E through two races in Advanced difficulty. I only need 2 more shards to get Eve after putting her getting her to gold rank. I would like to have an EVE guide though as well.
They need to make it easier to unlock most characters
I dont have all characters so i couldn’t unlock eve

Maybe this game is getting the same "Asphalt treatment."I played Asphalt 8 for almost two years but when I started it was already in the "Dark Era" and I believe that if this game becomes more predatory they will have to close it, while Asphalt was completely owned by Gameloft, this one is also owned by Disney.

I am so happy that they made a new event for her because I wasn't about to unlock her cuz I didn't have Minnie mouse at all is it me or the events are getting a lot worse than what we think because the event you got to have a 32 or 35 level wall e thats crazy epic crew is it really worth it too get wall e fire extinguisher

Thanks for telling me how to get EVE to two stars, but I really don't like her unique abilities. It feels like a weaker version of Stitch since it only shoots forward and in such a short distance.
If i am going to star her up, I'll wait until she's available in Racer Boost races.
Yea, exactly. No point in hoarding shards and stressing out if you don't plan on doing anything with the character.
I'd say its simply to bait people to actually get the Captain Crew Member afterward

Yooo, Poppin! We both know we're all expecting a top 10% guide for this Eve event, didn't we? 😏😎 Lol, that being said, I know it's unregulated, and cash is king, bla bla bla.
But I do have to say, I was a shard behind to 2* before Friday and ranked one star Eve at max MPR 18 already, and today's event with the free 10 shards already got me starring her up.
And with the Axiom cup, after really trying to understand her in rank, I still made it to the top 100 and way under the top 10% mark. If Poppin scroll thru the top 100 players, there are some with lvl 25 Eve, with a common crew member, still making it a time of 1:57 ~ 2:00 minutes. My time is exactly 2 mins lol, and most players got that too, around number 175 right now (ye, got kicked down a lil bit, but still). And assuming the top 10% would be like 500 ppl, I reckon the more 1* Eves join, the bigger the percentage gets, and easier to make it top 10%.
But i know most ppl have 1* Eve by now, and they cant make it to top 10% :/ Like ya said, do they 'really' need to be up there? I doing this to 3* her soon, cuz in ranked mode, that got me super close to it! Yeah, it'll be achievable in few days for newer players, with ur super helpful guide.
I basically drift boosted thru the grass shortcuts, similar to the wall-e guide Lofton was doing last season! (Using Poke's video as u mentored her) The air boost ramp, when to use her rush, drifting straight as possible, are the basic tips. But honestly, a handful of us can make it to top 10% even at 2* lvl 25. It purely takes practice and our skill, cuz Eve's ability really have no advantages bring up front (just like Ortensia tike trial event) she useless! 😅 So if we all really tried to reach top 10% as much as possible, we can guarantee top 50% 🙌🏽 I realised I'll be 5 shards away from 3 starring her, without spending a time! (Just by being at top 10%)
Yea, if someone who has 1 star is stressing on reaching top 10, but they don't need to, then they can just get it by reaching the top 50. I think some people may end up purchasing when they don't really need to.

I honestly think not many players have Wve at lvl 35, and considering we don't have an unlock pack for her, and only a gacha box, I reckon most ppl won't even have her up there. That being said, Poppin must have lvl 25 Eve, at least xD Everyone should be able to have her at 2* since ya said, rank is there, and we only gotta suffer in platinum till 18. Your guides and tips like ur super old wall-e video is always welcome for newer players! 😎

I got top 10% with a 2 star eve it’s possible you just a lot of foresight and strategy with the boost meter
Bruh getting 10% with 2 star Eve is easy.... most people only have 1 star
@@mojochay it should be possible to get top 25% with 1 star which will get you what you need to get gold crew member and eve to 2 stars after the event
I don't have Wall-E and I'm not planning to spend money on the game for a character, the only times I spend it's for the gold pass and if I had to pay not so much, I don't like to spend on micro transactions for a game xD

I deleted the game. I just realized I have to draw my line in the sand in some point. I was just about to start this chapter after looking at the Eve race and Event and realize I'd have to pay cash just to level up Wall E in order to level up Eve. My joy is gone and its time to move on...

Yea, like I said, it really does seem like they keep seeing how far they can go and how much they can squeeze until they can't. My worry is what happens after that, shut down or it sits with minimum updates?

If this was either a single player experience or they stripped the paid progression aspect of this game and ACTUALLY leveled the playing field...well it wouldn't solve everything...but it would be a start.
It was like I had an epiphany, an ah ha moment. Sitting there about to start the second race and I thought, "Why am I playing this anymore?" I'm playing less and less and it feels like a chore. I play though an event for what: 3 crew shards?
Or, oh look...racer shards! Oops, my character isn't a high enough level to complete enough objectives to earn those shards. Well then: what was the point of the event? Lol.
But when you look at it from that business and pay to win perspective, it makes sense. It really will make think b4 buying a game with this type of mechanics/business model.
All that being said, I did pump almost 150 or so hours into the game. At one point it was a decent game, but the grind just doesn't seem worth it anymore.
If the game continues to tank, they have only themselves to blame. May Disney Dreamlight Valley never fall like this....

Yea, the ones struggling are the 1 star players. That's one reason I dislike unregulated, it really doesn't allow for all players to shine. Only a few. 😢
