4 Nights In Snowdonia

- We finally get to meet up with Eddie and Ged, Scots Wildcamper and Gerard Taylor on a 4 night trip to North Wales. With the elements against us our plans went out the window mainly due to the relentless wind. A bunkhouse , a bothy and a wild camp later we had a fantastic trip made more so by the great company annd a sprinkling of the white stuff to boot.
Great intro!!! Another fantastic video, thanks for taking us along with you on your adventures. Glad Marley stayed home would have been rough on the poor baby.
Thank you . Yes Marley stays at home on the cold and wet ones now sadly ☹️. He’s 13 in a couple of months so he’s enjoying his pipe and slippers nowadays 🐶. I miss him though 😔

Appreciate you feeling for Marley...I have a 11 year old Lab....We too have walked miles together through the years, but now his legs are going, and the long walks are no more to be.....I wont walk out without my dog, so missing walking the woodlands & Hills !.....They are precious to us those creatures x
It’s heartbreaking isn’t it but I guess it’s the only negative with having a dog. If you’ve never had one you just won’t understand. He’s literally my best mate 🐶. Take care. A+L.

Once again a brilliant video. The carneddau is such a fab place. Remote, rugged and rewarding. We were up there just over a week ago to fowl grace and there were clear blue skies, views stretching in front and of course the ponies. Gledrfford is sapping on the legs especially after rain. Sadly my friend who was with us on this trip passed away in April after a short illness (Pancreatic cancer). Martin's wide Sharon has asked if we have any videos with him talking on them. Almost broke my leg going down the steep decline toward the Bothy in the ice few months back. Wild night but totally worth it. A real gem i need to revisit now the weathers better.
It really is steep , I can imagine it gets very dodgy descending . It’s definitely one our favourite locations 👍. Cheers. A+L.
Hey...we have FOUR Whisky distilleries in Wales not just the one-Penderyn- that you stated was Wales's only native whisky! Moel Siobod is pronounced 'Shabod'. Nice vlog as usual. Looking forward to the next instalment. J
Ahaha, I said in the Brecon Beacons 😙 and one of the others won’t produce a bottle for another year . Not that I’ve now done my homework or anything 🙄. Really enjoy the Penderyn Legend so I must try the peaty one they do , never tried the others but I’ll look out for them on the top shelf now I know about them. Cheers. A+L.

I recognise that carpark from when I did a wild camp at Cwm Eigiau last year, Its a vast landscape is that Area, I will do a walk and hopefully stay in that Bothy one day Looks a Great Area to Explore, that snow Looked quite Deep for you to wake up to, Looking forward to part 2, ATB, Les.

What an amazing walk... I have to pack up my camera on water crossings, it is not water proof. Rain as well. Poor Marley, I can sympathize with him... Seems that we all get older and the limitations with it... 😒 He does love the walks and the water... Looking forward to the next episode of this hike. Oh yes... The lead in edit was totally and literally over the top... 👍😀👌
Hi Max, it’s such a beautiful area , we really wanted to get up to a couple of the summits but the wind was just too much. Marley is really struggling of late ☹️. He’s ok on the flat but uphills are becoming really difficult as his left hip has gone. We’re off to the Lake District for a week at the weekend so we’ll see how he gets on 🤞. I enjoy watching Eddie and Ged's channels as well, so an added bonus for me this one. Wow that was a long drive and that would kill my bloody knees lol. Sounded a right blowy old day and defiantly blowing the cobwebs away and felt a bit sorry for Eddie, being at the back, everyone waiting for him to slip on the steps down and across the river, poor lad. To be fair the video sound quality was good, despite the wind and what a great birthday treat for the wee lad! Nice birthday surprise for you all the next day as well! Cheers Alan

It was brilliant to finally meet up with them both. It’s funny, you watch people for years , it’s like you already know each other when you meet as you’ll know I bet. We’ve an even longer drive this weekend as we’re heading up to the Lakes for a week 😁😁. We’re going to meet up with Leona and Chris in their camper on Saturday so can’t wait. We going to try to make Borrowdale as well so hopefully we can say hi 👍. The deadcat on the mic did an amazing job on this one , it was so bloody windy and for the whole four days. Easter weekend was beautiful thanks to the amazing weather. I couldn't do much as I had to pop into work on Sunday morning but I made the most of it.
Will we be seeing a wild Easter camp from you both? And maybe Marley???

Thanks Patricia. Yes , we really were glad as he’d have struggled. As it turned out both the bunkhouses we stayed at didn’t allow dogs (the cheek 🙄) so it worked out well leaving him at home on this one. He’s coming with us for a week in the Lakes next week though for sure so he’ll be a happy bunny 🐶. Cheers. A+L.

Are you MBA members? Just wondering where you find out about all these cool Bothies! I had a look on their website and it looked like most of the Bothies were in Scotland, with just a few in England and Wales..? You seem to find plenty though.

It is off the B5106 and we go past the Adventure Park Snowdonia and the surf center on the way. The road up is a very steep drive and you have to open a couple of gates on the way which is an adventure in itself. Here is the postcode that gets you to the last gate with normal sat nav .
