This is the first ALT video I’ve watched since receiving my shortlist letter!! I love the humour in the video, and seeing the whole apartment really sets the reality in that I may be in a situation like yours soon enough!! It’s nerve wracking and exciting but your video has helped me feel a lot better about this adventure and what the future may hold
Such an impressive space you have! I hope I can get this lucky when I join this program in a few years! And if you feel like you need it, I highly recommend buying a heated blanket for those cold winter months ☺️ I live in Canada and buying one has been a life saver! Also I love all your merch 💕
"this is my little closet, well, not little" I am pretty sure I slept in a room about the size of that closet when I lived in Japan lol. Excellent video so far though!
We're moving to Japan soon too! We should be in Osaka by the start of fall. I've been trying to document here on RUclips, but the transition process is keeping us so busy. I don't know how you do it!
Once I started teaching I haven’t haven’t been able to update much since then but it’s defiantly difficult to find time to film and edit. 😭 good luck on your journey! I’m sure it will be great! ☺️👍
That weird corner window by the vanity is interesting. So much storage space though. I use a space heater too because heating my whole apartment is a waste of money when I'm just sleeping in my room. So I know the aiming the tiny space heater just right scenario. I actually have mine elevated on top of something so the heat blows more directly my way.
Yea I’m a kiwi in New Zealand. Love your videos. I’ve applied for the JET Programme. Hoping to get interview this January. I currently work two jobs one as a first aid instructor (20hours a week) and one at a Hospital (20hours a week). I really like the idea to go teach English in Japan. I originally had job offers from Borderlink as an ALT but turn them down because the pay was too low, (some months you didn’t get paid either). It would be awesome if you could do a video liked talkingabout the yearly 1 year contract renewals. Not many people talk about this. This is why I’m also very hesitant to apply for teaching English jobs (in general). Your contract may not be renewed but you still have rent to pay. In New Zealand both my jobs are guaranteed. Anyways awesome videos. Keep it up/
Really nice apartment. I’m currently attending college and have my eyes set on the JET program and moving to Japan when I graduate. Any chance you could do a video about the process of joining JET and possibly a Day in the Life of an ALT?
I'm a new subscriber, and I enjoyed your video :) I plan to move to Japan in the future, but teaching English as a job is not my thing. I wonder what job I could do..
I recommend checking sites like Gajinpot.com! There’s a lot of job listings there for jobs besides teaching too! Good luck! Thanks for subscribing! 🙌☺️

Hello! I’ve actually been placed in Aomori city as well! I’m so looking forward to meeting everyone! Do most of the JETs in the area live in similar conditions, or is it still ESID? I hope you’re having a wonderful summer!
That’s so awesome! We’re so excited to meet you here! 🥰 it won’t be exactly the same but I think the size and the basics of what you get in your apartment are the same! ☺️👍 looking forward to meeting you soon! 🥰
@@-bubuliintothebeyond-6158 Thanks, that's really nice, but I did a little research and it turns out my country doesn't do JET at this time. The last time they did was in 2018 according to the website of the japanese embassy in my country. Maybe they will do again in the future again and maybe then I will apply, better late than never.
@@magnaesca165 Yeah! I think it would still be a good idea to apply if you can! There are also other teaching opputunites through other companies in Japan if you want to work here! :)
All of that space for $200?? Dang, you're lucky!!

this is a big apartment for the money compared to other Japanese apartments.
14:57 so cute
Wow thats such a good deal :o I just moved to Sapporo and I'm paying twice as much for what's probably only half the space

Do you need a tefl or celta to apply to JET, at the end of summer I'm graduating from my university, My major is English language teaching.
You don’t need it for JET! All you need is a four year college degree! Good luck! ☺️💕
