Thought that the statues on Ilos were the Protheans for the longest time, turns out they were actually the Inusannon. The Inusannon went extinct about 127,000 years before the events of Mass Effect and were long gone before the Protheans found Ilos.
I think they originally did represent the protheans in me1 but when the collectors were introduced in me2 they changed the lore because the collectors don't look like those statues at all
Originally, they were Prothean. However, during an early conversation with Javik in regard to Vigil on Illos he states that Illos was a ruin from the species before them, and the Prothenas took it over. Probably restored it for research and development. So, the statues are far older than the Protheans.
Inusanun "E-noo-sah-noon" The statues on Ilo that are seen here are actually the inusanun, not any Prothian race. This is backed up by the fact that Javik says that the Inusanun inhabited Ilos before the Prothians and if u look at concept art of the Inusanun, they bear striking similarities to the statues. The Inusanun were also the race the reapers used to create the adjutants. That's why everyone infected by the adjutant virus resembles an Inusanun husk
I just want to know how tf they built the receiver for the conduit on the citadel if they were trapped on Ilos and needed the conduit to get to the citadel in the first place. And the people saying they built the one on the citadel before the reaper invasion makes absolutely no sense, why would they build the receiving end of a mini relay with no connection point and make it only one way from a start point that doesn't exist yet? They would of had to know the reapers were coming long before the invasion for me to believe this. Vigil clearly states that the conduit was built during/after the reapers were completing the cycle. That means the relay on the citadel had to be there already or they wouldn't of been able to connect to it from Ilos only plot hole I have an issue with.
You are a very understanding person if that's the only plothole you have an issue with. :) But to give a very farfetched answer: the citadel is a mass relay. But if that's the case, several plotholes also present themselves.
I can deduce that that relay was a prototype and maybe by the will of the superiors placed on the citadel for testing directly under the supervision of the prothean elites. Just a thought
Well there has been multiple extinction events I believe that previous generations have all been putting the plans together that eventually led to the Reapers to being defeated, it's likely that the relay point on the Citidel was there from a previous cycle.
@@PR-xm5zc I think between the Protheans there were a group of intellectuals and operatives that just like in this cycle deducted the presence and threath of the Reapers. The that time power holders listened but probably didn't believe them. However allowed them to experiment on the relay tech. If they could learn how to build relays it would give them a insormontabile advantage over their enemies. So probably that secret base was the Protheans version of area 51
Funny in the very beginning you're showing statues sitting in a chair they are not the previous they're not the profiance they're the race that the profians learn from so these guys even though they're in Mass Effect one and sarin goes in to get a hold of the the device to travel into the Citadel you're looking at the only race that was basically known is the cycle these people whoever they were they came before the profits the perfumes studied these people and learned about all the underground stuff to save their own asses so you could say this was the first cycle or the second cycle and then the propians came after them and then we came after them I'm surprised nobody puts this two and two together because you can come across a couple pages that are completely different language

what kind of species would evolve too look like that though?
@@cjvaye99 Depends on a number of factors. For all we know they may have been decorative statues and not what the species actually looks like.
In my cycle, videos such as this one were rewarded with way more views!
We all know why the Protheans were interested in the Asari

Super interesting thank you for shedding light on that!
Thanks again for the help moving my fridge freezer fizhy mate appreciate it and remember i just woke up

God the collector's base theme is such a masterpiece of tense audio track. I absolutely love the creepiness of it.
It’s even cooler when you realize it’s a twisted ‘remix’ of ME1’s Vigil theme.
Fantastic video! Love me some ME lore. I hope they have a classic styled codex for the new Mass Effect, it really grounded the world/universe.
Here comes the lore man Fizhy
Gavin is the protheans

The war, as Javik says, lasted about 300 years, they probably built it before they lost control of the citadel
