    In defense of them looking smooth, their scales would be very small, like to the point where you can't see them unless you get really upclose to them

      I'm just used to how the JP Dinos look, and well I guess how Ostrich legs are portrayed in media and thats what I was going in expecting. Also I wanted to be a little funny since I'm certainly not the Paleo expert on the team.

    dinosaur skin looks smooth because the scales are small.

    nature doesn't care what we think.
    if it looked like a "duck" to you then that's it.

    “It looks like a stupid duck” that doesn’t matter. Thats how nature designed it to look in order for it to survive in its natural habitat. I mean look at naked mole rats

    If I were a utahraptor trying to open the door, I would use my mouth to open

    I find it’s better to rewatch the entire thing , to get the full details on why they look the way they look.
    Also: the characters of the Dark Crystal you’re talking about are the Skeksis

    Tbf, with the Utahraptor, the lips would have made a full seal
    As for the scales being kinda smooth, I do agree the normals could use work

      I just couldn't get the image of it going "dur" and constantly drooling out of that cleft. That jaw is so derpy. Nothing against the animator, its a lot more then I can do but the dinosaur itself is the derpy part.

      @@CoreyStudios2000 well the evidence points to them having lips

      The reason why they look like “dur” is because it’s part of their skeleton

    To be fair, most of the dinosaurs or ancient animal look different because it the early stage of evolution. So animals back then will looked different or weird during that time. Then it change throughout a decade because of adaptations and evolve to better adapt into the environments. Spinosaurus looked the way it was because it adapted to be an aquatic creature, just like the crocodile or alligator for example. Body is perfectly to be able to swim and hunt large fish.

    whats wrong with SCIENTIFICALLY ACCURATE DINOSAURS not being scary what about Cassowary giant petrel or shoebill stork emu etc

    • @The_AmberMine
      @The_AmberMine  Год назад +1

      Nothing, I just was thinking the way that the Utah Raptor looked kinda dorky. Thats all. Also I can't take the Spinosaurus seriously after they 15th change.

    after all we cant really tell what dinosaurs looked like cuz they went extinct long time ago so there is small change they might've looked like JP dinosaurs toned down . also they forgot to add feathers to t rex and i think while you're living in a jungle your skin wont stay as smooth due to dirtiness of environment and other factors , correct me if im wrong

    • @The_AmberMine
      @The_AmberMine  Год назад

      We actually have some skin impressions left behind from many Dinosaurs, T rex is no different. Adults really wouldn't have had feathers at all as of a 2017 paper. Hatchlings would have however but would have lost them over their lifetime.

      Actually I haven't. I have been so busy with our Jurassic June Plans that I haven't had much of a chance to watch anything else. This video had been on my list for a while so I decided to make a video about it!
