  • Try-Outs Special S4 E21: Metroid II: Return of Samus vs. Metroid: Samus Returns
Having grown up playing the GBA port of the original game and having gotten around to Super Metroid and Fusion in the last couple years, I wanted to continue my Metroid adventure with Metroid II. But which (official) version should I play through? (I know AM2R exists, I just forgot to mention it in this video.)
Try-Outs are first-impressions reviews usually based on the first hour or so of the game and judged on a pass/fail rating as to whether I want to play it more and whether I recommend the game to other people.

Nice vid. Something I would have mentioned is where these games are in the narrative timeline, though I guess with "Metroid 2", it kind of goes without saying. My favorite Metroid game would probably be Metroid Prime, tied with Super Metroid, which is everyone's favorite for a reason.
