I am happy that I found your channel. I just purchased a Wolverine Pro. First roll of double eight worked perfectly. the first roll of super eight worked perfectly. As I moved on thinking everything was perfect, now it seems that every roll I have tried to put on the machine jams? I even tried lubricating the film and rewinding on a projector. I see you mention something about a paper wedge? I don't see it in the video for some reason, I would much rather try that before messing with the screws on the pressure plate.

So glad I took the time to watch this after frustration trying to process two super 8 films from 1977. Thought I had a bad machine . Just did the 1/4 turn on the plate and magic 👍Thanks for the tip.

This video is a life saver. I actually had my 1st machine replaced because the film wouldn't feed through. Could've saved myself a lot of swearing if I had known about this little fix. C'est la vie. I've got it down pat now with the piece of paper too. Thank You.

Saved The Day! This, this and your other video with the paper spacer. Thankyou! I had just about given up in frustration with my 50-year old super 8 films. My Magnasonic was clamping the film so tight it wouldn't feed for more than a few seconds without quitting or having frame-frame jitter so bad it would be unwatchable. fwiw on the take-up side I still only wrap around the two leftmost posts instead of all 3. If I use all 3 the film tightens up after 10-15 seconds of running and after that the motor seems not powerful enough to continue pulling it, so it just clicks.

Yeah your paper trick worked!!! thanks so much, i had to make a template to ensure it did not affect the notch, and had to experiment with different layers to get it right. Talk about KODAK cutting corners or cutting down the middle.

Hola Ron. Saludos y gracias.

i wonder if anyone has had any luck modifying a #2 miniature phillips screwdriver in order to reach the the press plate adjustment screws? I have a brand new Wolverine MovieMaker Pro and right out of the box it wanted to chatter and jam on Super 8 films. The regular 8 films run through fine. I've tried to softly hold down the film gate on Super 8 with my fingers, but after a couple of minutes I seem to lose my light touch, same seems to hold true with the paper trick. The screws in the pressure plate appear to be quite tight from the factory, is this normal? I don't want to put the muscle to it and possibly break something. Thanks for your informative videos!

Very good videos Ron! I am a scanner user and I started with stabilization problems. Beyond the programs and editors, I changed the SD memory and I continue with the same as before. I will try your suggestion to adjust the press plate. I hope it works .Thanks.

I have a projector where the angle make it impossible to adjust the screws, it is f880-super-8-converter, maybe just a duff one. worked on 8mm but not my own super 8 mm. Trying all methods of cut up paper. technique.

The folded paper wedge has transformed my year-old Moviemaker Pro into the machine it should have been from the start! Given the jamming I’ve had with all my film reels to date, I want to take the next step and adjust the screws on the pressure plate. But unlike your machine, my lid does not open sufficiently to allow straight-on screwdriver access. I seem to need a tool with the tip set at a right angle to the shank. Am I missing a step? Did you remove part of the assembly above the film gate to allow the lid to open farther? That aside, many thanks for your clear and concise remedy to this nagging issue of film jamming!
