    Welcome to the world of achne! I have it all over my upper body - Chest/back/shoulders/face/neck since my teens 🥲 you can get creams and soaps to help ease the increase of achne appearing or prescription medicines! 🙂 congrats 2months 💪

      Ahh, good old acne 🥲 I feel like a teenager again with the amount of spots I'm getting - and it was only just starting to finally calm down!
      Oof, that sounds so uncomfy 😭 I hope you've found something that helps ease that for you!
      Yeah, my endo said she would prescribe me a topical medicine if it gets really bad, I'm hoping it doesn't get to that point but it's pretty likely tbh 🙃 at least this means we can bitch about our acne together ahaha 🖤

      I can't believe I spelt acne wrong 🤦‍♀️
      Yeah hopefully it won't get too out of control! :)
      I know! I swear people think I'm still a teenager bc of it too lol

      @@rachelfisher992 ahaha don't worry about it, I knew what you meant!
      Omg I have that problem too (not due to acne though - yet). I was talking to someone in a waiting room for a while and she thought I was a kid and I was like..."Oh, I'm 28" 😅

    Hi Corvin loved this update, so excited for you!! Also take this with a grain of salt because everyones transition is different, but a lot of the changes in my voice happened so gradually that I barely noticed it, by 2 months in I kept thinking it wouldn't change any more and getting paranoid about whether it was even working, and now I'm really happy with it but I can't pinpoint when that happened x also I did start waking up at like 4am for a while a couple months in, but now that you mention it, I don't remember and write down my dreams as often as I did pre t, maybe it's a thing haha

      Thank you so much, Sam!! Omg that's so comforting honestly because I feel like the noticeable voice changes are never gonna happen 😭 I have that sense that maybe it will be so gradual I won't notice at first as well. Although I have had a sore throat the past couple days and I thought I was getting sick at first but have had no other symptoms so I'm hoping it's a sign my voice will have its first drop soon! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I'm super happy for you that you're really content with your voice now though, especially since you were worried it wouldn't happen! It must feel so good to speak comfortably at last 🖤
      Ahaha yeah, I never write down my dreams, although I couldn't even if I wanted to these days because they're so hard to remember! I'm glad it might not be just me 😅
      Anyway I feel like I've been rambling on about myself way too much here, I'm so sorry about that lol

      @@CorvinSometimes no not at all i love talking about this stuff, no need to apologize for gettinf excited about something really momentous for you x i know every single transition is different but i think we speak at the same sort of register naturally, and i was about the same at 2 months on a half dose. I dont have a particularly "masculine" voice in my inflections, how i say things, i have a slight lisp, but its really nice and deep now and i absolutely adore it. Now that its deeper i have so much love for my old voice too because i have the emotional capacity to appreciate it without the stress of it outing me, and i wish id recorded it more when i had the chance. Even if its a welcome change, its still a change and every part of transition has something in it to celebrate 💕
      I had on and off cold symptoms for ages and maybe it was partially genuine illness but most of my voice changes happened during or after the colds if thats anything to note x

      Oh and also, you are getting facial hair at a way faster rate than i did, if its anything to go by, im only just getting hair on the sides of my face after almost 8 months on a full dose and none above my lip, so im gonna call it now ur gonna have an awesome moustache

    • @CorvinSometimes
      @CorvinSometimes  Год назад

      Ahh, interesting! It's cool talking to someone who used to speak at roughly the same register. Also I think it's kinda beautiful how you're able to now look back at your old voice with love since you don't have that stress surrounding it anymore. I think I probably wouldn't be as bothered by my current voice if it didn't out me all the time, so it'll be interesting to look back at it one day and maybe see it in a similar way as you do with your voice.
      But same, I don't think I talk in a very 'masculine' way either and I doubt that will change, but I really don't mind as long as my voice gets deeper.
      Ok so I looked up what this T cold is and apparently (according to a random trans guy's endo), it's post nasal drip caused by T? Not trying to diagnose anyone of course, but that's what I found 😅 Either way, maybe it'll change the way I look at getting cold symptoms because it'll mean a voice drop might be on its way haha
      Wait really?? Omg another commenter said I seem to be growing body hair at a faster rate too! Although to be fair, I feel like I had a head start because I've always had a noticeable pre-T moustache 🤔 But thank you, you're getting me so excited!! Can't wait for this facial hair, just another fun way to express myself 🥸
      God my comment got so long, sorry about that! Don't feel obligated to reply to every point I made because I know it's a lot haha 🖤

    As someone who has been on T for over a year now, those raised spots on the shoulder areas are probably new hairs trying to grow! I made the mistake of picking at them all and now have a lot of acne. Every day I’m lightly scrubbing those areas in the shower and putting on stuff to prevent acne, and it’s gotten way better. Hopefully this helps!! : D

    • @CorvinSometimes

      Ooooh that's exciting, I hope it's new hairs rather than acne!! Thank you for shedding some light on this for me. I think it might be both tbh, because some of them were definitely legit spots but others are like little raised bumps that just hang out there all the time. It makes me wonder if the spots on my neck are actually new hairs trying to grow too? 🤔 I'll take your advice though - daily scrubs and no picking! 😆
      And congrats on being over a year on T, that's so awesome 😭

    im going to be 2 months on T in a few days so we have a really similar timeline which is exciting!! it's so interesting seeing the difference in your changes vs mine

    • @CorvinSometimes
      @CorvinSometimes  Год назад +1

      omg that's so awesome, congrats!! I'm super curious about the similarities/differences we have considering the timeline, if you feel comfortable sharing any details 😊 Either way I'm really happy for you! 🥳

      @@CorvinSometimes congrats to you too!! for the similarities: i've gotten similar amounts of spots as you, and also on places other than my face which i haven't experienced before. i also have some on my chest/collarbones, shoulders, and back. i think i've also had some insomnia since starting T and i didn't even know that could be a side effect!
      for the differences: i think ive had a bit of a voice drop which really surprised me because i feel like when looking at other peoples timelines you don't see any voice changes until at least 3 months, so it feels really early but exciting! ive also noticed that ive become a bit hungrier and just eat more food now but i haven't had any every level increase. ive also had no changes with body hair that ive realized so again it's cool seeing how you have!!

    • @CorvinSometimes
      @CorvinSometimes  Год назад +1

      Ahh that's so so interesting, thank you for sharing this with me! I never knew T could cause insomnia either, it's so fascinating how it effects each person differently in that way. I'm sorry you're struggling with that though, insomnia sucks so much 😭
      I'm so jealous you've already had a little voice drop, that's so awesome!! Also really intriguing that not everyone gets an increase in body hair during the first couple months because I just assumed it was universal. I think that shows I definitely still have much to learn in this area!
      Good luck with your transition, I hope you get some more of those wanted changes soon 🖤🖤
