I could be imagining things but I feel since Josh left the band, it's given Hayley a chance to really bring more angst and depth to the lyrics that was always dying to come out in their earlier work, as Josh tended to keep the riffs light and funky. She has some dark stories and lessons to tell and I feel she finally has more of a chance to do this and with it bring impact

Jesus Christ is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. They that believeth and are baptized (with the Holy Spirit) shall be saved; but they that believeth not shall be damned. Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness.
*God is ONE manifesting himself as THREE;* the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! *For these three are one.*
As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him.
Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.

Another truth many have been deceived of:
When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE!
Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals!
The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil.
I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.
Open your heart to God, repent of your sins (he will forgive you), and let him direct your path. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands and purify your heart, lest you walk with the devil and follow him to hell.

I think it was in the New Yorker’s review of the album that the critic said the album’s lyrics would dull over time but I completely disagree. Hundreds of civilians died in Gaza today. 7 months after this song was released, probably longer since it was recorded. What the critic failed to recognize was that This Is Why was not meant to be reviewed in a temporal context. It, like all of the greatest rock albums, only parades itself as the sound of a moment, when in reality, it is music we are forced to reckon with, cry over, take solace in and return to time after time. Thank you always Paramore for providing contextual record of the human experience at this particular moment in time.

And it sounds like pure growth, with the rage, energy and authenticity of your first years as a band but with the added experience of being an old seasoned veteran of the music industry. There is only one side to be on when there is a war. The side of peace. Funny thing is the war supporters will all say you support one side or the the other when really all you want is the violence to end because politics is not important to the people who are suffering.

Holy shit. I am 15 all over again. I've loved this band since I discovered them when I was 12 and honestly seeing them evolve was the best thing growing up. And ngl Hayley and her music saved me when I was the most depressed in 2020. This band is a blessing. This woman is a blessing. Their music is a blessing.

Though I think it's important to keep the hype, Paramore are delivering not only musically but lyrically and we shouldn't forget the message they're trying to portray in the video and the content of the things they're saying. Otherwise we would be being _useless behind our computers_ just as described in the song.
This is a message to be kinder to others and more aware of what's going on around us, and also having a critical mind to the information we're consuming and sharing.
    Freaking geniuses!!!!! ♡
