Yeah. I am 65 and just started to learn how to play the guitar a month ago and I too am struggling with a smooth transition between chords. Some are easier than others. I'm working with an instructor but I came across this channel and hope to utilize it more when I am ready to start to play more songs.

Thanks for the video. I've been playing 35 yrs and this is just fine for me, as a singer. Songs don't need to be hard. I just need to learn more songs faster. I put a simple fingerstyle pattern over Wonderful Tonight. It works pretty good. This goes in the gig book.

Nice to see some beginner level teaching going on here. Seems so many of the instruction vids are way past this stage. I used to play and I was pretty good at picking out part of a song and after the part that is played I would tend to go off on my own take on the rest. Not accurate to the song but I only play for my own pleasure anyway. I used to live on hammer ons and pull offs and could pick the right string ever time, those were things that I took for granted. That is where I was 35 years ago. Then I got a bad case of carpal tunnel syndrome and had to quit until not too long ago. I found that I'm worse now than when I first started out in the 60s and 70s. Still playing the same HagstromII that I bought while in the Army in the 70s. Still love that guitar.
