I get the east coast and west coast area is like THE lacrosse spot but getting a team in the Midwest would help expand the sport dramatically. Saint Louis has begun the lacrosse explosion and with a D1 team in the area it is going to grow even more.
Imo, they should have a team in Columbus Ohio. The Machine of MLL had decent numbers in terms of attendance. Plus, the HS scene in central & southwest are huge. Also, can get help from Ohio State as well. Since Coach Meyer is the U20 team USA head coach.
@Team Carolina lax ATL is 100 percent because it has the biggest international airport. If they run games on back to back weekends at home, I could see a few international people flying in for a week to see two games. New York is a lock. Dallas or Houston. Denver. North Carolina splits between northeast and ATL. Philly would get viewers. Boston. I see..... New York..Philly. Boston. DCish. North Carolina. ATL. Denver. Dallas. If only they held open tryouts to actually get the best players. Only stupid people go to college to learn nonsense they can learn on their own.
@Team Carolina lax if you mean four hours, then yes. Charlotte is "two hours from ATL" 🤣 in a Cessna you might do it in two hours. Even a commercial jet is gonna be an hour flight gate to gate.
@@justarandominternetdude2579 “Best” is all relative. NY has more good players than MD because there’s nearly twice as many people on Long Island than there are in the entire state of Maryland (7M vs 4M). But as for leagues, there’s no better league in the country than the MIAA-A conference in the Baltimore metro area. The concentration of talent is just unreal.
@@jjlax7 so why have there been more schools from NY ranked in the national top 25 than Maryland schools over the past 20 years? On a consistent basis.
Thank you Paul for putting so much effort on developing lacrosse and pushing it to the world. Hopefully will see you and PLL teams playing in Hong Kong, which is my hometown!!!!!
Start an Asian league. It's pretty simple. Start with four teams within two hours drive of eachother. Sponsors and gear are nearby. Contact existing sports owners and arenas or fields. They'll have a low wage, if any, for a couple years. It may be amateur. But once you get traction you're fine. If you get free gear from.sponsors, all the martial art schools will have guys who can play. A guy who actively trains spear and nunchucks and Kali sticks can play lacrosse. And , no joke, if he's a good weapons martial artist, he can play lax at a high level within just a few months. I started training Kali sticks and it made my lacrosse insanely good. I played hockey before lacrosse and I was the best lax player in my state , my age, after only two full seasons in highschool . All the stick sports have tremendous carry over. Asia is begging for a big lacrosse league. You might even recruit gardeners who use manual tools, like scythes, and.machetes. I met young guys in Honduras, when I taught scuba, and they were professional machete gardeners......you hire them to come out and swing a machete for half a day, and they trim your property. Those guys can play lacrosse.....it's the same thing. They also play soccer. So they have good footwork,.and can swing a stick. They could learn lax in a few months. And be good at it. You might be surprised .
I would love to see a team in Buffalo! It's so fun to watch the Bandits and we could use a PLL team, especially if Bryne and Smith stay nearby. Otherwise, anywhere in NYS would be a perfect home base.
We'd go crazy for a team out here in Utah, the games out here have been well attended and we have been growing every year. Maybe the Archers??? that would go good with the Ute culture here in utah, the colors would match our state as well. Let's hope utah is represented
If the PLL would put a team in the mountain portion of the country. I could see them going to Denver. Bc the Outlaws of the MLL had amazing attendance & UD lax program becoming a national power in college. But I wouldn’t be mad seeing a team in Salt Lake either. Since the Utes made the tournament this year.
It’s a dream of mine to to see a 32 team league like the NFL or NHL. I know it strenuous on players, but it’s an opportunity for all the college kids who don’t get drafted or make the cut for the 8 teams. I also just want the Denver Outlaws to come back 🥲
We need a team in NC based in the Raleigh-Durham area, we've got both UNC and Duke two powerhouses of college lacrosse, were kind of the lacrosse capital of the south-eastern united states plus hockey is huge so I imagine hockey fans would start watching lacrosse if we had a local team.
@@aldenweaver8237 IDK based on my experience at the Charlotte PLL games and at DUKE VS UNC games, usually the largest lacrosse games in the triangle both cities on their own have a pretty equal lacrosse fanbase present, so I would imagine it will come down to voting and the location of other teams in the area.

you should put the redwoods in salt lake utah. that’s everyone’s favorite team here and the utah utes made it to the sweet 16 of the ncaa tournament so lacrosse is booming here now
I like the reginal base idea better than the state or city base. With the regional "home" team hosting around the region in major cities rather then one spot. More exposure to the game and fans from local areas get and opportunity to see their "home" team. Also it would still holds to the roots of PLL beginnings of travelling theme.

Maybe he doesn't want the headache and can use it as an opportunity to bring back another one of the original names with the Bayhawks.

Minneapolis, as the purpose of having a home city is to grow the sport of lacrosse, and the only way to do that is to open it up to new markets. While initially it might not bring in as much as much as a lacrosse “hot bed” but it is a hot bed for a reason and could easily support an expansion team. Where will the Archer's end up ? That's all I care about. Hopefully great lakes / Ontario, but if not the mid West. So I can still go to games. Allot of the archers play for The Rock so it makes sense
