Metallica in the 80s was very different than the black album, load or reload. The shock on your faces when songs like this or dyers eve start seems to say "this isn't the same band that did enter sandman right?" Yeah, they were beasts back in the day.

My favorite is "Fight fire with Fire" because it's the first song from Metallica I ever heard. Was sitting in the backseat of a Ford Granada while the cars owner cranked it up to 11...oh yeah, Catholic high school too, late 1985!
It warms the cockles of this old heart (not that old i'm about to turn 50) to see you two enthusiastically rock out to Metallica!!! I was 14 when I snuck out of the house and went to Johnstown to see them in 1986. Sadly that was only a few months before Cliff Burton would die. I saw them live 6 more times after that!!!! Hello Mia and Juliet, great song! And still say You Really REALLY Really REALLY Sincerely should check out To Live is To Die it's powerful and moving but is Rockin at same time. Please! I know you'll love it! As I said it was inspired by Cliffs passing. Now and for years it's called in memory of Cliff live. Also Anesthesia Pulling Cliff's Badassery of a bass solo played by Rob Trujillo now is A epic Live song combo.

Great reaction. Lightning was the first Metallica album I ever heard. I was 13 and it was unlike anything I had heard before. Although I lost interest in them after the Black album, Metallica's first 3 albums are thrash metal gold. No filler just great songs. Keep thrashing.
Trapped Under Ice and Escape were always a great one-two punch on the album.
James dont like to play Escape live....they only played it ONCE.

This song always reminds me of the Franklin Expedition from the 1840s, especially the three sailors who were buried on Beechey Island and dug up by scientists in the late 1980s. If you've seen those photos, you know exactly what I mean.
This is by far Metallica's most underrated song one of my all-time favorites great reaction ladies
They really shine on this album. One of the very best. Hand of doom has a tight grip on me. Badass

Beacuse Dyers Eve and Trapped Under Ice are deep cuts from the early era
They have been known to throw in some songs that they don't normally or haven't played live in awhile, just to change up the set list. But either way, I think it's good that they are getting a broader view of the band. I'm pretty sure too that they know most of the staples that are most likely to be played.
