Please keep this car alive at all costs, 1st generation Eclipse GS-T's or GSX's in Europe are extremely rare and they're amazing machines. I used to have a '92 DSM and still miss it to this day
I just bought a 93 eclipse gs a few months ago, I’m getting it fixed up soon and THIS is the video I’m showing the guy that’s going to do the paint and body.
bad as is with most eclipses i have a 3g and have a few buddys with 1st and second gen's and we all wonder why we bought it when we break it for the third time that month
My 1g runs very well. It was left in a mess from the previous owner. But once you do all the maintenance you're good to go. Remember these cars are over 30 years old. Stuff will begin to break. Maintenance is key.
@@coknews4270 That's not true, a lot of DSM's go boom because you can push out a lot of power with not much money. So, people use cheap-ass parts that don't last, or push power while leaving the clutch, tranny or any other components alone. That, is ofcourse a recipe for disaster. keep it under 250ish hp with quality components, don't thrash it, maintain it at a decent rate and it's just fine. My '92 DSM never had any faults apart from the regular maintenance like brake pads, plugs, etc. It fired up every single time
