I cannot make the description of this video any longer because of the max characters, so I'd like to say something here. I am absolutely moved by the response of this medley just after the first day. I am so incredibly proud of the project, as I am of every single person who was involved with it. I think it's really something special. There are so many people I wanted to include in this but could not - actually many of which people are saying they missed in the comments. Some of them were invited but were too busy, and some, despite my best efforts, I couldn't make room for because of the need for diverse musical styles in this project. Either way, I hope to work with these artists in the future. For this project I stuck to the main series of Super Mario. This unfortunately doesn't include the spin-offs (Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG, etc.) and I understand any disappointment at that, as I would have loved to have featured those too. I think the line between what should and shouldn't have been included would have blurred as soon as I added those games, though, and I didn't want to run the risk of an even longer medley. I hope to do something in the future with those. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it, and thanks to all of you for watching and enjoying. Many countless hours went into arranging, mixing, and perfecting each individual section, style, and transition to be one consistent yet diverse medley. I'm so proud of this and I hope you enjoy it. You did an amazing job Jules. It’d be cool to see more titles explored with this, such as Zelda over the years. The metal tribute to video game history was very similar, but seeing so many other creators and musicians come together is something special. It was really cool seeing you and CSGuitar89 on screen, playing guitar together. The amount of work and patience required to put something like this together is insane. Glad you were able to handle that task!

This might be ages late, but boy, I had such a nostalgia trip listening to this medley. While I haven't played every Mario platformer ever, Mario certainly has been part of my life since forever, starting with the good ol' Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart 64 at a tender age of 4 years, and now, 22 years later, I am still a proud and happy video game fan. By the way, what tune is the one used exactly at the end? You know, where Mario's voice say "Thank so you much for playing my game".
The theme at the end which also appears at 1:10 is a segment of Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels (which was the original SMB2 in Japan, but was so hard Nintendo decided to remake another game from Shigeru Miyamoto, Doki Doki Panic, with Mario graphics and music as SMB2 in the rest of the world). Although the original SMB2: Lost Levels on the NES didn't feature any title theme (only an extended version of the Ending Theme which was supposed to be included in the original SMB, but was cut because of the lack of space in the cartridge), the remastered version in the Super Mario All-Stars collection on the SNES had a rearrangement of the SMB Underwater Theme (which is often used as a title theme for remasters such as those on the GBA), with this little twist at the end. Let’s not lie, Nintendo (with Mario in specific) is the best ever! It has a little bit for everyone! A bit of puzzle solving, a few board games, exciting racing, a tad of RPGs, deep stories, some fighting, and awesome platforming: all with amazing music; that’s all you need in your games! Nintendo is the best, and I am glad to enjoy most of these awesome games! It also goes to show, you don’t need to best graphics to be amazing!

Wow! I'm a 41 year old man and you guys just brought tears to my eyes. I've played every single Mario game. That was a crazy trip down memory lane. From the beginning to Odessey which i just finished a few weeks ago. My kids saw me shed a tear a didn't understand. Maybe some someday they will. Anyway thanks so much for that. Amazing!!

This might be ages late, but boy, I had such a nostalgia trip listening to this medley. While I haven't played every Mario platformer ever, Mario certainly has been part of my life since forever, starting with the good ol' Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart 64 at a tender age of 4 years, and now, 22 years later, I am still a proud and happy video game fan.
By the way, what tune is the one used exactly at the end? You know, where Mario's voice say "Thank so you much for playing my game".
The theme at the end which also appears at 1:10 is a segment of Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels (which was the original SMB2 in Japan, but was so hard Nintendo decided to remake another game from Shigeru Miyamoto, Doki Doki Panic, with Mario graphics and music as SMB2 in the rest of the world).
Although the original SMB2: Lost Levels on the NES didn't feature any title theme (only an extended version of the Ending Theme which was supposed to be included in the original SMB, but was cut because of the lack of space in the cartridge), the remastered version in the Super Mario All-Stars collection on the SNES had a rearrangement of the SMB Underwater Theme (which is often used as a title theme for remasters such as those on the GBA), with this little twist at the end.

Let’s not lie, Nintendo (with Mario in specific) is the best ever! It has a little bit for everyone! A bit of puzzle solving, a few board games, exciting racing, a tad of RPGs, deep stories, some fighting, and awesome platforming: all with amazing music; that’s all you need in your games! Nintendo is the best, and I am glad to enjoy most of these awesome games!
It also goes to show, you don’t need to best graphics to be amazing!
