    Rather have Teoscar than Soto.

People always either forget or disregard losing Max Muncy ON THE LAST DAY of the 2021 regular season. That was an absolutely devastating blow so let’s not underestimate the effect that had on their 2021 NLCS loss to the Braves.

Yeah that one hurt big time. On top of losing Muncy, Walker was spent and ended up needing a second TJ. And last year they basically had a broken Kershaw, some rookies, and Lance Lynn as their starters. Tell me how that's just running into a buzz saw? Although it just seemed like they didn't have fight after going down because despite the first game, the other two games were only 4 runs put up by the D-backs.

Then this year with Freddie. Moving forward I’d like Doc & the front office to prohibit any risky behavior around first base after September 1. 😉
(Also: no home run celebrations more forceful than high fives.)

Of course they’ve had better teams. There’s no debate to be had.
This 98-win team was in fact their “worst” team of the past five seasons. That’s how astonishingly good this franchise has been.

What the Dodgers did in the entire 162 games, playoffs, and World Series is mind-boggling considering all the injuries they had. I don’t think other teams will ever do what they did.
We didn’t have a solid pitching team to compete with the Padres, Mets, and Yankees, but they managed to beat them by a miracle in the crucial 11 playoff games they needed to win to win the World Series. Dave Roberts and his coaching staff deserved some respect, with him winning the manager of the year. He deserves the respect of the fans and all baseball.
We all wanted him fired in the midseason because of how poorly they were playing, but it was because they were struggling to win games with the roster they had.
    Sorry Dave!
    You earned my respect.
And if the Dodgers sign Roki Sasaki and are willing to sign Juan Soto, this team is going to be loaded with future Hall of Famers and talent all over the field; they just need to stay healthy, and maybe they can win back-to-back titles, and they can now call it a dynasty.

I don't know if the win totals of other years really match up to this year. This year, the NL had fiercer competition all over the league. I think the competition was higher than just "the Dodgers weren't that good this year compared to other years." I do think this offense was the best it's been in a long time because this lineup really didn't get set until mid August after Mookie and Muncy came back and Edman joined after getting healthy too. Of course, the big glaring issue this year was the starting rotation or lack thereof. But this bullpen was arguably the deepest one in the playoffs. Maybe didn't have the best one reliever, or best duo or relievers, but you had many high leverage guys that Dave could count on.
I still think there's some things being overlooked for whatever reason, but it is what it is. All that matters to me is that they won and most people picked against them. The intangibles were definitely better this year.

Soto might be a better player than Teoscar, but is he a better locker room guy than Teoscar? Teoscar seems to be the heart and soul of the Dodgers.

Soto isn't even a better hitter than Ohtani and he's also a defensive liability. I will be shocked if he gets $700M unless he agrees to deferrals which he's said he won't

I'd like the dodgers to not care about the tax this year so they can go back to back. I'd tell Soto if i were the dodgers "our only offer Mr. Soto.. 1 year 65 million. That's our offer. Yes or no?" If he doesn't take that let him walk away.
