      They Weren't.....all Countrys Were allowed to Vote for thenselfs that's Why Poland won...because Ofcourse most of the Viewers were Polish....If should have been like the years befor and the th e normal esc. I Should of Stayed that wary that you can't vote for your own Country

      @@graciedancer3952 I just wrote about the organisation, that it was really great. So haha I dont see the sense of the comment.
      But
      In 2017 Poland didn't win online voting. But views were high.
      In 2018 JESC was transmited on a kids' channel, and during the voting the views were low. After Roksana's winning TVP put it live on the main Channel TVP1. After the voting.
      In 2019 the song was just great. It placed 2nd in jury voting and 1st in online voting.
      I also agree they should not allow to vote for your own country. But c'mon. Poland sent great songs. Everyine in JESC was great

    Watch Georgia’s victory performance in 2016. The singer got so emotional that she coldn’t sing and then all of the other contestants just all went in for a group hug. It was so cute and is why I love the Junior contest. The kids just have so much more fun with it!

    Interestingly, Wales has taken part since 2018. If the UK were to come back to JESC, then they would have to withdraw and take part as part of the United Kingdom. Plus, 60% of the song must be in the country's national language, which means we get to hear songs in Welsh, Irish, among others.

    Its practically the same, though there are a few changes:
    - Televote does not exist, you have an online voting across europe in which you pick 3 to 5 countriws twice, one days before the show and once after they sing, then votes are proportionally distributed (well, everyome gets 12 points from online voting to avoid a kid receiving a 0 point)
    - Backing vocals can be prerecorded
    - Spain is actually the king of jesc

    15:00
    -JESC went back to having member-broadcasters bid for the rights in hosting the contest since 2017 (when Belarus won the bid for 2018 despite Russia winning that year). Poland bid hard for the next two editions, encouraged by their recent back-to-back wins. At least between 2013 and 2016, broadcasters had first right of refusal upon winning the junior contest, of which Italy waived that right, and Bulgaria went on to host 2015.

  • @jlhabitan50
    @jlhabitan50 4 года назад +1

    I started following JESC in 2016, not exactly a good year to start off because of how badly organized that contest was when Malta hosted the second time. I did have some favorites there though, like Ireland, Poland and Georgia. Armenia's was a baahp while The Netherlands' entry was a playful earworm. Stefania GR 2020/21 was part of that year's Dutch participants. :)

    7:10 actually for junior one they almost never did it in winning country. I believe Poland broke that unwritten rule, cause it was our first win ever in any Eurovision so they let us have it.
    17:00 Both Polish girls were really young though. Around 12 I believe?
    17:25 You do have to remember that we as Poles were waiting for the win for decades. It is obvious we would go all out with it. Including using the best performance arenas we have in the country.

    • @mrPp475
      @mrPp475 3 года назад

      Poland is not the center of the world,come on. The first time that the winning country hosted it was back in 2011 in Armenia, cause they had won the year before. There have been bigger arenas before the polish one. The bigest one was the one from Belgium in 2005, and also the one from Bulgaria in 2015,or the one from Belarus in 2018. Roksana was 13/14. But Viki was 12.

    • @mjm3091
      @mjm3091 3 года назад

      @@mrPp475 Did you even read my comment? Yeah Armenia did host that's why I said almost. Actually 6 countries hosted after they won JESC out of 17 editions. But what I was saying was that they most likely "broke" the unwritten rule for us, cause it was our first win ever. Not that they made special singular exception just for us - but the reasoning why in Poland's instance they decided to do it.
      And yeah - 12-13 is what you would call AROUND 12.
      I don't what is the area talk about. Like this has no relevance to what I wrote and what the video was saying. I wasn't even talking about the size.

    Some interesting facts about Junior Eurovision:
    Until 2016, all songs had to be written (at least in part) by the kids themselves.
    The format is almost entirely the same as in ESC, except that a lot fewer countries participate and that the voting system is entirely different, and quite controversial. You'll see why it's controversial when you watch the 2019 full show.
    Another difference is that the winning country doesn't have to host the next edition, and in fact this didn't happen at all until 2011. Since then, the winner has hosted two thirds of the time.
    Georgia has won the most times, but Spain has the highest average placement, as they never fell out of the top 4.
    Belarus and The Netherlands are the only two countries to have participated in every edition. But for the rest, countries come and go constantly. Most ESC countries have participated at least once in JESC.
    Belarus, Serbia and Kazakhstan joined JESC before they joined ESC.

    In the first years the kids had to write the songs them selves. They wouldn't get any help from professionals until they been picked to compete in their national finals. They could only sing in the official languages in their countries. This is why I love the early years of Jesc because it was in my opinion a competition for children and teenagers.

    What's more the contest will take place in Poland again. But not in a bjg arena, like in 2019 in Poland, that consisted 15k people inside. It will be in a TV studio, bc of the same reason. The health is the most important!

      That's not really true. Since 2011,almost every country that won hosted it,except 3 times.
      -2011: Hosted in Armenia (they won in 2010)
      -2012: After winning in 2011,Georgia refused to host,so The Netherlands,who came second the year before,hosted it
      -2013: Hosted in last year's winning country,Ukraine
      -2014: Hosted in Malta after winning
      -2015: Italy,the winner of 2014,refused to host,and Bulgaria,the one who came 2nd,got to host it
      -2016: Hosted in Malta after their second victory
      -2017: Hosted in Georgia after their victory
      -2018: Host country,Belarus,was chosen some days before the 2017 edition. I believe as a recognition for being one of the only two countries that had participated every year since the first edition,and they didn't had the opportunity to host it before.
      2019 and 2020: Poland hosted two times after their twice-in-a-row victories.
      Next,2021: France after winning in 2020 edition

    I have been watching junior esc för many years and voting is annoying and terrible, each country can vote for itself and the best songs always end up at the bottom. It is broadcasted in early afternoon on secondary channels and some countries like Ireland just show recorded show after it is finished so public can't vote. Poland won last 2 years because of huge number of their public watched it. 90% of Esc fans do not watch it at all. Check Serbian entry 2019 it got just 10th place: ruclips.net/video/xpB4FRyXh6g/видео.html
    and 2015, 8th place ruclips.net/video/NcaFIW1M7Z8/видео.html
