I’m sat alone,with my self… no destruction just myself. It’s hard to understand how I got to this point in my life…. Though me not taking in what’s going on around me,or just coving over cracks in my life until there no more stuff left to cover over with. What ever the out come I’m here….. so time now to go full on and face what’s coming. I miss being younger just living life from day to day pay cheque to pay cheque but that’s gone. I’m glad I’ve live the life I have…… but it came with a price…..the price of………love! In so many different ways. Here's a story, a poem, and a vent (if you will) my words hold the burden of my soul my heart wheezes in its’ attempt of expression You claim casualty of what i felt genuine. Yet while you’re genuine, I can only handle casual pointlessness. At least then i don’t have to feel, but can simply pretend. I am not a strong being of nature for those i care for, i will be, but against the monster or angel of love, i am but a reed in a hurricane. A fool in the court of wisdom and a sinner in the arms of God. Crave not what you’ve never felt, for you may be craving either poison or decadence. Only by the feeling of your body uplifting in the skies or bleeding out on the floor will you know which you consumed. This was written because of a man I met a month ago. His jokes and flirts were innocent until not, and every once in a while I participated. I encouraged it and gave false hope. Confrontation about the depth of his words and why I can't take that type of thing lightly brought out the truth that I don't want him in a romantical way, that I saw him as a human, a friend and someone who I could play online games with and nothing deeper. I don't seek a relationship at all currently...so he threatens me with suicide. His mind, and I knew this when we met, is plagued with depression. But his words never sounded like it, and when they did he was quiet, soft and broken. But moments after I expressed my lack of love his confessions of self-harm, a yearning to buy a gun, and trying to hold his breathe to sleep caught me by surprise. I have been met with a choice from this man, to either agree to this deal of always listening to him when he asks for something or to not do so, which will cause his death at the end of this month. (it is 5/20/24) I know in my mind this is manipulation, and I know my heart is too soft to ignore this. I am torn, my Christianity wants to beg and plea with him, to convince him of the greater things of this world. It wants to pray, intercede for his soul while helping him in his way. But my 18yr old self just wants to curl in a ball on my mothers lap and never talk to this man again. To ignore the possibility that he will genuinely take his life if I say no, and to run away from it all, begging God will take it into his hands without me trying. I no longer can hide under the guise that I'm only a child, I am an adult with mature thoughts, responsibilities and words that hold meaning. I am a deeply feeling woman, a woman who would push this man out of the way of a car if I had to, so why is it so hard to save him from suicide if it could mean (based on his possible requests) I sell my soul and body
