    Thanks for this, I have found the rubber strip at the base collects dust leaving dust stripe on the carpet, so a stiff narrow brush to dig out this collection point or a terminal screwdriver to pry out one end, to slide out remainder. (Note. 8 screw head assemble)

    Got this one for 5 years. Very good. 1 year or more before, it began to work wors. The truth is that we haven't been very tidy? profesional? with the maximun ammount of "dirt" that the vacuum admit (the dots) and despite of that, the device has hold up to know.
    I clean filters in gas station, wiht the machine for blowing wheels up. That use to be enough to get them pretty clean. Cause if you use water you have to wait 24 hours or so.
    Nowadays I'm choosing if i buy a new one (not this model), or I "update" this, with second hand pieces. My motorized brush is broken, so I removed the inner brush. A new whole one costs 56 euros but you can find the whole vacuum at 50 even less.
    Succion power is lower now, but even with that, the machine works. Though without the inner spinning brush the dirt stucks? in the little external wheels.
    Ah....if We had been more careful with this trasto, it would have endured for longer as new, for sure.
    If you know where to buy cheap pieces, please let me know.

    Useful video, but I have had a hell of a job getting the plastic casing back on where the large filter is at the back of the cleaner. In fact, part of it has cracked under the strain and I have had to leave out some white gauze which was located underneath the black foam filter. i will never attempt to remove this again.

    This is really useful, thanks! I wonder if you have any other suggestions as to what might be causing lack of sucking? My vacuum is 6 months old and has suddenly stopped sucking (not a good thing for a vacuum cleaner!). I have cleaned it thoroughly in accordance with your instructions in this video, but it hasn't made a difference. Any suggestions?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  7 лет назад +3

      If you have cleaned the filters thoroughly then there may be a blockage. If you remove the head at the bottom, and check the main airways to see if there is anything that could be blocking it. If not i should ring Bosch to get them to have a look as it will be covered under the 2 years warranty.

    • @lords-electrical

      Hi In theory it should work, but Bosch wouldn't really recommend it. Because the bristles on the brush are quite soft i would just recommend leaving the brush in as it shouldnt damage wooden floors

    Hello and thanks for this informative video.
    One question though: I have got a BCH6ATH25. At first, the motor used to start and stop without making any unnatural sound. But after 2 days, it makes a whistling noise which is most hearable when the motor is being turned off.
    Maybe this is normal for the ball-bearings or the armature to make this noise...
    Could you please tell me if your device makes a similar whistling noise?
    I really want to know if this is normal. Thank you...

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  5 лет назад

      Hi, It shouldn't normally make a whistling noise. If it is still under the 2 year warranty perhaps contact Bosch to see if they can help out.

    1. I've just spent an hour and a half doing all the obvious things in this video. In this case, the user had *never* emptied the machine. Consequently, there was a solid build up of dust and detritus from the head into that cute little chamber. The secret you don't mention here is that you need to depress that lower button on the back and pull the bottom half of the machine off. This exposes the hose, which if it's been used long enough with regular emptying will clog solid. In such caes, if you don't do this, you are wasting your time if you only empty the chamber.
    2. Secondly, I don't know about the comment regarding a number 8 screw head. Mine has torx head screws.

    • @lords-electrical

      The battery will not die, but will gradually deteriorate over time. This will be the same as most cordless products that the maximum runtime will reduce the more it is charged up and used.

    My bosch Athlet drops debris after I have switched it off. Why is this

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 года назад +1

      It is normally where the filter needs a good wash. If you have done that, then it can also be that the filter needs replacing if it has been washed several times, or there may be a blockage of something within the brush area.
