For those who really want to improve in shooting:
Focus on things even if it sounds obvious or boring. I spent years to get my shots right and it didnt work until a few months ago. I couldnt even shoot the ball straight consistently. I really looked back and tried to rebuild my shot. The problems was actually the things that I’ve heard for many many times but I chose to ignore, because they just don’t sound cool. For example, my preparation for shots. Ive heard of this for numerous times. But I never really focus on this because it just sounds boring and insignificant. Like, Kobe brings his ball from whereever and still makes the shots. The thing is, we are not Kobe, we are not as good. We should focus on the boring stuff first, to build up to the advanced stuff. Im also pretty sure that if Kobe has a wide open shot, he would prepare for the shot correctly too. By putting the ball at the right place before i shoot, it really brought my percentage up significantly. There are many other things that I fixed to shoot better, and most of them, Ive already heard of. So, dont overlook and choose to ignore them just because you think it is not significant or you think you are already doing it. Really observe yourself and examine the problem before denying anything. Good luck

Hi coach, can you please make a basic video on how to jump on balance on the jumpshot? i know it sounds super simple but when i film myself, i found that 1) i jump off my right foot mostly 2) which resulted in not enough power so i naturally jump forward 3) which means my jump shot can never be consistent wihtout a balanced jump and i also fuck up my leg. i see a lot of ppl making shots and think they have good form but in reality they are shooting what i call a "walking shot", they can only shoot the ball stepping forward or leaning forward without themselves realizing it. also i hv a timing problem which the ball is at my setpoint then i bent my leg, of course my shot has no power. didn't realize all these until i film myself, the shot look ridiculous as hell...

I usually look at the 2 hooks on each side and the black nail in the middle at the back of the rim and choose which one to aim for on each and every free throw I take and when I shoot a jumpshot I aim right and look at either the front or back of the rim so then if my shots look like their going to miss they will hit both the rim and the Net or they will rattle in.
