I really appreciate your post sir.next time probably should have used the tool box to install the axle instead of putting it on its side I like a clean job you look in a hurry…thanks for sharing
On these videos, I show how I did it and. not have to do it. by putting on its side, it gives better access. and didn't need to lay all over the floor. It was an old scooter and I was not concerned about damaging The paintwork. If I was to do this again, I would remove the batteries and turn it completely upside down. Would made it much easier.
I enjoyed watching this video. Soon I will have a scooter, and now I know if I have an issue with the drive line, I know how to replace it! Thank you so much for this video.. It would have been nice to have someone else handle the camera, while you drive the chair around..just for a few seconds.
I HAVE A QUESTION. I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD PRIDE RAPTOR. 24 VOLT SYSTEM. IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT 2 24 VOLT BATTERYS AND PUT A SWITCH THAT CAN PUT 24 VOLTS TO THE MOTOR. THEN WITH WHAT I CALL A REDUCER SO YOU CAN REDUCE POWER FOR THE LIGHTS HORN AND SO FOURTH. I AM HOPEING BECAUSE I AM NOT LOOKING FOR SPEED. I AM LOOKING FOR XTRA MILES. I GET APPROX 20 MILES. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT GET MORE MILES.
Sorry, I don't know your answer. I am just a guy just like yourself but like to do some of my repairs. It sounds possible. But don't know if it is. Maybe you could speak to someone in a mobility scooter shop? Or mechanic? I am not able of them, I'm afraid. If you find this possible, can you please come back here and post so everyone else can see. Sorry couldn't help you.
I gather you boy's have never customise JACK S. T before you can make ANYTHING if you have the knowledge if you se are any good I want to see made a axle containing 2 motors with a.sprocket welded on hooked up to a car alternator and fixed to a scooter.. before I do it... we'll see who's good 😁😁😁😁
@@videoallsorts That sounds real hard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..you learn stuff like that in basic Coz,auto . mechanics play with things ppl actually give a damn about 🤭

if u have a 4 or 8 mph scooter, the bearings in the shaft near the back wheels will be either a std ball bearing or a needle roller bearing, the ball bearings tend to get noisy but keep working, the needle bearings don't, when they get rusty or very dry they bind up, and lock up, if you go backwards for a bit then forward and it works for a time then that will be your problem, u can get needle roller bearings on eBay, but make sure u get the right size as there are many for the mobility scooters.
Battery cables were disconnected. The batteries are stilled batteries. So didn't think they would leak. Maybe if I did it again I probably would have removed them.😄

@@videoallsorts not a problem
Forgot to grease the axels before putting wheels back on
thumbs UP for Bill
Hey where can I get a Axel from the lil Metal bit from please and what size??
look on eBay for scooter parts, getting small parts might be hard, but finding a complete axle should be easy.
This particular mobility scooter had sealed bearings

Sounds really good. but we are just trying to fix it so it works. The bearings have gone in the old axle.

no gasoline lol
Batteries should've been removed

Sorry for sayin
@@nitsudgnilreps9670 no problem I like everybodys input everyone does things different ways thanks for the comment
tipping batteries like that not good
The batteries on this particular scooter are sealed. I've never had a problem before. Thanks for the comment though. We'll bear that in mind.
Why did you not separate 5he back part from the front. It’s only one pin under the seat and it splits in two. Talk about making a job hard work!!
Looks like it's a complete unit on this one
My axel is broke 😞☺️ It's in repair has been a month as the engineer fell very sick.
