- What are you grateful for? Join in as I show you around the iconic Sparkys restaurant in Hatch New Mexico, show you a little bit of the beautiful scenery in that part of the state, and share a bit of my stay at the Caballo Lake SP in NM.
I am a solo female wanderer, traveling the USA in my 2014 Phoenix Cruiser with my beautiful mixed breed dog Jazzy. Living life on the road for 365 days a year, I find joy in the company of wonderful friends and the breathtaking sights our country offers.
Whether it's the tranquility of a quiet sunrise or the camaraderie of nomadic friendships, each moment is a cherished chapter.
I usually choose the road less traveled, often dry camping without services. My electrical needs are met by solar power, harnessing the sun's energy to charge my house batteries.

I lived all over most of NM most of my life. If you've never been to Whitesands during a full moon, you have to do that. It's like being on a different planet. Now live in Whitefish Montana and really missed my Hatch green chili till recently we can now buy jars of 505 brand of Hatch green chili. Isn't the same as buying a big bag of it and having it roasted on the spot outside the store, but at least I can get a taste of home.
I've been to White Sands but not during full moon. If I'm still in New Mexico come fall I might just do that! Hatch green chilis are tasty. Glad you can get some even if it's not quite as good as fresh roasted. New Mexico and Montana are so different but I love both. What took you to Montana?
