Wow, I really appreciate how you just jump right into all of your videos. So much info these days is laced with nonsense in order to reach the 10 minute mark, only for more ad revenue. I really appreciate your work!

I live in the South, so even riding year round it's rarely too cold for the electric gloves. I may still look for a pair to have on hand for really cold days. Thanks!
Heated Grips heated Seat heated vest 🦺 Heated boots. There's some really good chit out there, A Snowmobile rider friend of mine showed me a lot of tips & tricks on how to keep warm.
I love your videos! Most videos on RUclips are so repetitive and I am always amazed by your originality and usefulness. Im 21 and kinda broke so I highly appreciate the cheap tips. Definitely throwing some nytril gloves and hand warmers in my bag for winter!
Thank you and so glad they're helpful! I'm not so much broke as I am cheap! I'll keep the videos coming... be sure to comment if you have any ideas for future videos
My first bike was liquid cooled. I actually tapped into the cooling system so that I could open two valves and send a small amount of hot coolant through the handlebars. Electric handgrips are much easier to install, but this hot water approach provides crazy heat once the engine is up to operating temperature. If you try this approach, make sure you know how to trace your bike's cooling system. Piping things up wrong could cause serious engine damage.
Now that's an awesome idea and I love it... you must be an engineer or mechanic! Yes, heated grips are much easier for sure. Keep watching and I'll keep posting!
Great stuff as usual. Current bike and previous bike, I had heated grips. Love em and such a game changer. Even days when the sun drops with the temperature, can put them on and no need to stop to add layers. I also have a PowerLet Rapid Fire heated jacket liner. Glorious and feels like you’re back in the womb without having to bulk up like the little brother from A Christmas Story, lol
Thanks, glad you liked it. Yes, they make a huge difference... and taking them off in the Summer keeps your hands much cooler. Please subscribe if you haven't. If you keep watching, I'll keep posting!
These fall temps have definitely made my commute much colder, i've found myself resting my gloves on my bonneville's valve covers at red lights... lol! Thanks for the tips!!
HAHAHA, I used to have an SV650 and I was on some rides that were so cold I would shove one had between the cylinders while riding... and I'd hold the muffler when I got off!
An alternative to nitrile gloves I found because I have perforated leather café type gloves, find that old pair of knit gloves you have laying around and slip them over you glove. You'll be less "fat fingered" than you would be with them under the glove and if you only have to do a short jaunt back home or something, they work perfectly. My hands were decently warm (read as: not frozen) on a trip home from my Japanese class one night recently when it was around 33F, It was probably a 20~30 minute ride, so anything more than that and the cold might start creeping back in
Thanks you! I refuse to watch a 15 minute video for 2 minutes of info, so I keep my videos to the point. Please subscribe if you haven't... if you keep watching, I'll keep posting!
I do the first method shown. That with my heated gloves and hand guards allows me to ride my sportster all the way down to 25 degree weather and be pretty comfortable.
With the Nitro gloves I wouldn't put them on the inside because as he mentions himself your hands will sweat and that will lead to even colder hands (water is not a good insulators in this case). The second way is much better it allows for all the benefits he lists plus it leaves a air gap to help with insulation.
over the gloves is certainly better. If you wear them inside they'll help keep your hands warm even sweaty as long as you leave them on, but it's kinda gross and not nearly as effective
I tried silk liners and they helped but my hands were still too cold. I then added wax cotton over-mits and never had a problem with cold hands again even when getting coated with ice riding in freezing fog.
Thank you! Yes, I ride North Georgia all the time, both pavement and FSR. Happy to ride together sometime. Shoot me an email: ben(at)bengray.com with your contact info.
Ive been pondering heated grips but for the $450 price tag I could buy several battery heated gloves for the same price - any thoughts? Thanks for the videos.
I wouldn't spend that much for heated grips, you can get a decent pair for MUCH cheaper. You can get a pair of Oxford's for $100 (amzn.to/3M6ygYl)... at that price it's well worth it because they're ALWAYS on the bike and ready to go. Glad you liked the video... thanks and keep watching!
hahahaha, I've ridden with alternating hands between the cylinders of a v-twin, but it was water cooled, so not nearly as much heat as an air-cooled... it still. helped!
The surgical gloves didn’t help me for some reason, my hands were absolutely frozen in 3c in windy rainy conditions at anything above 40mph. My gloves were socked doh could be due to that.
The best way is certainly over your riding gloves (even if they’re wet). Under is less effective and wet gloves probably does kill that little bit of extra warmth.

@@mustachemotoyep! "How To Do ______ in 60 Seconds", yet it takes up 10 or more minutes to explain it.
rubber over summer gloves is the best idea
Neoprene gloves on the OUTSIDE of your regular gloves is brilliant.
Eliminating the wind is huge. Great tip
You have to get them big, but it really helps a lot
Another good option are Hippo Hands which work great! There are cheaper brands like Tusk Cold Pro Hand Mitts that retail for less than $40.
I live in the South, so even riding year round it's rarely too cold for the electric gloves. I may still look for a pair to have on hand for really cold days. Thanks!
I’ll definitely look into those this winter.
Hippo Hands are the king of keeping hands warm, especially paired with heated grips. Like slipping your hand into a toasty oven.
I just bought the Tusk version to test out and yes, they are awesome! Thanks for watching, please subscribe if you havent!

100% on adding heat... I use a vest, gloves and grips. If I was in a colder climate, I'd go for the boots and seat too!

Thank you... I've got a Widder heated vest that I've had for years. I feel like a lizard sunning myself on a rock when I turn that thing on!
FXR attack gloves. They have a thinner layer of insulation in the palm to accommodate for heated grips, and dexterity.
I'll check those out, thanks!
Hippo hands or similar wind deflectors are the way to go.
I bet those are great for really cold... I live in the South, so it's rare I'm riding below 40 degrees or I'd have a pair.
Great video sir
I have got the third option. Got a possible winter ride coming up next month. Will see how they do justice for me :)
Let me know!

Excellent winter glove ideas! I also use my heated motorcycle gloves for air to air photography when the temperature dips.
I love that you get extra use out of them!
I like the nitrile gloves over idea. That adds extra visibility, especially using the bright green. I love my Gerbing 12v gloves in the colder months.
They work great and take up no room. Keep watching and I'll keep posting!

Do you ever ride with a passenger? If so, is it necessary for your passenger to have warm hands since they do not have to use gears or anything?
It's all about hand placement for the passenger😜
