Am I the only person not blown away by this performance? he responded well under the whip but very workman like. Not sure this justifies supreme favouritism
I won't be rushing to back him as favourite. That was workmanlike despite showing a turn of foot to go past his rivals. However, some horses idle when they hit the front, maybe he is that animal. No doubt he will be produced very late at Cheltenham, up the hill.
If you didn't know who trained any of these horses and was told afterwards that the winner was single figures for the Supreme Novice Hurdle, you'd laugh your balls off and believe you was having your leg pulled.
Cut the second up like a wood chopper, yet the second had the ability to get back into the runner up position. Kind of think the runner up might be the better horse. The winner jumped like a crab, not sure he found as much as Townsend wanted either but he might be the sort of horse that switches off once in front
I wonder who the best English challenger is in this race. I'm on Salvator at 6/1 (small bet) but I'm just not convinced. Not overly convinced by Romeo Colieo either. DRF might throw up something or is there a Supreme trial on Cheltenham trials day? Need more choices for this race.
Doesn't exactly scream Supreme winner, but he's in the picture alright. That was decent today after pulling hard off the slow pace. Townend was interviewed on RTV this morning and made a point of mentioning that the horse was coming back from a break (8 months), so he should be better for this run. Jumping was poor today but was good at Tipp when he galloped on his own at a better pace.
If you add a bit of perspective to todays run by Salvatore Mundi you would probably mark up the performance because he was quite free and unable to be let loose jumping because of that. When you look at his form in last years Supreme where he finished 17 lengths behind Majborough again on heavy ground which wouldn't have suited him. He gives the strong impression that on a better surface he would be a different proposition. They have Kargesse in the stable who finished runner up to Sir Gino and Majborough who appear to be the best around so I would be surprised if Willie is unaware of what he has got. So the price is very skinny but come the Supreme then if Willie has 2 or 3 representatives I think Townend will be on SM and if the ground came up good to soft then I can't see him being out of the first 3.
For a French horse he’s a bit backward, he has more days off than a politician. He might scoot in knowing the shenanigans of the Irish but he doesn’t look in love with the thing.
Very keen today over a slowly run 2m and won the race with a sharp turn of foot going to the last .... I wouldn't be seeing him as a stayer at this point.
@@johnh1252 Ruby said he wasn’t impressive either dw hahaha, slow gallop got him out of trouble. This horse will need a hike in trip after Cheltenham I’d imagine, can tell there’s more of an engine there as an attribute instead of speed and jumping
if he hurdles like that he's got next to no chance in the supreme. talented, really needs to fix his jumping though. even with better ground, quicker gallop, primed for the run etc. hurdling wise he looks sloppy as fck - that cant win a supreme clattering round prestbury park.
Watch his run at Tipperary...allowed to bowl along at a good pace and jumped much better...he will take most of the Supreme field way out of their comfort zone if he is ridden like that at Cheltenham.

What because he’s not trained by Hendo 😂😂😂😂
@Martin.Lewis.. I would say the same if he was trained by anybody
@mrdangiles90don’t mind him. He’s a hatred for anyone who doesn’t ride closuttons gear stick. He’s obsessed with Willie, if you catch my drift.
@mrdangiles90 - Clueless Lewis is predictably boring, Mullins fanboy who hates Henderson.

Accuslly impressed can see him powering up the hill and he'll get a strong pace 💪 worthy favourite in my opinion
THIS HORSE IS A MACHINE AT WORK!! CONGRATULATIONS TO SALVATORE MUNDI!!
I love reading the glory punters Cheltenham this Cheltenham that 😂
This horse is a beast. Get on for Cheltenham. Machine.
Will be funny to come back here and see what’s said after he win the supreme court
Jumps like a fridge. Clearly a big engine. Will need to improve that massively.
Amazingly Martin hasn't put on he's always liked the horse for 2 years and he's on massively for the supreme 😂😂😂😂😂
Why are you so obsessed with me?
@Martin.Lewis.. u claim winners after the race then moan if anyone says anything
Poor Martin he hasn't a notion about the game 😂😂😂😂
@@Martin.Lewis.Racing.Channelmoney losing Martin
I’m waiting for the Wow just Wow nonsense 😂😂😂
Couldn't have that performance as the fav for the supreme
Salvator Conti is a new one
Martin Lewis is a bookies 🌿 😂
Salvator Mundi STOLED IT LATE...

Salvator Mundi WILL WIN THE SUPREME.
Said that about mystical power and lossiemouth etc etc etc
How can anyone think this horse is going to win a supreme jumping like that
Considering he was training on course done well to win
Jp horse ewas boxed in and was staying on
same time as the maiden winner ,nothing to get excited about yet

A remakakable challenge. That said, Supreme is no cake-walk?

“Shenanigans of the Irish”??. What’s that mean Prince George!!!
Quality horse and defo be top 3 for supreme
Will need to improve
Wouldn't back this with counterfeit at 7/2 for Cheltenham
Can't believe much pat mullins says, got a lot of predictions wrong over Christmas, once Willie goes empire will collapse very soon
Salvator mundi actually
Won’t be winning at Cheltenham jumping like that. Can’t jump for toffee. Massive LAY
Time was very very slow! 3rd slowest in race in 20 years!
It's called education
Looks a stayer wont be good enough for Supreme
I disagree

Ive backed mister meggit for the supreme
As he keeps hitting hurdles he is likely to get injured.
Juice in my opinion. How will Ruby explain so many poor jumps and wins easy? 😭

What an engine this fella has!!!
Im on at 20-1 for the supreme. You take the 4s you little mug😆😆😆

What a 💩 jumper this is!!!
@KevinCarroll-j6n OK Martin you're not fooling anyone
I'd be against him on the day.
Bang average
Salvator WHO?!
Better have a big engine cuz his jumping ain't great. I hope WPM wins the Supreme no matter which runner it is.

Salvator Mundi's gait is weird. No way this way of running will win at Cheltenham. Nothing to do with jumping, just a weird gait.
Needs to learn to jump some engine though 👍
HE WONT WIN AT CHELTENHAM JUMPING LIKE THAT
Can't jump
Not impressed on tday. Could improve in what looks a below average novices division
Coming back from 8 months off. He can and will improve.😊
That was a shit finish it’s a dodgy fav it won’t win lay it heavy Tony.
The New Lion’s much better than that thing
Not impressed happy to say won’t win supreme
Didn’t respect the obstacles.
Why is it’s tounge tied racing against donkeys if it’s that good ?
