Can you imagine being Don Mattingly, and find out one of those kids from that one silly story you have, is actually one of the biggest current comedy stars and he’s telling the story.
Bert tells a story like Swiss cheese: full of holes. High school students running "player appreciations?" What the hell is that? I highly doubt pro ball players went to a high school to do batting practice. He makes no sense, but I guess that's how he makes his living.
Seems to be the term for the drill. The team I coach we call them bow and arrows. You do full sprints, home plate to LF pole back to home plate to CF wall back to home plate to RF pole.
Why would Mattingly be with McGriff, in 89, in Tampa, at a HS, taking BP, during spring training? Problems: 1. 1989 teams: Mattingly - Yankees McGriff - Blue Jays 2. Spring Training locations 1989: Mattingly - Yankees.....Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 1962-1995 East Coast of Florida McGriff - Blue Jays.....Dunedin, FL 1977- present Tampa area, West Coast of Florida 3. Driving Distance from Ft. Lauderdale to Dunedin, FL - 270 miles. So, why would Don Mattingly, a Yankee, drive 270 miles 1 way to take BP, with McGriff, a Blue Jay, alone together, at a High School?
his class mates have confirmed the machine story. and much of the van wilder story was confirmed. supposedly the bear video exists but i can't find it. He tells a slightly different version of The Machine story that goes into more detail with DJVlad (i think) that explains which parts are true and which are exaggerated, and what exactly happened.
@@jeccdog7584 Nah i had just watched a video somewhere where he was talking about this very topic. Because the writers who are making the movie The Machine needed to know what was real and what wasn't. The Machine story, and Val Wilder stories have both been confirmed to be mostly true. The funny thing is they won’t remember that specific time they were firing line drives at kids in the outfield because it wasn’t the only time.

It’s in the Golf Bible, Nicklaus 1-11…if you hit the range cart purposely or not, you will have 1 fewer Holes In One in your lifetime.
I missed the cart every time and I still haven’t had a hole in one. I call bs

Also highly possible they did. How many NFL QB and WR go to high school fields in the off season to run routes, etc.
I went to a high school in S. Florida and pro players would work out with us every year before they had to report to spring training....
professional players go to high school fields/courts all the time in the offseason buddy.
@@chrisbishop9308 Happens every year. Buffalo Bills players get together at my old high school and others to work out.
This is historic, a good Bert story.
The only way it could be better is if he was the guy getting hit in the head with the ball.

Sean Evans dad is Sammy Sosa

“It’s not a lie if you believe it.” Bert Kreischer probably.
He has shown actual pictures of him hanging with the russian gangsters. Not sure why you doubt him.
