I always find it interesting listening to how a blues guitarist works his way around in a non blues context. Usually it works just fine. The blues is the roots and the rest are the fruits!
Anson is a national treasure, my soul cries listening to his Stratocaster on this song, “ Albert King told me once if you ain’t got the blues you ain’t got a soul” and it doesn’t get better than Anson’s solo here. A true master of the Stratocaster.❤😊
I loved watching the appreciation that Eric showed Ansen the entire time that Ansen was laying out the genius riffs that flow so easily from his fingers. I’ve been following Ansen for over forty years now from The Rockets to the years with Sammy Meyers and now seeing him back up so many great players brings me great joy! Ansen is an all time favorite of mine…hope he lives another 50 years it will help make my life livable!
Heck ya, i personally think they compliment each other! I don't know Ansons' early work (Appologies) but those two together can make a career out of playing together!!!!!! - -KG - AKA LEFT EYE Gibby
Eric, The Prince of Forestville and The Natural Mystics with the master of the Stratocaster, Anson Funderberg, formerly Anson Funderburg, and the Rockets, RIP Sam Myers. What a wonderful pairing and a Happy Birthday to Eric. Two of the best on the road.
Eric is a good guy, always very approachable & friendly at his shows, I'm a fan of all of his music

Just discovered this. What a wonderful set captured on video. Anson is a national treasure.

Great tune Eric! See ya in NorCal! Miss the Rascal! ❤
Even earlier on before the Can't You See, I thought they sounded like the Marshall Tucker Band!
With a rasta beat.
Great music🤘
Best in the business 👩💼
Seen your shots too... looked great!👍
