Imagine, you send and your battalion drive to the enemy and a battalion of these smol tonks comes barreling out of the tree line.
(Flight of the valkyries starts playing)
Smol tanks were kind of a real concept for a while. A lot of countries produced tankettes (basically just anti tank guns but mobile and with a little armour) to combat early tanks while on a budget!
Look up Italian Tankettes from WW2, its incredible.
Barreling is like, the most accurate description you can give a charge led by these things, in fact, I declare that a group of Kevins should be refered to as a "Barrel"
War Thunder ASU-57 gameplay lol
I'd like to see your "ideal" tank. Something you think is aesthetically pleasing, and performs well enough for your desires. Make it as ugly or sleek or pudgy as you like.
Pudgy? Like Tommy McGuire’s plane?
You made a go-kart with an 80mm gun. It is a thing of art.
I think that IS122 crew may have died of dizziness!
IIRC there were a couple of people in the interwar period who proposed flooding the battlefield with "tankettes". This is... probably not what they had in mind. XD
That was hilarious, though. They're like ATVs but with treads and a BFG.
“C’mon men, DRIVE INTO PARIS!”
*sounds of multiple french tankettes zooming around*
“What the f-“
imagine how chaotic and insane it would be if literal thousands of tankettes were up against thousands of other tankettes, not to mention regular tanks on both sides with artillery raining down lol
In the settings you can turn off the weight limit to make them bigger
And space limitations
In my personal opinion, turning off limitations takes away from the part that requires ingenuity
I make the tank save it, and then remake it without limitations, then I improve the one with limitations to be better than the one that doesn't.
@@dutch24
I usually keep it on, tho if I get bored sometimes ill just turn it off and make a bigass tank
One thing I love about this game is they scale your team size based on the cost/weight of your tank design. This makes smaller tanks just as or more viable than large ones. I actually prefer to keep my designs a bit on the smaller side because no matter how big and tough you make a tank it’s tracks are still at risk of getting damaged and I find having to wait for the enemy to come to me.
I am really excited to see if they are able to get the multiplayer to work.
I just imagined the at gun crew as the two guys from tremors 2 where they keep aiming their guns higher and as you come to view have to drop them down to fire.
Why is it the smallest tanks are more successful then the biggest tanks in this game lol
One thing I really like about this game is that your team size scales based on cost/weight of your tank. So a small but well designed tank will do better because you get more of them.
square cube rule
@@Faravid829 swarm tactics
The AI has a fairly hard time targeting multiple tanks.
Imagine you were 1 F-16 and you were facing 40-50 Fokker Dr. 1’s.
Thats a lot of people for your IFF to target, track, and accommodate for.
Sure, they may be slow, small, and weak.. but they’re *slow* meaning you can easily overshoot, they’re *small* meaning they’re incredibly hard to track, and they may be weak, but they’re extremely numerous. They may not win by shooting down your F-16, but they will win by forcing you to either return home due to not having enough fuel, running out of ammo, or if they’re piloted by very smart people, and you get a bit cocky, they can force you to slam into the ground if you go for a pass on one.
@@SquooshyCatboy : So.....an extremely developed AI using swarm tactics and disposable units could overrun a modern army with top notch tech?
This is the most adorable and yet most terrifying thing I have seen in my life
I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
Man at the end just decided "fuck it, I don't want to sit here forever, I surrender"
Can you make a 1 crew tank that is at least twice the size of a king tiger?
Thats no longer a tank, thats a moving barracks.
"looks like ass, seems OP in testing, probably costs a ton. We will take 5,000 of them to be delivered somewhere around 3035." -General Dynamics
going to say this, this "theory" was put into practice by the french... and no i'm not talking about the amx-13 thats "big" oh no, the french went small once. in something called the Engin Léger de Combat, or ELC. the tank was armed with a 90mm D.915 cannon with 53 shells, and 7.5mm coax. It came in at 9 tons. was 5m long including gun overhang, 4.2m long body. And a hight of 1.7m or 5'5"
On the flip side, Germany recently have gotten SMOL. with their Weasel tank. is gun is... umm... well yo choose, a 20mm,30mm TOW Missile launcher, HOT missile launcher, 120mm mortar. Coming in at 4.8 tons, 6' wide, and 7'1" tall, and 15'8 long, this means it will fit into a standard "parking spot" or most home garages. Yes, these would be terrifying because they could be hidden in urban settings easily.
Imagine driving by someones garage, and it opens up to reveal a fucking TOW launcher or a HOT launcher on tracks.
I would shit myself if I ever came across that
@@SquooshyCatboy Oh, this gets even MORE insane... these vehicles are made to be air mobile. Now, this isn't something silly like the US "air transporterable" or slug under a helicopter, OH NO. these things fit INSIDE helicopters. A single CH-53 Sea Stallion can carry 2 of these things.
the helicopter lands drops the back ramp, and these things drive off.
Now think of the implications here. 1x radar vehicles, 2 x Air to air missile, 1x 20mm multi-purpose cannon deposited on a hill somewhere. or 2x tow 2 by 30mm cannon. 3x 120mm morter + 1x command and control. deposeted anywhere, top floor of a parkign garage, where they can then drive down and hide inside. school field, where they then run into the subberbs to hide... the ability to have AA, morter crews, medium range anti-tank support, APC's anywhere you need them (apc version carries 4 infantry each... but still, 8 fully geared infrantry +2 machine gun equipeed APCs driving out of the back of a helicopter anywhere?

“Shit, we got a MiG on us!”
*”Open the doors.”*
“W-What?”
*”Open them.”*
*MiG pilot POV:*
“C’mon Ivan, you have to shoot this damn helicopter down… Wait, whats that?”
*Sounds of 20mm shells shredding a MiG like paper*
@@SquooshyCatboy Rheinmetall Mk 20 Rh-202 20mm Length 2612 mm, thats an 8.5' long gun, firing at 1000 rounds per min/ out to 2 miles at 3700 feet per second. seriously the barrel alone on that is 6.5 feet. LOL.
"They're in the buildings, THEY'RE IN THE GODDAMN BUILDINGS!"
8:55 in case you still haven't caught it you were rammed by a friendly tank there, killing you and the tank that rammed you. The tank you were swapped into was then immediately shot by an enemy. Hope that clears up any confusion.
Can you make a goliath) basically a tank that drives under the enemy and shoots upward?
I wished it would explode..
@@Genuinespaceman that's not something you can do sadly, but a 250mm gun that has no lenght just shooting straight upwards sounds good too
Wait, what if you shoot your own fuel barrels? Does that ignite them and cause damage? Because I know on the test map when I’ve driven into the canisters I’ve sometimes died.
During the creation of these tanks, two crew members are selected. They will be placed into this tank like any other component. They are sealed inside as the armor is welded around them, the driver straddles the engine, and the gunner has the gun recoil into his stomach. The crew compartment is flooded with 100 liters of diesel, only the turret is empty, for sake of loading the gun.
After the battle, welders have to cut the crew out of the tank, and new crew is selected for the next battle, for this tank is a black widow, and she doesn’t let her crew leave alive.
Why does that sound like something the Imperium of Man would do?
This feels like how we used fireflies to our manuever panzers and tigers but... Somehow more insane. And insanely effective.
Noice I love it great idea and design your fun!!! Can you make a fast reload small tanks with small armor. Or every as minimum as much as possible
The most successful we've ever been with any tank design
Kevin 2: Hold my beer
5:29 This scene right here made my buy sprocket.
Edit: One hour later after I bought and played sprocket to try and somehow make my tank go over 5mph, I have discovered that doing this is no longer possible due to them changing the mission’s era to stuff like Early war and Mid war which means your tank will be significantly worse in every way possible and my 80mph+ tank went 10mph. All I wanted to do was to have some fun running rings around those mid war heavies but no, -70mph from my tank. I can’t even use my tank at all because it is no match to conventional MBTs that your forced to fight in Late war game mode.
Panzer paws: I need a new name for the small tank
Tank while watching sims videos: Callmekevin
You've now got me wanted to redownload Sprocket and create tanks.
11:35 biggest tragedy on a battlefield
So, he made a small, light, fast tank with a flat turret and an 85mm gun.
Did you just redesign the Bat.-Chat. 25t?
I had given up on Taiga map until I went all out and designed the "Raton" , a 100 ton behemoth with 200+ mm of effective armor on every single plate, even the back of the turret. Basically a moving pyramid so the extreme angles made all the armor have that effectiveness.
I dived to the middle of the map and watched AI shoot me from every angle to no effect.
Please, please share this design online so we can continue Kevin’s great work
The only tank that is powered by a lawnmower engine XD
Also absolutely love "Kevin-11"
If I'm not wrong the Soviet Era ASU-57 is the smallest tank with the M22 Locus tank. btw both are Airdrop tanks.
L3/33 is smaller
I love the name of your small tank! The Kevin will rule!
Feels like I'm watching 86 with all those fast-moving mini-tanks
I'd love to see you recreate some of the Warhammer 40k tanks in this game watching a leman Russ squad would be fun
The IS-122 died of starvation lol
I would recommend you try to add 5-10 present battel length giving more muzzle velocity allowing for more more penetration and bring aphe (armor penetrating high explosive) and pure ap (armor penetrating) rounds to battle good luck
15:40 The tree took it out 😂😂
This is the most successful tank I have ever seen in Sprocket...and yes that tank was actually big af
"Kevin 6 going small"
Great vid! Happy Veteran's Day!
That white TD you saw in the snow mission looks like a Adler E-08
HEY, ITS AT LEAST AVRAGE SIZED
Last guy died because his hand literally dissolved from cranking the turret around.
This is ideal tank design, light and fast, decently armored, and a big enough gun to defeat anything on the battlefield
The military should hire you to design tanks
Add rocket launchers and they would be better than the leopard XD
128 Days i bet that That tank crew died if exhaustion and sheer embarrassment btw loving you videos you are really funny just found you channel today keep up the good work and thank you for your service ❤❤
You made a Waffenträger Wiesel and put a 90mm cannon on top and I can't decide if that's genius or deranged.
I created a 18 ton tank with a 37mm gun that was somehow able to kill a King Tiger.
“Ready boys? The enemy is almost here. We’re gonna ambush when they get here.”
“….”
*crickets…*
*sound of 20-30 90mm shells flying into enemy tanks all at once*
“Huh? Where did they come from??”
“…. Sir, we thought they were cars, not tanks…”
Kevin is a good guy, Kevin looks cute, Kevin is sped
This is the best tank ever, i think you found the actual tank meta xD
It’s like some batshit crazy engineer strapped an 85 on a Wiesel 😂
Also I just found your channel I subbed!
*Clears throat*
Rheinmetall.
It's like the French new what they did when they designed the AMX ELC. The difference was though that ELC engineers went for a flatter design.... Kevin is more of a squishy type.
U should make the L3/33 Its just as small but with a smaller canon
Looks like an RC tank battle
There is no way you can squeeze four guys in there, let alone a big gun as well. A tank this size would be armed with a 30mm.
15:50 he died of boredom XD
Your tanks look like insects running everywhere from afar
I’d love to see your review/reaction of the Metal Slug games’ tank.
LIGHT TANK FOR THE WIN
Here we see PanzerPaw playing his favorite tank form the french tech tree
Should call this the Piranha class tank
Sir, that's not a tank.
That's a tonk.
The last Kevin tank: time to be Fury. Eheheheh
It looks like the last tank died because you made a tree fall on it
You can't stop the ZOOM!
Bayyyybeeeee TANK dododododododo, baby TANK dododododododo baby TANK.
For armor vales you can type in up to 500mm
4 People can somehow fit inside that thing
Maybe it has a crew-shaped space there :D
I have noticed that the space requirements are a little low for some things, but that could get very complicated when trying to accurately estimate the amount of space you need for the internal components and crew of a tank.
This weighs less than a t-rex
I Will design a super small tank nicknamed ”näbbmusen” its swedish i got inspired by this tank so Thanks for that!💀🗿
Hell yeah, new Sprocket video!
Ambush is easily doable with a 2 ton tanks.
This tank looks pretty similar to the german Viesel if it had a canon and a turret
I think you just created the SP I C
Bro if this were to be seen in a war all people that see this vid know who would win
a childsized man has to go into this... someone with dwarfism?
I have a question for you. What were you in your leopard 2? Gunner, commander etc.
"I'm fast as f*ck boiii!"
So its the tank from advance wars.
Its basically germanys prototype spahpanzer
15:40 it died from the tree.
Basecly u made "panzer 3"
Great Vid. And i like your tank
This looks a lot like an SP1C actually
Solution to the smallest tank: build something similar to the l3 or asu57
The IS might have run out of fuel
Yessss finally....
the Tink
SP1C (german light tank) sprocket edition
That design look like its belong in Warhammer 40k universe
Average French pre-war tanks:
There's a kid named Kevin in my school... and he's the shortest in 8th grade.
Perhaps a lighter high-velocity cannon would compliment the design well
wiesel but with AT gun strapped onto it
Actually I think those tanks can be useful in real battlefield lmao, like it's fast and small so it's harder to hit/notice and it's good for scout missions + because of size they should be cheap
It could genuinely work as a drone tank, I think. Although, the real issues with its size would be lack of ammo capacity and armour. But who knows? maybe in the future, it might be possible.
@@PanzerPaw yeah, but I also think for tanks with slow turret rotation speed it's almost impossible to hit that fast tank
Merica: we need small tank
What are the measurements and how do I make it
Think the Is thing ran out of Fuel that wil earn you a win
how I feel playing the AML-90 in War Thunder
This is what happens when you cross a weasel with a ww2 tank
The EBR!
