I use to buy canned chicken. But it cost more per pound than raw boneless chicken. So now I either roast or poach the chicken for chicken salad. Saving money is a good thing.
Here in spain the canned chicken is expensive per kg.

The lactaid milk cottage was on the top shelf above the daisy cottage cheese.
The milk in the boxes (tetra briks) is the only type milk we can get in the EU. It is shelf stable (UHT, ultra high temps) for 6 to 9 months, often! We can't get milk any other way. Maybe that's a good thing!
There is also fresh milk in the fridge. But 90%are the shelf stable ones.
@@silviamagda Once opened you do need to keep the shelf-stable ones in the fridge as well. Opened it is a matter of weeks. But unopened, many a month (they don't even need to be in the fridge).

I love to have the can chicken on hand! It makes really good chicken salad. I just learned a new recipe with it...chicken fritters... can chicken, 1/2 cup parm cheese, 1 egg, spice it with what you like, mix well and fry in a little oil. Delicious! (Low carb for us...but still delicious!).

You looking at chicken strips, I know you can get those at the discount store you've gotten them there before and you guys have like them. Just a tip. The lactose free milk lasts for a long, long time without going sour after it is opened. Not like regular milk .
Walmart has a larger box of baking soda in the laundry detergent aisle!! Glad ya'll had a fun time and a reset.
There is some bargains there. In the UK 1/2 lb of unsalted butter ranges from £1.99 upwards, so you got a bargain there. A bag of grated cheese in a shops cheapest brand is £5.50.

Fairlife is also a lactose free milk. It tastes almost exactly like regular milk. It comes in 2%, whole, and chocolate. They also make ice cream. Haven’t found the ice cream in my small town yet…have no idea if it’s good.
I love grocery shopping but I hate unloading and putting it away lol because I like to wash and put my veggies in containers ready to use plus I chop a lot of onions, celery and carrots and freeze them so they’re ready for cooking in my soups chillies and spaghetti sauce. I love watching you do big food shopping because I’m blown away by the quantity you get for your large family compared to my little hauls for one lol. I enjoy your channel so much so thanks for the motivation!

One of my kids was sensitive or allergic to milk. I learned chicken mcnuggets had milk in the breading the hard way...lol. anyway the doctor told us to use the lactaid enzyme you buy at the store. Take it for one year and then check and see if this has stimulated their body to begin making the enzyme. For our son it worked wonderfully. The little pill had a sweet taste and he could eat anything. Just thought I'd share.
I don’t remember if I heard it from you Amy because I think it’s something you would do so apologies if it is. Anyway if you’re out for the day instead of taking sandwiches put some hotdogs in a thermos with some hot water, take some hotdog buns and then when you’re ready to eat just drain the hotdogs off and Bon appetite a semi hot meal to get the kids through another few hours xx
Don’t forget to make bone broth out of the bones of that rotisserie chicken. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Do it right in the instant pot with ACV, salt,pepper, some of that curry powder you bought for about an hour. 🎉

I’m lactose intolerant and I can tell you A2 milk is hard to find, but it doesn’t make me sick or make my stomach swell at all.
Did you ever consider shopping at a restaurant supply store like Gordon Foods Service or whatever serves your area? GFS is open to the public.
I love these type stores and saves me money.

Great haul. I do a once a month stock up. Then fill in weekly with parshables. I have a suggestion. Our dollar general carries big box of baking powder. That's were I get mine. Lol.
Whew! Your pantry will be nice and full again! In my stores, some will mix lactose free items in with regular. Others have them separate. You just never know. Also, one of our stores has a lactose free cottage cheese that is “store brand”. Good luck! Keep looking! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

If you don’t see something at Ingles just go to the front and ask them to order it so that they have it in stock for you next time you shop. I’m sure you are not the only one looking for lactose free cottage cheese.
That powdered cheese is basically “ kraft dinner cheese powder “. I’ve been buying mine at the bulk food store for years. Then you use regular macaroni. My kids liked it better. They’d even sprinkle it on spaghetti etc.
I’m not sure if you have bulk bin stores there but we do here in Canada.

Amy- The fire grilled chicken breasts you got at Sam's, those are SO good! Our store hasn't had them in awhile, but I stock up when I can find them. They store in the fridge or freezer for a good while. I use them on salads, in wraps, in pasta. Very tasty.

Hi Amy! Next time you go to the stores find Fairlife Milk. It’s lactose free and tastes exactly like regular milk! That’s what my daughter (7) and I use because we can’t drink regular milk. It’s worth the price. Your dairy free kids will love it 💜

If you wrap your head lettuce in a wet dish towel and put in refrigerator dampen the towel every few days it will stay fresh for a couple of weeks❤

The fajitas chicken is great for pot pies and quesadillas.
I have a dessert recipe. It was my great grandmothers she lived to be104 so I got to spend a lot of time with her.
But you made me think of it when you were talking about cottage cheese .This a great recipe if your family loves cottage cheese.
One container of 4%cottage cheese
One container of Cool Whip .
One package of lime jellow.
That’s it ..then she wouldn’t garnish with mandarin oranges .
So easy and so good.
Let’s sit in the refrigerator for a few hours before eating .

I live in the Asheville area and lactose free myself ingles does have a great selection. One of my favorites is the dairy free cream cheese it’s called Violife so good. Also Whole Foods has a great selection and they have dairy free cottage cheese they make a lot of fresh baked good that are dairy free donuts, cookies must tries!!!!

The broth base powder you go from Wal-Mart has dairy in it. Not sure if you knew that. But maybe your kiddos can handle that amount.
Also, Wal-Mart has a small "bulk size" items section that may have your big baking soda you were looking for.
