They could have won the UCL too had they have a better match-up. The semi finals was all-spain vs all-german. @@jean-paulwalters8408 he wanted to sign another defender, deal just ddnt go through, but I think they can still do it with Sanchez and dier I know they haven't kept clean sheet, they must improve on set pieces and they will be fine, let's see how it goes looks promising
Sadly this tactic will be hard to replicate since pure number 10's like Ozil can't find a place in the modern intense pressing game. But I think the modern incarnation of it will involve Kane more in transition, unleashing Bale, Son, or other hard working wingers on the counter. It might just work. Kane himself said in a FIFA video that he has been working on his passing lol.
This is why his tactic did not work at Manchester United, because the players he had were not willing to be versatile or robust enough to make the tactic work
@@jean-paulwalters8408 yes thats indirectly what I was saying. Plus also in the midfield Pogba wasn't really willing to work hard or be versatile at all.
@@blink4122 I agree. I actually believe Man Utd will be a better player without Pogba. There is a reason why Sir Alex said he wasn't ready. He is not tactically disciplined
This video makes me learn that 4-2-3-1 is such a versatile and great formation. It can be used for tiki-taka, counterattack, gegenpressing, and park the bus. Also, even 4-2-3-1 double false 9 is possible with both the attacking midfielder and striker dropping deep leaving the wingers to exploit space in front. 4-2-3-1 false 9 with the striker dropping deep also works.
Current spurs squad were similiar with mourinho's 2011/2012 real madrid, they had son, bale, kane,, ozil=lo celso, khedira+alonso=hojbjerg+ndombele/winks, marcelo=reguilon
He applied 4231 in Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man Utd. It worked for both Real Madrid and Chelsea (of course it was far more effective in Madrid), but not working in Man Utd. People say his tactic is outdated and he did not set the tactics with the Man Utd way (I don't really get the real definition of Man Utd way tho), but from what i see, the Man Utd players were simply lack of commitment and tactical intelligence (except some players like Ibra, Mctominay, Herrera and Valencia) compare to Real Madrid's and Chelsea's players.... They refused to play out of position for tactical purposes, refuse to track back, and when played in favourite position, they also offered almost nothing..
There are many videos of this Real Madrid team's fast counter-attack. It simply is the best I have ever seen. Then the best and intelligent park the bus I've seen, is Inter against Barca 2010. I had never seen something like it at that point, and it just shows how unconventional Mouriho is. Thinks outside the box, and ready to do what is necessary to win.
In the few games spurs have played this season, there's slight similarities to this kind of football. With Bale joining the team, we might see full 11-12 tactics from Jose. Spurs fans should be very excited right now.
This team I felt was more lethal than 16/17 bcoz by 16/17 Ronaldo had adapted his game to prolong his career as he aged but 11/12 Ronaldo in this team was a demon of a footballer
If only Kaka and Cristiano took those penalty kicks better on that day against Bayern Munchen, they would have gone to the final and faced a decent Chelsea side that overplayed it's park the bus tactics. Real Madrid would have won against that Chelsea side because they would have forced them to come out playing and Real were much more lethal on the counter than Chelsea who were literally defending with every man and countering. Jose would have definitely left Real right after that season however and la Decima would have been achieved in a different manner. Would that Real Madrid team managed to win the successive Champions League again like they did with Ancelotti and Zidane? Probably not.
With that squad, nah, Bale barely reliable, Vinicius, is he good enough to back up a injury prone Kane? Lucas, hasn't pulled up trees since Ajax 2 years ago, still a poor defence
@@jean-paulwalters8408 but they Ndombele is back and Lo Celso will have had a season to settle. So it's a completely different team than what it was last year.
As a Barça fan, I'd love to see Madrid get back to its past glory and challenge us to the core...we've stagnated for years and need a whoop on the arse. (I know we got that from Bayern, but hey, we don't talk about that here :P)
Well tbh barca aint doing that good anymore too, both teams kinda faded slowly which is a shame. You always had PL with its nerve wrecking seasons, germans with their strict and efficent plays and all that but no club anywhere else in the world hasnt gotten even close to something like these 2 clubs have done. I would rather watch these 2 clubs playing that beautiful football they once played than this shit we have now. All respect to Bayerns domination lately and all that but come on.. Liverpool and Bayern will never be Real Madrid and Barcelona, these 2 clubs have a history that no other has
@@Ghost-yc7eq yes man, it is really annoying to see these shit Epl clubs and bayern winning the champions league and people start to compare them with the giants clubs that the game has ever seen
this is jose best creation he built a team thats feared for years and he left a squad that other managers inherited and used to shine but it all was Jose work from subs to main squad to new roles for players new spirit in Madrid was created
He produced the fastest team in Europe in counter attacking football whilst also pressing to dominate possession shifting between the two tactics. Dominate a shaky opponent or offer the ground to a challenging team to sting them on counters. His problem was that he was too volatile and that impacted the squad due to recurrent dramas.
Mourinho’s RM was the unluckiest team ever He led Real Madrid to their first CL semi final in 8 years and lost to THAT Barca team After that he won laliga with a 100 point record and lost in the semifinals by a penalty shootout vs Bayern after a heroic performance. The 3rd top scorer of the team had 21 goals just shows you how strong that team was 2012/13 lost again in the semifinals and needed just one goal to make a legendary comeback and reach the final
Yes the best jose mouriniho team This season made me fall in love with real Madrid and Ronaldo I watched every game of this season It was the best ever... Very unlucky to loose on penalties to bayern
Every true fan of Real Madrid and Mou know that this season started when he won la Copa Del Rey the year before. After receiving la manita, winning la Copa against Barcelona gave the whole team an additional boost in confidence to come back the following year and dominate. And dominate they did.
Ozi to ronaldo was telepathic. Guaranteed goal everytime sometimes ozil wouldnt even have to look. Def hurt seeing ozil and di maria go i wish wed still have them in the team
Tottenham Hotspur looks like Real Madrid under Mourinho nowadays. Son + Kane is more like Ronaldo + Benzema and they scored 5+ goals in 3 games this season.
Agreed. But tactically, right now Mourinho used 4-3-3 (just like real madrid chapter one with diarra) without the playmaker or the number 10. So, I think this is more defensive playstyle but deadly counter attack.
very nice video, nearly perfect I would say. the only thing that is missing imo is the contributions of Kaka as he still played quite a lot that season instead of Di Maria, in which case Özil would play on the right. was curious how the system worked in that instance
Though Mourinho didn't win the Champions League with Real Madrid, I think he has a lot of credit with Real Madrid success, he built a competitive team and the only thing Ancelotti had to do was to win the Champions, I would have liked Mourinho won a Champions because he had a great team to do so.
Unfortunately, Mourinho did not win the UCL with his two best teams. Real Madrid 2011/12 season (Always unlucky with penalty shoot-outs). Probably the best or joint best La Liga team. Chelsea 2004/05 season (Ghost goal). Still painful, as Mourinho would have probably achieved something spectacular by winning the UCL with FC Porto in 04, and Chelsea in 05.
Although we all can have mixed opinions on Jose but he is winner and he does things his way that Madrid team was one of my favourite and I am not even a Madrid fan
I could see Jose is building his RM v2.0 in Spurs this season & in the next 2 or 3 years (if he still stays). GK: Lloris ==> Casillas RB: Doherty (or Aurier) ==> Arbelo LB: Reguilon (or Davis) ==> Marcelo CB: Sanchez+Dier ==> Ramos + Pepe Holding/Defensive Midfield: Hojberg/Winks/Sissoko ==> Alonso/Khedira Attacking Midfield: Ndombele/Lo Celso/Alli/Lamela) ==> Ozil/Kaka LW: Son(aldo) (Or Bergwijn) ==> C. Ronaldo RW: Bale (or Moura or Lamela) ==> Di Maria Foward: Harry Kane/Vinicius ==> Benzema/Higuain Can they win over rather settled Defending Champion of Liverpool of Klopp? Can they win over the rather settled/semi-old team of Man. City of Guardiola? Can they win over the rather new/unsettled team of Chelsea of Lampard? They may have a chance, I would say 70-80%, if ALL players stick to Jose's tactics & strategy and get boosted by confidence & mentality. Of course it also come down to some very small details & luck sometimes (VAR again...???!!!) lol But one thing I'm pretty sure is: When the day Jose left Man.U nearly 2 years ago, I could guarantee (over 95%) you that Jose will WIN the next trophy (wherever he goes) before Man. U could. So GOOD LUCK JOSE!!! GOOD LUCK SPURS!!!
I remember Alonso in this team being absolutely superb. He would ping the kind of balls that maybe only 3 other players in the world could play, a true orchestrator.
Mourinho's Madrid was the team that was potentially one of the fastest teams to do counter attacks or to correctly put even take the ball from defence to attack line. I am Barca fan, and he built this team during Guardiola's time in Barca. So I must say it is highly commendable.
This was the fastest counter attacking team i have ever seen with cr7 in his primordial best .. 2012 was such a great year for us madridistas that we won the league with highest number of goals that not even pep's barca or msn could score. When we lost the shootout i knew it was over for mou in madrid. The players were hell bent that season on winning the treble that season and after that defeat against bayern everyone felt a let down. The atletico team was emerging and barca took the title next season . He also lost the players after casillas incident. But he brought us back to the map of europe and laid the foundation of the la decima team that won 2 years later and anyone who is a true madridista will forever be indebted to him.
Could a video bout how modern football changed that u don't need to be a striker in order to be the main goalscorer but a Wide Forward starting from the wing and drating into the halfspace using there incredible pace left between the Fullback and Central Defender players like Cr7 Bale Salah Mane Mbappe Werner Aubameyang etc
We ought to forget that this team scored 96,92,100 points in its three seasons ...nd outplayed barca in the cdr final ..... surely this team was something ...but we also can't deny the toxic atmosphere created by this team in Clasicos
Bob P højbjerg has been class. Agree on the CB tho but it looks like we’ll b going back in January for Skriniar with Inter already looking for a backup
This team is my most favourite Madrid team ever. Don't forget that season Kaka had the best season in Madrid shirt (other than his first season) scored 5 and assisted 10 in his limited game time. The only changes i would like is to slot in Kaka with Ozil behind Ronaldo and Benzema/Higuain, but Mou reluctantly used this only used this system occasionally. 4-2-2-2 with Kaka and Ozil behind Ronaldo, Khedira and Alonso protecting, with Arbeloa helping. I remember that season Ozil even said that he would like Kaka to start more because they form a great partnership in training.
Is this Jose's best team? What are your favourite memories of this side?

@@firmanimad I'm optimistic it can work remember they also have lo celso and ndombele who can orchestrate those passes
Mourinho assembled the best counter attacking team ever🙌🏽. Real Madrid from 2010-2013 were absolutely unreal🙌🏽
This is why his tactic did not work at Manchester United, because the players he had were not willing to be versatile or robust enough to make the tactic work
Or just didn't have the players to perform the tactics he did at Real Madrid, no good ball-playing CB, to start the counter-attacks
@@jean-paulwalters8408 yes thats indirectly what I was saying. Plus also in the midfield Pogba wasn't really willing to work hard or be versatile at all.
@@tashrif46 Pogba is a luxury player, and frankly he's not good enough to be so in a team as deficient at United.
@@blink4122 I agree. I actually believe Man Utd will be a better player without Pogba. There is a reason why Sir Alex said he wasn't ready. He is not tactically disciplined
It's all because pogba piggy virus ed woodward is suck
Bale isn't as good as before 18/19 season
Xabi Alonso was absolutely key to Madrid in this squad. His ability to read matches and long range passes were a sight to see! Great video!
Mourinho had the most efficient Real Madrid squad in the past three decades. The proof? 100 points in La liga! No other manager has managed that!
This team I felt was more lethal than 16/17 bcoz by 16/17 Ronaldo had adapted his game to prolong his career as he aged but 11/12 Ronaldo in this team was a demon of a footballer
This man has his own following.
07:00 didn't think Corzola was a from range player
Ronaldo's penalty was decent, 7/10 effort. Good width and bounce.
Neuer just made an incredible save.
The Spain one was my request,Thank You mate ❤️
Release it as soon as possible
Bro..check this also... Griezmann : A falling star who can be saved..

Man,Lassana Diarra was such a great defensive midfielder! I don't understand why he was so underestimated. Amazing player!
With Mourinho at Tottenham, they are already Champions in waiting.
With that squad, nah, Bale barely reliable, Vinicius, is he good enough to back up a injury prone Kane? Lucas, hasn't pulled up trees since Ajax 2 years ago, still a poor defence
In that case then we’ll have to leave the case to our very able Football Made Simple to think it out
@@jean-paulwalters8408 but they Ndombele is back and Lo Celso will have had a season to settle. So it's a completely different team than what it was last year.
Mark my words 20/21 premier league champions are Tottenham

Generally I love Counter attacks ... I fell in love with this team because of José's AMAZING AND FASTEST counter attacks
Definitely his best team by far 💪 I loved this Madrid ♥️🔥♥️
His time at madrid was Very underappreciated ..
Thank you for this video. Jose's Madrid was once my favourite team to watch
The tactic that disproved that Mourinho is just a park the bus coach.
😂😂..bhaijan....Griezmann : A falling star who can be saved..

I searched everywhere for this tactics bur never found it, thanks!
A vitória (1x2) no Camp Nou, foi épica! Mourinho montou uma estratégia, que anulou o Messi.
Essa partida foi incrível, ele não só anulou o Messi como xavi e iniesta não conseguiram jogar
other than the tactics...this team was the most passionate team I've ever seen
One of your best videos so far! very profound and clear. Thank you very much
It was such an exciting team to watch.
All REAL real madrid fans would love to see our team be that great once again
I'm missing that real Madrid for years. The best madrid I've ever watched. Hope jose comes back whenever time. We need a manager like jose nowadays
this is jose best creation he built a team thats feared for years and he left a squad that other managers inherited and used to shine but it all was Jose work from subs to main squad to new roles for players new spirit in Madrid was created
Finally man, I've been waiting this video since the big bang 😂
thank you🌹
finally!! was waiting for this for long time
Superb analysis, thank you.
Mourinho’s RM was the unluckiest team ever
He led Real Madrid to their first CL semi final in 8 years and lost to THAT Barca team
After that he won laliga with a 100 point record and lost in the semifinals by a penalty shootout vs Bayern after a heroic performance. The 3rd top scorer of the team had 21 goals just shows you how strong that team was
2012/13 lost again in the semifinals and needed just one goal to make a legendary comeback and reach the final
Am a simple man . I see a Mourinho thumbnail i click on it like the vid and comment befor watching
Yes the best jose mouriniho team
This season made me fall in love with real Madrid and Ronaldo
I watched every game of this season
It was the best ever...
07:48 show one for spurs
Agreed.
But tactically, right now Mourinho used 4-3-3 (just like real madrid chapter one with diarra) without the playmaker or the number 10. So, I think this is more defensive playstyle but deadly counter attack.
Really like your videos. Hope you will continue producing more like this
very nice video, nearly perfect I would say. the only thing that is missing imo is the contributions of Kaka as he still played quite a lot that season instead of Di Maria, in which case Özil would play on the right. was curious how the system worked in that instance
Bayern Munich tactical with Jupp Heynckes nostalgia
As a Barça Supporter it was the best counterattack teams ever. Every player was extremely good.
this team is tactically better than the 16' - '18 season madrid and more consistent
as a barca fan I consider this to be the best madrid team I have ever seen their most complete package for sure
The counter attacks by this Madrid team were just unstoppable 🔥
Hala Madrid ❤️
They should make a documentary about this team ......pure madness this season was. 50 and 46 goals score by Messi and Ronaldo respectively!!
Although we all can have mixed opinions on Jose but he is winner and he does things his way that Madrid team was one of my favourite and I am not even a Madrid fan
I could see Jose is building his RM v2.0 in Spurs this season & in the next 2 or 3 years (if he still stays).
GK: Lloris ==> Casillas
RB: Doherty (or Aurier) ==> Arbelo
LB: Reguilon (or Davis) ==> Marcelo
CB: Sanchez+Dier ==> Ramos + Pepe
Holding/Defensive Midfield: Hojberg/Winks/Sissoko ==> Alonso/Khedira
Attacking Midfield: Ndombele/Lo Celso/Alli/Lamela) ==> Ozil/Kaka
LW: Son(aldo) (Or Bergwijn) ==> C. Ronaldo
RW: Bale (or Moura or Lamela) ==> Di Maria
Foward: Harry Kane/Vinicius ==> Benzema/Higuain
Can they win over rather settled Defending Champion of Liverpool of Klopp?
Can they win over the rather settled/semi-old team of Man. City of Guardiola?
Can they win over the rather new/unsettled team of Chelsea of Lampard?
They may have a chance, I would say 70-80%, if ALL players stick to Jose's tactics & strategy and get boosted by confidence & mentality. Of course it also come down to some very small details & luck sometimes (VAR again...???!!!) lol
But one thing I'm pretty sure is:
When the day Jose left Man.U nearly 2 years ago, I could guarantee (over 95%) you that Jose will WIN the next trophy (wherever he goes) before Man. U could.
So GOOD LUCK JOSE!!! GOOD LUCK SPURS!!!
Good analysis ,plus i subbed and hit the bell good work keep it up.
I remember Alonso in this team being absolutely superb. He would ping the kind of balls that maybe only 3 other players in the world could play, a true orchestrator.
jose is my favourite person in football and he built the base for the team that would dominate europe
Mourinho's Madrid was the team that was potentially one of the fastest teams to do counter attacks or to correctly put even take the ball from defence to attack line. I am Barca fan, and he built this team during Guardiola's time in Barca. So I must say it is highly commendable.
Finally thank you mate love you
Great anyalize, very detailed.
This is class man👍🏾
Could a video bout how modern football changed that u don't need to be a striker in order to be the main goalscorer but a Wide Forward starting from the wing and drating into the halfspace using there incredible pace left between the Fullback and Central Defender players like Cr7 Bale Salah Mane Mbappe Werner Aubameyang etc
Inverted winger. Great idea.
Great analysis 👏🏼
Lightning fast counter attacks⚡
1 end to the other in the blink of an eye💥
Opponents were afraid to take corners😎
We ought to forget that this team scored 96,92,100 points in its three seasons ...nd outplayed barca in the cdr final ..... surely this team was something ...but we also can't deny the toxic atmosphere created by this team in Clasicos
Nice video 👏👏👏
Love your videos
Do a prediction video with a overview and reason for each team
That was the best real Madrid ever and the most entertaining
Great video. If Spurs had one more class CD and CDM then our best team would be close to this Madrid side. Maybe not as good, but close.
Kaka was injury prone
@@Timbone07 he was fit that season. He played 27 times in La Liga.
@@billyferaldy Check his injury history that season. He said it himself. I watched the interview.
@@Timbone07 no he wasn't. I remember it clearly, I watched almost every game. You go check it at transfermarkt. He was injury free that 11/12 season.
