God just the simple fact that JS said 'son' instead of 'self' cut to the core for me, mainly because the inspiration for the song being their mother, but jesus fuck this whole song hurts me.
This might be weird but the bad quality and the weird regular droning sounds coming from it add something to the song, I dunno. Makes it sound spookier or more uneasy I guess.
i saw them the following month of this tour in asheville (for some reason, jaime had a flesh-colored eyepatch over one eye).... this was my fav song of the set. knife play forever....
