  • **We will be doing "Attitude of Gratitude" every other Wednesdays.
Upon request of my hubby( Boyce) we will be doing
Barbacoa De Lengua tacos. Hope you all enjoy this dish, my hubby(Boyce) was very hesitant at 1st but the way I cooked it up for him, he quickly changed his mind.
    Ingredients
    1 beef tongue
1 onion, skin removed and halved
    2 garlic cloves
    1 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    2 bay leaf
Warm flour tortillas or corn tortillas, chopped fresh cilantro, and lime or lemon wedges, for serving
    Instructions
Thoroughly rinse the beef tongue and place it in a slow cooker with the onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and bay leaf. Add enough water to cover lengua. Cook on low for 8 hours, or until the meat is tender when pierced with a knife. Carefully remove the meat from the slow cooker. With a paring knife, remove and discard the skin and cut the meat into small dice. Return the meat to the slow cooker and reduce the setting to warm. Serve warm with the tortillas, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes and lime or lemon wedges.

Runneth Over Garden&Life they use regular shredded beef and it’s covered in a red sauce with potatoes and vegetables.... I’m used to beef cheek for barbacoa that’s kind of fatty and greasy lol

BARBACOA ❤❤❤❤ sometimes its face meat in general which that's how I've eaten it when I lived in Texas. I'm not into tongue but my grandma who raised me is English she likes beef tongue anyway. You know I probably would like beef tongue if I tried it like this.
I make a version with beef in general from Spicy Latina Mama and another. I dont use 5 bay leaves like she did I use 2. Kiddo loves it. I just get whatever beef is on sale for that though. Crockpot is for sure the best way makes it so tender. I've tried in the oven like SLM did in her video but no where near as soft to shred as the crockpot.

Yep, this is just a way to make a quick easy meal. Something different, I haven't heard too much about ppl eating beef tongue so I thought I would put it out there. May not be everyone's thing, but then you got some ppl that are foodies. I haven't had venison in some time now, and my crockpot is a must in the kitchen. Anywhos, thanks for watching. Hope you are doing well. Hugs😊💗

@@RootedInTx doing alright now. Just caught up with a bunch of errands for mom. Shes still sick it seems when kids give ya a cold or flu it hits the elderly even worse. Things should calm down by Monday. I havent even had time to mess with my editor thing much. About to go grocery shopping too. Sunday I have a long (so much more driving than I'm use to) drive to the portland area in Maine. Picking up the rabbits. The tri lop girl was sold 😥 but the sable lop is still available. Shes throwing in a lop buck.... Wasnt the plan (since bucks wont get along even with a bunch of space unless they grow up together or they are fixed) but I'm sure we can figure a spot for him or find him a pet home around here. The booted tri mini rex moma and does are ready also an unrelated to the mom tri buck. Two NZ/California crosses one red and one blue eyed white. The rex black and white buck is still available and his half sister shes blue and white.
It's like now that I'm better its go time lol. Everything is happening or needing to be done all at once it's a bit overwhelming but Ill get it done. I havent even gotten to have time to finish the surprise. I really want you all to be surprised but now keeping it a surprise is just mean since its delayed for so long. So I'll tell you, I'm making custom garden planners with clay. So far with polymer I was limited because it's so hard to color the white (I didnt want to have to paint after as I want them to be clean designs so I tried coloring clay). I have loose binder rings so that you guys can add and remove and customize the binders like you want but I am putting in writing paper/school paper, baseball card sleeves (I use them for seeds so that was why I am adding them) and some grid paper so that way it starts off as a good garden planner. The paper could be removed for more baseball sleeves if any of you just want it for seed storage. The plastic binders are so blah so when I was going over my seeds when I was sick I thought of something cool I could do with the clay. I've seen people use clay for journal covers so why not? Issue was some of my first attempts broke because it takes a lot of color to color them and then it weakens the clay so I'm going to try with my DIY clay. It's easier to color and get a nice strong color and clay at the end of it. Im still trouble shooting sorry its taking so long. There is jewelry too but I wanted to send it all together and was so excited when I came up with doing this (when I was sicker it gave me time to think lol). Anyway it's coming it's just something new so I'm trying to make sure I do it right I want them to last better than the plastic binders I've got my seeds in. They are pretty beat up lol.

@@SunnieDIY sorry to hear about your grandma, I'll keep her in my prayers. How many bunnies is that now? Lol omgosh I bet it's going to come out to be a BEAUTIFUL planner. You really dont have to go through so much trouble. Now I kinda wish it was a surprise. I cant wait to do any unboxing video. Btw message me your B-Day. I want to keep up with that this year.

@@RootedInTx shes getting better slowly but still just being older she has her health issues shes already had before this cold flu thing. It happens. One of the big downsides to kids in public schools, the germs spread so easily.
I'm sorry I didn't keep the surprise I just want you to know I'm working on it, it has been trying but honestly I want to do it. You and Ernie and the lady from wild edibles have been so kind to me so when it clicked that I could do more than just jewelry I not only wanted the challenge (it is still art) and wanted to make sure you guys know that I appreciate your kindness. I was watching the journal cover videos that day and it was just like the lightbulb went off lol. I dont regret doing it at all I just regret it's taking so long I mean it's been what a month damn near at this point but just know I'm going to make it happen. All three when finished will be different and I'm not putting them on YT until for sure you guys have them and have seen them. So their look will still be a surprise. Also trying to think of the best way to get them there. I've got some ideas one of which includes packing them in between a cheap plastic binder since they are stiff and it would keep it stable lol. A binder with binder filling sounded funny to me lol.

6:55 EAT the FAT!!! It's good for you! I'm not kidding! It's not sarcasm! Animal fat is good for the body especially for the brain! I'm a Carnivore so I eat all the FAT from every piece of meat that I eat!
Our brain is made of cholesterol so without cholesterol we would not function properly and our hormones would be thrown out of whack, and therefore develop all kinds of autoimmune disorders, and our thyroid would not function properly and be out of balance.
Eating animal fat also makes you lose weight very easily. Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Tony Hampton, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Shawn Baker are all Carnivore doctors.
Dr. Elizabeth Bright talks about women and their hormones and how much we need animal fat!
Professor Thomas Seyfried is the Cancer Doc! He uses metabolic therapy with the carnivore way of eating and also low carb eating along with low dose chemotherapy and other natural treatments.
Don't trim the Fat off the meat you eat! Eat it All! 😋 Plus, Fat adds flavor! Yumm! 😋
I don't eat spinach. It's one of the worst greens you can eat. Spinach contains a lot of oxalates, lectins, phytates, tannins, phthalates, and other carcinogens! Those are cancer causing toxins.
