bro think you need to start doing these videos without your mods ..... no way im getting any witcher gear above lvl 40 in base game to start my lvl 100 ng+ im trying to find out what gear is best to start off with (armor) and every video's of NG+ you are using modded saves with lvl 100 gear to then go into new game plus
I never use aerondight in ng+ until i get it again in toussaint, because its a pain to keep leveling it up but the most important thing is you dont get exp from it, so i prefer to use legendary witcher swords for the +20 exp...the most important thing is to get as many red mutagens b4 you start ng+ and remove any armour sets that you have on your armour racks in your house...and also take as many of the plants you get from the covo bianco greenhouse before you start ng+ (winter berrys or whatever they are called) because they are used for making great mutagens.
That’s where you get those things. I never bothered with that because I never had trouble finding mutagens so it seemed useless. Now I’m in NG+ and I can’t find enough red mutagens to unlock more mutations. Oh well.
You can use the aerondight mod in order to avoid grinding for upscaling the damage.
Nothing beats a feline combat/alchemy build with flood of anger in NG+. Geralt is strong at everything and you get all signs fully maxed including alternative casts at the cost of just 3 ability slots instead of 16. You just need to take great care of what sign you cast and when because you can't spam them..as it should be.
Also your sword damage is absurd( I use Euphoria): combat is tense in deathmarch as all enemies can be killed quickly but 1 or 2 mistakes and you're dead too.
Its incredibly fun.
I’m a sign build player when I head into NG+. So using aerondight is irrelevant for my build(griffin 6 piece bonus needed for me). For melee focused players though, I agree with you 100%!

I've have just done a death march playthrough on ng+ just using the level 40 grandmaster gear and it's definitely doable and so much fun makes every fight feel deadly
The problem with NG+ is, that if you get one or two grandmaster sets, get your TKS and Aerondight, Mutations and the Runewright, so basically if you do your homework before starting a NG+ and start at level 50-55, even on Deathmarch and with scaling, the game becomes a walk in the park.
You still take alot of damage, but the problem is that you do so much, that most fights become trivial.
Even Bosses died in like 15 seconds, there is no Challenge at all anymore.
It was still fun but I prefer to start a fresh game to a NG+.
Do you even play death march difficulty? That's the only way to play this game as the lower difficulties were meant for kids and people who don't play video games (no joke).
also most armor you kept at the start and weapons too become obsolete quickly, like aerondight is just suffering, i use legendary witcher gear and then just use assassins gloves for the +10 crit chance

Although TKS sword is the best steel sword but if going to NG+ you would be 54-55 level. TKS is level 48 sword. The best one is to pick Han Gadeith sword from Elder vampire cave just before starting NG+ it will be as per your level. Just get the key from Oriana after which it does not matter which path you choose for ending. Pick the sword just before Starting NG+
Does the armorset level up as well or not?
@@williamgregoriopalpal3238 yes it does, but if you have gone the land of thousand fables route then went into Elder vampire cave, you can only go inside until the chest containing the sword and gauntlets. If you venture any further then the elder will kill Geralt.
@@amitkhatawkar8019 naaah I haven't chosen the fairyland, I wanted to get the full hen gaidth set so I chose to see the vampire elder. Wanted to get all sets before new game+ which is not possible if you want the good ending.
The TKS is completly broken, you have wrong information my friend.
The crit bonus makes the sword twoshot enemies that are level 80+, it is more than enough for a full playthrough to lvl 100
@@vitanus I was talking about a sword which is on your level before starting ng+. TKS does 385-471 damage(level 48), Hen Gaidth does around 440-540( around lvl 55). Did you try comparing both while playing in NG+. The more you grind in the base game, I was lvl 58 before starting NG+, the leveled Hen Gaidth sword becomes better to use in NG+
Dont forget about makijgvsure you bringvover 4 of each greater mutegen and bring over 1 of each type of each different nutegen. (I think you can syill only carry over x1 of each type of mutegen?) But you dont wanna get into NG+ abd not have all the mutegens you need. This is the only reason to uograde your vineyard imo so you can turn monster mutegens into regular mutegeons. Then use those mutegens to unlock ALL the mutegen tree.
I used console commands to start my ngplus game at level 100. Every enemy was level 105. I played it Just for story and it was great not worrying about levelling too high or be too low. Games don't need levelling if they're great, like Witcher 3.
Do you think it would be good to dismantle all your weapons and armors (since they are gonna turn obsolete once you start new game+) and use those materials to craft new equipment on the NG+ run?
You could totally do so! Dismantling costs a lot of money - so you gotta have that in the first place aswell :)!
Always better to dismantle with Yovana at crows perch, she is the cheapest master armorer so you get more items while dismantling
Hahaha, went straight to blood and wine dlc because I overleveled the main game due to doing witcher contracts and side quests. At that point i am at level 49 when I killed that ridiculuously hardest boss Detlaff

What about the coins ? I can keep them after the ng+ or should i give it to the runewrite ? And if i gave it to the runewrite can i keep his upgrade ? For example , i paid 10000 grand for level 2 . If I pay 15000 for level 3 and go to ng+ , when i find him again will his upgrade stays at level 3 or not ?
You have to complete blood and wine before you can start NG+

wait so a 3:30 my legendary grandmaster ursine armor will not be as strong as yours if I'm lvl 45 ish right? So do I have to build one again, as I progress in the game?

How does this work? in the start of ng+ every armor and swords seems to be better than mine.I have the aerondight and the Toussaint knight steel sword. And how does it work with armors do I need to craft different ones ? Or does it all scale with my level ?
Half a year late but might be useful for someone.
What I've found is that NG+ has boosted base item stats so they appear better than your old grandmaster gear. Be aware that grandmaster and Aerondigth has many bonuses that are not included in base stats so in short: only switch old grandmaster gear to superior legendary (and up of course). Regular/enhanced Witcher gear in NG+ is not (much) better than GM.
Aerondigth is BIS always.
Im lvl 100 in a ng+ and I have all the mutations and 3 school armors on grandmaster I grinded my ass of to get to max and I would love to take my mutations and gear into a ng+ but for some reason they dont alow this. So is there any way to bypass this nonsense and take my sh*t to q new game?
Mod New Game Plus Plus on Nexusmods for Witcher 3. Still works at the time of writing if the instructions are followed.
