Anyway Tom, thanks. I made this video because I installed remote start in the car and also push start but there was no way to remove the ignition to place my push start and when I found it, I made a video to help others.
We tried it out like in the video. The screw could not be loosened with pliers, we had to tap it out carefully with a hammer and chisel in a circle because it was really stuck.you cannot remove the lock without turning the ignition key Cross you cannot press the button when locked and the vehicle will not start again because the immobiliser will not open after the lock has been changed.. so i changed the lock and had to take the car to😢 Garage
Hi, quick question. Do you know where the key code might be in the car. I've checked the driver's door barrel, but it's not there. It's a Toyota Aygo, 2016, UK spec, right hand drive. I took the door barrel out, but having difficulty to pick the lock It's a TOY48 Lishi tool. Thanks in advance
Unfortunately no. You also need the chip from the car key you lost. As far as I know the only way to do it without a locksmith reprogramming a new chip is to move the original chip to the new key
@@paulinasandu3325 you can't. You have to do it prior to the change. That's why I left my comment to help others. Now you need to call a car key solution company or similar to do it for you. In London it costs £250.... I don't understand why the guy in the video don't talk about this.
@@paulinasandu3325 Also don't even try putting back the previous one. It won't work anymore. The only option is to make a key for the code that the car has which is working with your new ignition.

@@paulinasandu3325 oh and don't try staring the car now because you can cause further problems potentially a complete car brake down.
