She is the personification of:
"No matter who the IRS sends, I won't pay taxes"
32:00 seelle literally said "send dudes im in a fight i need more men"
As soon as she started talking about how her planet was saved, and that the contract would help everyone I immediately thought "Ok...where are the cons?" Whenever someone starts to boast a lot of advantages, there is always a catch.
Himeko was the one to tell us that. Only 60% of the projects actually works, and those that didn't can even make situations worse.
@@motivateddad Yep, as Bronya herself said, it's a gamble, and even if it doesn't work out, your entire people are still forced to be employees of the company, the contract is absurdly unbalanced.
@@motivateddad Himeko was being diplomatic about it, there's a record from an item in the simulated universe detailing one of those failed attempt ending up with the unfortunate planet being covered under a giant wall as a form of defense, which blocked out the sun and caused the extinction of the entire planet.
Kage had the quickest mood change.
From “Oh woe is me. Himeko’s not joining us. There’s no joy in the world”
to almost stupefied “Ooooh yesss” when he saw March 7th’s new dress 😂
The “I’m in charge of a project worth 8 billion credits” line isn’t completely false. I’m not sure it was worth that much but I’m sure the whole Arum Alley event and quest was worth a lot of in game currency
I mean, one of the stellaron hunters are roughly 8 billion or higher, per bounty. Hope that puts it into perspective a bit of how much 8 billion is worth.
Topaz: *Exists*
Eula:Finally a worhty opponent, our battle will be legendary
Jei! Thanks for always being a escape from the horrors of taxes and existentialism. Even if the video is about taxes. I just got back from my grandfathers funeral (he passed awhile ago, but still not fun) and ngl- you having another video is just what I needed.
KAGE’S BACK AT IT AGAIN NINJAS! our weekly dose of jeikage is filled 🤓☝️
Topaz is basically the “I don’t care who the IRS sends I’m not paying taxes.” Meme personified.
You serious march hoyo would never give the MC a custom outfit
Kiana: im gonna pretend I didn't hear that
Time to meet a Space IRS
Looking forward to you doing the event. Great vid as always.
When the Space IRS comes knocking
Bro that fricking leader robot sounds like Melvin from yu gi oh
Ty for uploading , Jei! 💙
Ain't no way both the kets and the jeikage posted the topaz trailblazer mission at the same time.
this quest just wants me to join the stailalong hunters side.
if you didnt notice- Topaz hav thigh mole
exactly! that Mole is the cherry on the cake! (and more or less makes up for some of her decisions in this quest, still she is more morally grey compared to other Star Rail characters, but my current main Star Rail team is quite Morally grey (Kafka, Sampo, Lynx and fire Stelle, Lynx being the most "good" out of them, i play my Stelle as a Chaotic Neutral character)
I had to reread Bronya's text. Thought she was inviting us to the Soulsborne Festival.
When Kage posts it's always a good day
YES! MORE KAGE CONTENT!
Every your new video, always make a good day Jeikage ❤
i thought there was dirt on my screen but it was Topaz thigh mole
the thigh mole is a KEY DETAIL!!!!!! That and her love or animals somewhat makes up for some of the questionable things she has done in this quest
Ah, Topaz....never has a character split the fanbase as much as she has.
But look at those thighs tho damn
It's kinda painful
I always thought it was goofy how we couldn't get explicitly evil characters playable in genshin
Now I can see why that's not happening
Topaz isn't even evil, that's the craziest part about this to me idk😭
expect nothing else when a character works for the most obvious generic Evil Corrupt Corporation that rules most of the Galaxy. They literally do everything Evil Corrupt Corporation does.
@@Toastyz27 but what about kafka
Can someone enlighten me
Eyyyy this is hype topaz and guin-guin let’s gooo
Hope you also make a video for the pokemon event, easily the best event so far and great ending.
Topaz is a menace
Numby be following the path of Nihility
Jeii, you can use a glitch in photo mode to open her blindfold
- open photo mode
- click on "Turn character around" Twice (on then off) quickly
- then immedietly go to action and click idle pose 2
it should do it, but if u enter battle or let her idle the glitch will be fixed
I’m pretty sure what’s what he already did for the outro of this video.
Didnt know the irs could be this cute
JEI I BEG. DID U SKIP MONSIEUR NEUVI 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i’m only waiting for youuuuuu
All u need to figure that out is consider the fact that Neuvi is not a woman
Not everyone wants him lol
@@quantumtheabyssalwolf950 considering he has pulled freminet, lyney, alhaitham, cyno, ayato, etc i dont think that’s the case
@@arlecchino7936 I mean he as a content creator pulled everyone in genshin
Daddy is coming, kage is on budget 😂
love your stuff
Topaz has that 'Sneering Imperialist' perk in New Vegas.
MY Ninja
I think having Jingliu staring deep into my soul at the end of the video was the most creepiest part. I'm just deeping that she doesn't blink at all.
42:50 was that a freakin ushi reference
I would love to see if u continue the story, or New Story Quest Jingliu
are you gonna be doing the pokemon event as well then
First they dealt with The Eternal Freeze now they'll have to deal with The Eternal Debt 😂
Thats where it ends?! We we so close to the end lol. Damn.
How did you even see that mole!? Now I can't not see it!
march 7th dress skin when
Unrelated: Stella never have make up so that alone make her a 👌
Topazussy is so Juicy . I love the drip from it
Given her outfit/hips, I've already seen some people nickname her "Topass" instead of "Topaz", LOL, Suiting AND funny.
March is the best waifu material, especially in her new outfit...
agreed, well i am not sure of the "BEST waifu marital" but DEFINATLY Waifu Material (i say not "Best" but only because she is not my optimal type (although definitely among the best in Star Rail if we go by "Traditional Standards"))
not the potazz
continue the event
The question remains...when do you make an HSR outro screen???
"Interastral PEACE Corporation"
First response: "Should I end them?".
Yeah, reeeeaaaaal peaceful, isn't the IPC also the ones Herta got to freeze Silver Wolf's accounts?, or is that someone else?, I say we help out our local hacker wolf and dismantle the IPC completely, Corporate scum willing to take advantage of people who just barely managed to avoid EXTINCTION deserve no mercy, LOL.
Also future note to Jeikage, when it comes to the Not-Pokemon battles, here's a tip: Combine the Cannoneer with the Big robot when you get them for hilariously OP results.
Has the same vibe as "our Ministry of DEFENSE is in charge of handling multiple wars across the world"
Greed and Power Corrupts, i am not sure how else to put it
Hello everynyan
For real though, when is that March skin gonna drop
You missed the chance for cultured shots of March's outfit...
but we will still pull for her right?
We need more Dehya content
March is the best hoyo character. Shes literally adult klee.
Wanderer:?
If tax collectors are a hot woman I would pay them everything ‼️
i might be willing to pay as long as it is nothing too much, i would try to negotiate depending on the price
huh he didnt finish it
I’m pretty sure Topaz almost lost a lot of fans during this quest with her attitude towards Belabog
Almost? Consider me definitely lost, I want nothing to do with her.
Not really. A waifu is a waifu lol
I like her, i get why ppl hate her though. But the most egregious thing about this quest wasn't on her. I love her no-nonsense straight to the point attitude. Refreshing from the cookie cutter "nice and agreeable flat characterization. Bronya on the other hand just comes off as a whiney " WE NEED HELP" leader. Tired of everyone praising her when she literally didn't do anything to save Belobog to this point. It was all the Nameless, and now shes bugging the nameless for help again bc she doesn't wanna pay debt.. Shes like the Ayaka of HSR. So boring. But i wont lie, the IPC swooping in to collect that debt rn was dirty af. But i acknowledge my take on this is prolly the hottake that no one agrees with bc i generally dont like the Belobogians, except Pela. Especially Seele. Oh and Hook, hook is funny and cute. Everyone else is hella mid.
I cannot imagine what people thought an IPC executive would be like. She's actually a hell of a lot nicer than her position implies she would be.
The amount of talent the girl has to have to maintain a conscience in a high level position in the organization that in-universe invented interplanetary trade, holds an absolute monopoly over it and controls most of the galaxy's resources and trade routes AND are working on the basis of doing all of this for the sake of their deity who is working to protect all life as we know it thus being fully committed to doing all they can to generate STONKS FOR THE GOOD OF ALL is mind boggling.
Topaz is such a good resource to the IPC that they overlooked her not acquiring the entirety of Jarillo VI and just gave her a slap on the wrist. In their estimations this girl is more valuable than a whole planet at the very least. That's kinda wild. People don't know what they're on about being turned off of her literally just doing her job VERY well.
@@anheld8726bro! You are the only one being whiny! How dare you disrespect Bronya like that, she is not whiny at all! So you expect Bronya to pay 700 years worth of taxes just like that?! She literally said she didn't know how to read the string of numbers it was so big! The way, it is sounding is, you would rather have Cocolia as the leader still, the same person who put Bronya through hell, which she didn't derseve! Bronya is 100x the leader Cocolia ever was! I'm sorry (not) you really pissed me off with that shit, you said about Bronya!
I didn't like her the moment I learned she's from the IPC. There's always a catch to businesses practices like them.
Anyone not gonna point out that March and Topez kinda look alike?
serval and her crowd singing made my ears fold up
Still like Topaz, still dont like the IPC lol
The IPC is one of the examples of capitalism
Keep in mind that the IPC's success rate is 63%, and Topaz holds 80% of that success rate on her back.
If she wasn't part of them, that success rate would be much lower.
It's also not a good look to the corporation when Topaz is the only high-ranking executive we've met so far that's a morally good person.
We also have to remember that this is a Honkai game. The "bad guys" aren't really the bad guys, even if they do horrible and despicable things. Raven was a very good example. Is morally good for the most part but works for a terrorist organization and is complicitly involved in its plans (she almost nuked a city once). But as we learned more about her, it becomes clear that her goal was to ultimately create a safe haven for orphaned children and isn't on board with the organization's cause.
FYI, HoYo has confirmed one world per year.
True but they short this version by couple weeks and it say after 1.6 we will jump on to 2.0
Of course it is, well so long as there's a lot of fun stuff in between I can wait and tolerate the wait, probably.
Corporations and governments are different things my guy. You keep calling IPC the government when they are a private entity.
“But I’m out of pocket”
Did she just. What? I’ve never heard someone say that about themselves. And probably for good reason, it’s weird. That was supposed to be her bad chick scene but I found myself cringing a lil.
People say shes evil for BELEBOGS debt.the interest is litterally normal interest is a normal thing
If u read the dialogue again, it was the IPC who went to the architects. It wasnt the architects who asked for the ipc. And it was revealed that the equipment wasnt even used by Alisa Rand.
In the first place this “debt” was sus because if Jarilo truly asked for a loan why would the equipment be left unused. The only logical conclusion is the IPC donated money and is now calling it a debt after centuries.
Because the Architects don't have the technical knowhow to operate those weapons as said by Svarog, instead they used the blueprints of those weapons to create their own version of it, which include Svarog...
@@ooczzy thanks
@@ooczzy they still used the money to fund the wall so even without the weapons they kinda needed the money
Lol, they agreed to deal for 200 years. After 100 years they they decided to close deal thinking jurilo is dead. After 700+ years they find out that jurilo is still alive, wtf they decided to make interest if they closed deal by themselve.
More over they think that purely thanks to thier invests jurilo survived (topaz spoke huge robot army that can fight legion) when in fact belobog did most work by them selves (svarog said yeah ipc left weapon factory but f'ckers from ipc didn't gave any instructions how to use, so it was close to useless) .
So what really happened, legion attacked jurilo, ipc decided to flee, of course they couldn't take factory with them so they selled it as debt with interst.then after 100 years they decided to not connect with belobog but abandon as if they died. And now when they find out that belobog alive they decide to earn easy money (ipc jast want to sell every piece of planet, while topaz want to prove that belobog worth of investments) and ipc behave as if they have full ownership of jurilo and only thanks to abandoned factory belobog survived.
Why i hate Topaz’s guts is because of multiple reasons
It was explicitly stated that it was the ipc who went to look for the architects in the past before they evacuated. Why would that result in a debt, especially when it was later revealed that Alisa Rand never even used the equipment the IPC gave. Jarilo clearly never asked for the equipment since it was IPC who looked for the architects not the other way around, so that in itself should question their debt claim. Its like saying i visited my friend and left 10$ before i went home that he didnt ask for, now he owes me 10$.
Topaz also let her team harass the locals before the contract was even signed. You can’t say “oh she pulled them back in the end” when in the first place she shouldnt have given them the go signal before negotiations were complete
The most egregious of all, she willingly withheld crucial information to bronya that had to be revealed by Himeko. Imagine what would have happened to the contract if the astral express wasnt there. Even if topaz’s case success rate is 80% overall, they never explicitly mentioned her success rate for cases involving stellarons. Heck even Topaz said most stellaron cases are hopeless, but she only told this to trailblazer and march, not to bronya who had to make the decision.
I dont really care about her morals, the fact that she executed her job like an extortionist says a lot about her character.
Pretty sure Bronya said that even the walls and several buildings of belobog were funded by the debt. And not just animatronics but even the power sources were provoded by the IPC thats why the giant mech contruction robot that aided us against cocolia is so significant because its the only thing that the belobogians built without help
No, it's like you lend someone money, they didn't use it, but also didn't pay you back, so you came to take it back.
She didn't let her people harass locals. They did it themselves, which shows bad ICP can be if it's normal for other supervisors to treat planets like that. Right when she learned they acted without her permission and harrased people, she ordered them to stop.
And tbh, there's nothing crucial about the success rate. If not Topaz, someone else would be sent and they would most likely take the planet by force instead of trying to look for other ways. When Bronya proposed other solution that was acceptable, Topaz accepted it, even tho it costed her money and negatively impacted her work position.
People out here calling the IPC 'evil' when we've not seen anything but some cringe marketing and... good faith efforts at repairing damaged worlds? Where's the evil? In fact, every major story about the IPC I can find in the lore is them finding something that's either in terrible condition or underutilized, and making something positive and profitable out of it (e.g. the Rutilant Arena). And while they call themselves a 'company', they're more structured as a pan-galactic economic federation, and most of their profits go into... stockpiling resources for Qlipoth so he can build walls to keep out... whatever cosmic horrors he's worried about.
This specific case is extortion, evidenced by the fact that the equipment was unused.
You can explicitly read the dialogue where it said the IPC looked for the Architects before evacuating. That + the fact that the equipment was never used calls into question if it was really a debt or an attempt at extortion.
If it really was a debt, it would have been the Architects looking for the IPC, then using the equipment. The exact opposite happened. And now they collect when no one is alive to verify the original deal.
Imagine if you visit a friends house, and just before leaving you leave 10$. Your friend never asked or used this 10$. 2 weeks pass you come back then say your friend owes you 10$. Thats exactly what topaz and the ipc tried to do
Your definition of extortion and debt are a little unorthodox, if this is how you're applying the terms. And your example is just... bad. Further, you're assuming a lot of bad faith from the IPC that we have no evidence of, and assuming a lot of innocence on the part of the Architects.
Firstly, the IPC explicitly approached the Architects remaining behind and offered them a loan of capital and resources with which to try and protect their planet. This isn't extortion. If anything, this is unprompted generosity. The IPC had no reason to expect the Architects to survive, so the loan was at extremely high risk of loss from the start, and the repayment period of nearly three-hundred years means they were aware that Jarilo-VI wouldn't be able to pay down the debt in huge installments. But it did indicate they expected it to be repaid eventually. The Architects voluntarily accepted, and the proof this arrangement took place is that every automaton on the planet is still running IPC source code.
Second, it was that first-ish generation of Architects who failed to keep the fact that they were in debt at all from being passed down, despite the fact that the very walls and automata keeping them safe following the start of the Eternal Freeze were only possible thanks to the loan they accepted. Meaning that in the 700 years they were isolated-more than double the arranged repayment period-while they could have been setting aside a growing pile of funds that could be used to at least pay off the principle in the possibility they made contact with the outside again, they absolutely didn't.
In fact, they didn't bother to give the IPC credit for anything and seem to have conveniently 'forgotten' the debt owed to them in favor of crediting everything to Alissa Rand and the Architects. No one on the planet knows what the IPC is, and a lone Findie languishing in the mines is the only evidence left that they were ever there.
Am I suggesting that maybe the first couple generations of Architects hid more than just the existence of the Stellaron from future generations in order to foster a stronger faith in the leadership of the Supreme Guardians, effectively manufacturing the debt crisis themselves by leaving future Guardians and Architects to be blindsided by something they could have prepared for all this time?
Perhaps.
All I'll say is that we know it wouldn't be the first time they buried something in the snow. It seems to be their modus operandi, as Bronya clearly demonstrates.
So, no. I don't see anything 'evil' in the IPC's actions. No more than I see 'evil' in the Architects' choices. There is no evidence that any step in this unfortunate chain of events was done with malice or bad faith. It's just the consequences of a lot of decisions coming to a head.
@NagaTales you do have a point, but that doesn't excuse Topaz letting her team harass the locals or the fact that she withheld the info concerning the success rate of IPC projects from Bronya.
@@hunterlongbrake6268 The IPC grunts acting out-of-line is a classic case of, as military folk call it, 'good initiative, but bad judgement'. Clearly, that specific Team Leader thought securing the mines and getting an account of its value was something Topaz would want them to do as part of the 'evaluation'. Eager to prove his merits, he made calls that were very shortly countermanded by Topaz herself. I think that's less of a negative reflection on Topaz, and more just a consequence of the IPC's general zealotry for self-advancement and success.
As for Topaz failing to disclose the probabilities, that can be chalked up to any number of reasons, ranging from intentional omission to raw confidence in her own abilities. But there's little to go on to determine where on that scale Topaz' decision lies, so it's largely up to interpretation.
However, I will note that I'm not trying to absolve Topaz of being the antagonist in the story. She absolutely was, and she was a *great* antagonist at that. Probably the best antagonist we've had so far! But an antagonist and a villain are different. An antagonist is merely a force standing in the way of the protagonist at any one point in a story. A villain, however, is specifically a malicious force that is pursuing evil ends.
Topaz, though the antagonist, was there to do what she claimed in good faith; absolve the debt and take the burden of survival off of Belobog's people. Neither her motives nor her methods were villainous, they simply were not compatible with Bronya's vision of Belobog's future. And her willingness to acquiesce to that vision and take the failure on the chin is all the confirmation I needed of Topaz's good faith.
((Even though I'm not gonna pull her due to her not benefitting my account in any way >.>))
