Hi Team, Indiahike always comeup with amazing video on helpful topic. Looking forward more videos. I'm very excited for my first trek. Can you suggest gaiters?
Dear team, should we check anti skid labels too in snow shoes or is it just a gimmick? And which waterproof coating is the best, gortex, leather, rexin etc? If i wear those waterproof socks, then how come it is breathable? Shouldn't it be water resistant?
Anti-skid labels don't make much difference for the volume of snow in the mountains. They are alright for city settings where you might walk on very less snow. So don't go by those numbers. As for the waterproof socks, they are made out of three layers, with two absorbant layers and one waterproof layer wedged in between. While they may not be as absorbant as your regular socks, they still do the job well, especially in winter, when your feet don't sweat too much.
Great video, Indiahikes. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up icon on your post. Keep up the awesome work. Do you think there are specific brands that excel in the features you mentioned, especially regarding water resistance and grip for snow trekking boots?

Can I use waterproof trail shoes in chandrashila trekk in the month of March ?
Hi, yes, you can. That should work fine.
@Indiahikes thank you 😊 🙏
Can I use Rubber boots or Gum boots?
We wouldn't recommend them since they are not breathable. They are not really meant for trekking.
