      Bimbo reminds me of my brother. Lloyd . My dad would sing this song to him. He was mentally retarded and spent his entire adulthood in a nursing home.

    To gracielinn. The nr 1’s were played so much when new they became common. The less heard are newer in a sense. I grew up in 40’s amp prefer some of the less popular

    Hard to believe a song that spent almost half of the calendar year at number one on the charts is rarely ever played on classic country shows or even radio stations that are entirely dedicated to classic country music. On the other hand, songs that never hit number one make almost every old-time country show and regularly make rotation on radio stations dedicated to the country. Not saying it’s a bad thing that the Number One Hits get recognized as well just saying it’s kind of funny how time and tastes change.
