Finally, it's here! I'm so hyped for the next reaction. I love how the tactics are playing out. It's not like some other "war" arcs I've seen where I hear their strategy and do a double take; this one completely makes sense to me and I love how it all plays out. The ones at a "disadvantage" are going nearly all out in a last-resort offense, while the stronger side simply wastes no energy and defends. Remember when you pointed out the eyes/hair in the OP matching Heith many reactions ago? Yep, that's her alright. She's going crazy this episode 🔥 Non-spoilers: 9:56 Andhrimnir refers not only to Heith (nickname Golden Witch lol) but rather the entire healing UNIT of the Freya Familia, something that wasn't shown that great. There's more than one healer, but Heith is the head of that group. Kind of scary if you think about it; an entire unit of healers when most familias only have one or few. Since I highly doubt they'll ever mention this, Ottar was only lv. 6 when he used that magic Hildis Vini to beat a Lv. 7. So it's kinda like Bell's Argonaut in a way; a magic to turn the tides (coming from someone who actually hasn't read the source material for this story arc). 18:50 Danmachi's OPs sometimes shows a bit toooo much lol
I mean its clear they put their goddess in plain view the Hestia familia can't win unless they claim her flower it's clear no matter what they have to assault them I can't believe I didn't consider it that's an amazing tactical move
He is tho theres just that big of a difference bell got too lvl 5 in 6 months while others wouldve taken like 4 years and im talking about Ais, Ryuu potential average adventurers would probably take decades
@@kajiesan4371 buddy, I know about Bell's fast growth. But the thing is, he wouldn't grow so fast unless he was facing challenges that put him through the ringer. He's literally always punching above his weight class which means that for all his fast growth and power, he's never actually overpowered, because Fujino Oomori is a good writer and knows how to keep the story interesting.
It isn't all the gods/familias. The Hestia Familia Alliance is made up of 47 familias. About 800 people. Bell and Tsubaki are the only two level 5s. (Though Aisha is a level 4 boosted to level 5, Daphne and Bors are level 3 boosted to 4, and Welf and Mikoto are level 2 boosted to level 3.) Most of those fighting are level 2-3. The Freya Familia has 100 members that are level 2 or 3. 50 are second class adventurers meaning level 3 or 4, which means there is overlap in those numbers. However, each is individually far more skilled than most at the same level. They have Four level 5s. Three level 6s. And a maxed out level 7 (he isn't techincally 8 yet). Heidin will always do what he feels is in Freya's best interest. They did Heith's scene well, but kind of cut out how horifying it was for the army to see people stand back up and reattach arms and legs as they did so. Heith has a whole team of healers, she is just the leader. They should have shown several healers walking in through the fire healing, but they chose to just use her alone. When Ottar used Hildis Vindi to beat the level 7 Zald during the Grat Feud he was only level 6. That feat is what got him to level 7. The "go get beaten" line should have been "go get cut." There is a difference. :) Asvi cant joint he fight, but she may be able to help someone outside of the arena.
Heith is new waifu. Top 3 for me. She’s batshit lit and OP. Freya family as a whole is so OP. Hogni wiped the floor with Ryuu and took down Tsubaki even with that level boost. They’re all on a different level. Best girl Heith after this ep 😂
I love this, and yeah, you're almost spot on with Ottarl. He (at Level Seven) is basically, with this spell active, hitting Bell with a pseudo mid-tier Level Eight attack, and Bell manages to match him with Argonaut at Level Five. Truly Game breaking stuff. With Heith, a few things that were left out. Her chanting was hid by the sound and smoke screen from the magic swords the Hestia Alliance was using, which is why they couldn't stop it from activating. But, to truly show how terrifying she is, this is from the novels: "A dedicated healer had just torn through Level 2 and 3 upper-class adventurers. Seeing that strange scene on the mirrors in Orario, the most speechless were not the normal people or even the adventurers. It was other healers. “Heith Velvet…” Among the Dian Cecht Familia, healers who had avoided participating in the war game, Amid Teasanare, Dea Saint, narrowed her eyes in awe. Amid, who was famed as the greatest healer in the city, and Heith. For a while, they had been known as Orario’s two great healers: the silver saint and the golden witch. The main difference between the two who dominated the first and second slots on the list of best healers was above all healing range. Amid could use healing magic with a broad area of effect, too, but Heith had been forged in the fires of Folkvangr and was on a completely different level. Amid would win out in raw healing output, but Heith likely took the flag when it came to sustained output. And the other decisive difference was pure combat ability. While Amid’s melee ability was in the realm of normal healers, Heith could obliterate second-tier adventurers all by herself. “Her background as a healer is just too different…” " And it was similar with Hogni vs Tsubaki, she put up a good fight, considering this would be the first time she got a Level Boost, AND she went up against Hogni. In the LN, back when Bell was first taken, Hogni tore Aiz apart with his sword, which is referred to as the Vanguard Slayer, and he has used to bring down multiple magic swordsmen. It basically uses magic, in exchange for stamina, to disguise the actual length of the blade, so it turns near misses into deadly blows. Overall, nervous about how its going to go because of timing, but optimistic overall due to the amount of setup they've done!
I also can’t see how the allied army prevails here. Ryu and Mama Mia need to join the battle stat. Heith was so badass here. Heith makes the Einherjar “immortal” like their Norse namesake. She also literally cooks food for the entire Familia. Her nickname, Andhrímnir, is thus very fitting, as it refers to the chef of the Einherjar, who prepares feasts for those warriors after they revive at the end of a day of combat.
Im loving the anime but its really speeding through the fight and it's underselling how intense and hype some scenes are. They gave us a glimpse of it showing Heith regenerating her exposed muscles but it glossed over how terrifying it is seeing the charred bodies of the Einherjar get mended reattching lost limbs in the process. And that fight with Van really reminds you how crazy of a difference a level will make. From the LN: "As I weather his assault, what I feel isn’t fear or anxiousness-it’s a shocking sense of emptiness, and a maddening sadness. A level-up is truly cruel. The Level 4 Mr. Van who I fought so many times during the baptism, who I sometimes defeated and sometimes lost to…now seems so painfully slow...I’m not even breathing hard. The battle didn’t last a minute. Level 5 and Level 4. The difference in those two numbers is everything." Sadly the anime didnt capture how intense the clash between Ottarl and Bell was but fingers crossed the remaining episodes go crazy with the animation to make up for it.
The animation has cut off a lot of the plot, because the war game and the light novel have a full 800 pages, but they have to be condensed into 5 episodes of animation. In terms of the performance of this episode of animation, the performance is actually a little lacking. Bell and Ottarl's ultimate attacks are not intense enough to switch perspectives too quickly. The description in the light novel is even more cruel at the beginning of the war. The battle was even more one-sided. But I hope the performance will be better in the next four episodes.
So in the 1sst part of this episode I was like man I wish I could see Bell in action then when I got some of that I was just like him like bro please stop I love him as our MC but he's literally a baby yeah in his world he's considered an adult but he's a newly minted one they're lucky hes not the same level otherwise he would've destroyed ottarl with his attack heck maybe if he'd gotten boosted by haruhime he could've outright won
Sorry for late upload, was out of town most of yesterday when this episode dropped, this war game is already super intense 0-0
Hey bro, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is over now, do you know if you will ever get back to reacting to it, the ending goes very hard. 🤜🤛

@@Amuro1X always punching above his weight class but doesn't get punished for it sounds overpowered to me lil bro
@kajiesan4371 children always projecting. He struggles and earns his victories. Learn what words mean.

actually ottarl is lv7 and he's max out str status a long time before the match with bell
Don't forget that Bell flat line a few time in Freya training ground. If leave too long, Bell will be talking to Odin about how he die.
11:25 shes saying we because theres supposed to be a group of healers with her but i suppose that didnt sit well with the budget😅
