Eragon was a huge part of my childhood. I've started reading the series when I was twelve years old, and every time a new book would come out, it'd feel like christmas - until I read through it withing a week tops. Then I would usually read the entire series over again, just to experience it all back to back and numb the pain that is waiting. Discovering this video now, some ten years later, and seeing that it was uploaded a whooping six+ years ago stings in the same way, but I don't dare rush you or your art. As long as book five is coming, that small kid in me will keep on waiting.
Well good news! Another (Disney plus) adaptation of Eragon is underway, and (if you check Christopher's Twitter) it is said that next year, he will be releasing two new books. I understand your pain, but you likely won't have to wait for much longer!
hey man these books got me through a really tough childhood, I reread them a lot and I vividly remember going to get ever single paper/hardback copy I have of the books. I'm really looking forward to book 5 no matter how long it takes, I hope I get to see Eragon and Saphira in the flesh in it

I'm pretty sure you can read The Fork, The Witch and The Worm already. i suggest you do its a really fun book and it has the same characters still, taking place a little after the 4th book but not nearly as long. i think it's about 200 or so pages but i dont remember

After reading the fourth I was like... this can't be!! It feels like I don't live in this world anymore...(why such sadness though?) Like most others I'm waiting for a book which continues in Alagaesia
They put the want of many before the want of few. If they would have gotten together it would have been like so many other books. This really makes you feel their sacrifice.
what I'd really love to read would be a tale of Brom's life after the Fall of the Riders and before we first see him in Eragon. That would be a great addition to the series.

I absolutely love the series I've read each book multiple times and any time in my life that nothing makes sense I return to alagesia and I find the answer I need

I think it put a seed inside his body that will turn him into another tree when he dies. It says he felt something in the pit of his stomach before the tree releases him. It probably already knew he would leave for a land across the sea and it will be the start of another home for the elves and dragons.
Just want you to know we appreciate you sir love your work and I love those characters and I cannot wait to see what happens there and I'm so hoping and praying for a good ending for eragon he deserves a happy ending with Aria and children I believe but I'm also extremely interested to know what happens to roran he is probably one of my most favorite characters besides Aragon but then again I love them all so much they're like family and I cannot wait to see the world you weave with them in it
I have reread the series, again, finishing Inheritance today, of course I will read the short stories book again but, I still mourn for Nasuada and the future she almost had with Murtagh and I wonder if it's ever to be? Of the next riders, dwarf and urgal. Of Saphira becoming a mother. I hope he still plans on returning. It's these books like no other that I'd read for eternity.

Come on Christopher, When will you writ the next book? It's almost 7 years and you video said ASAP. To many ASAP means fast! Like someone asking for an Ambulance ASAP. If I called for one and it showed up 7 years later I dont think I would be well. I, like many of your readers would like to read the book before we go blind or pass on. Also how long do you think people will wait for the book before they give up on it? If you want old fans and new fans then the time for the book should be soon. Just my view! But I know many people who have already given up on the book and or series.

He and his publisher will see how few books he will sell compared to the first books.
Theory: Saphira hatched for Sloan. He is the first person to touch the egg after Eragon. Due to some vile elf magic, Saphira had her mind addled. Due to this, she thought she hatched for the weak farm boy, not the blood thirtsy butcher.
😂😂 I'm not sure if you've read all the books, but I suggest you do. In inheritance when they are on Vroengard, Umaroth says that there was a small chance that Saphira would hatch for Eragon, that's why they sent the egg to him.
