Cockermouth is a town located in Cumbria in North West England. If You Tube sensors that, they need their head examined. It seems you have an abundance of UK place names. Even as a TF2 veteran I am learning new things.
If YT finds it offensive - it could always be renamed to Cockerlips or Cockerpiehole, thus no longer being offensive!
It's also in hoi4
Good old Scunthorpe problem.
So named because it sits at the mouth of the river Cocker.
When naming lines - I took inspiration from Germans ;) or more exact - SAP. TL - truckload, RC - RailCart. Easy to remember and less confusion = efficient!
Really enjoying this new series and the simple explanations on how the game works
Perfect! That's exactly why I'm doing it:)
Thx for the video. Can’t wait to see all episodes. Didn’t know that different cargo platforms (truck train ship) didn’t have to build next to each other (next tiles) to be count as the same cargo
I hope to see in the next epiosode when train trafic grow how signals work. I have sometimes the issue that trains stop / block other trains waiting before a signal. Also O never have multiple trains in my train station. They go only in when other train is left.
(Sorry English isn’t my native language)
"It's never too early for trains." Jesus Christ, 1 BC.
It's funny seeing you try to use the shortcuts of WRSR. Cool game!
Games need universal controls!
@@bballjoLet's make a petition to all the studios in the world named : "Pls always rotate buildings with the scroll wheel!"
Yes please
Yaay I was waiting for something to watch, thx
Great explanation of how the freight rates work! 👍🏻
Trainstation are always working as a signal as well
Hi! Just got started with the game, thanks for all the explanation. What game mode do you play with? Time is running but you stay on the same day?
Just set the time progression to what you like, it only affects vehicle availability. Look to bottom right
Would recommend you shorten trucks to T and trains to R(ail). Or can leave trains as T and name truck lines R for Road transport.
There are many ways to do it, and only one way to do it every week ;) it's not just the lettering, it's also names and purpose;)
I played many hours of Monopoly as a kid, so me train lines are RR.
Hey, your struggel with the Truck Routing in ScrumTown is kind of Senseless, since you got a lot of left turns and interfering with civil vehicles, for the sake of avoiding your own Cars. But your Cars are on Scedule and therefore low change of interfering.
I'm avoiding my own cars for when they are queueing at a station, so they don't block each other and stop the line....I don't care about civil vehicles.
@@bballjo i see, your Intention ist preventing deathlocks, i thought throwput optimization.
I rarely ever use trucks when I'm worried about throughput, because traffic optimization is a little lackluster here outside of "provide more options".
Still more efficient to have em turn right on their path than all left turn like you set them up
When adding bus, cargo and depots, I don't connect them them directly to roads, but leave space for a small road segment. For two reasons: it allows more space to queue vehicles, later in the game, when traffic lights are automatically added, it allows their removal. On really busy roads, traffic lights cause backups.
More videos pls🤭
Friday! Next one is Friday:)

No, it's never too early for trains.
You are wrong. Player is not paid for speed achieved. It never was. Player is paid for construction speed of the vehicle ! (be aware of slow loco pulling fast wagons >> low profit becouse of low speed of vehicle, fast wagons get paid for speed of slow loco, >> it doesnt matteer the actual speed but construction speed ! ) It means, it is economically efficient overload cargo trains up to Poor power bracket. So when you you did long slow moving train, you did it right.
If your train on the line is unable to hit maximum speed then the train is not suited for the task, and you pay more in maintenance than is required. I simplify that by saying "the train needs to hit max speed"... entirely misleading and simplified: yes, and what you wrote is true.
@@bballjo Apreciated youu admit unfortunate advice. However, it is more, inabiility to reach the top speed is not a problem. It is only a myth that efficiency is to reach top, it isnt.
