The reason I am utterly obsessed with Want, even more than I was with Move, is because in Move he was the most precise and polished dancer on stage, every movement was so deliberate and perfectly placed and the backup dancers were trying to keep up. But in Want, he's lazy. The backup dancers' movements are more exaggerated, sharper, more traditionally perfect kpop dancing, whereas Taemin's movements are muted, like he's just marking the choreography, he can't even be bothered doing it properly. It looks lazy and arrogant and effortless and it is utterly, utterly brilliant.
You put into words perfectly what I've been feeling from Want! I've described it as "relaxed" but that doesn't capture the other part of why I like it, and it's because that's the concept, he doesn't NEED to be passionate and perfect and always doing complicated moves because he'll seduce everyone anyway. The "lack" of effort is the most intentional part of Want and what Taemin's trying to do, and I hope it doesn't get seen as an actual lack of talent. He's so good he can move muted, and is still mesmerizing, and he knows it. I'm really proud of him for doing this, he's put in so much work over so many years he deserves to be "arrogant" with his dancing lol

This is the first time I’m actually seeming something of Taemin’s work, but WOW. I’m truly astounded that someone can put so much emotion and fluidity into their moves that watching them is so moving and entirely pleasing. Also his outfit gave the performance itself extra points, I digged it a lot.
Taemin is the best solo artist in the kpop industry... I said it I ain't takin it back. Chungha is amazing and extremely talented don't get me wrong but as different as they are Taemin is so much more artistic and his aura is godlike. He moves in such a natural and fluid sort of way and he has his own sound and style and watching him feels so much more different to any other solo artist I've watched. If only people weren't so narrow-minded they would see the actual art and aesthetic of Taemin and altogether kpop.

What I love about Taemin is that he is so unique. Let alone in Kpop, but also in the world there is no one like him when it comes to music, DANCING, and performing. They’re drunk, but they’re honest and let their emotions out most in that moment. I think that’s why Taemin danced like that, it depicts the song more accurately, but you can still tell that he can feel the groove. It’s honestly amazing and genius

This is the first time I’m actually seeming something of Taemin’s work, but WOW. I’m truly astounded that someone can put so much emotion and fluidity into their moves that watching them is so moving and entirely pleasing. Also his outfit gave the performance itself extra points, I digged it a lot.

Taemin is the best solo artist in the kpop industry... I said it I ain't takin it back. Chungha is amazing and extremely talented don't get me wrong but as different as they are Taemin is so much more artistic and his aura is godlike. He moves in such a natural and fluid sort of way and he has his own sound and style and watching him feels so much more different to any other solo artist I've watched. If only people weren't so narrow-minded they would see the actual art and aesthetic of Taemin and altogether kpop.
