- Triple H on the Damian Priest botch. Whenever Triple H has one of these moments I find it so bizarrely touching and moving. I don’t know how authentic it is but it’s the kind of boss everybody dreams of having. Especially considering what their last boss was like. #wwe #tripleh #damienpriest #botch #shorts
I know wrestling is planned but damn. It’s like a boxer knocking out his opponent and naming the knocked out guy the winner.
The referee counted to three and everyone present could clearly see it. The referee just needed to give this information to the ring announcer and management. Next, Plan B would be used in case of unforeseen circumstances and bookers would work on the fly. Damien lost, there was no doubt about that. The referee shouldn't have blindly followed the first scenario because there is always an alternative plan for such events. Some blame should be placed on Damien, but the referee's actions were far more egregious and unprofessional. As a last resort, in similar situations in the history of wrestling, the restart of the match was announced.
It's clear that Priest was out cold for a second. Can't call that a botch
Ref's job is to pretend it is real. Seth should have been awarded the pinfall, and then they can improvise to get to the expected final result with Punk and Drew, and then have Priest win the title back sooner rather than later if they really want him to be the champ.

@@gerasimov_mvthey should’ve swerved, gave Rollins the belt, Drew’s music comes on, rest goes as it did, priest still wins…it would’ve worked out perfectly…2nd time someone other than priest was champ for 5 minutes, exactly the way punk did it to Drew…then Seth would’ve had a real good season to be pissed at punk, and it saves Rollins cuz he technically beat Priest the first time so he can still challenge him again.
Can’t blame Priest, his job is to let the music play, ref’s job is to make the split second decision if the music doesn’t come on at 2 1/2.

Even if it's ref's job to do that, they still end up losing their jobs because of it
Bro what? That was an epic failure. The title should have changed hands and you guys just have to wing it from there. Have Drew still cash in and then have it be a triple threat with Priest and he somehow gets the title back and everything is still as is.
If priest lost, he would’ve been kicked out of judgement day. That’s why priest needed to win.
I would have pulled a “ref had Dwayne in his ear” work.
That adds a little flair to the final boss still being out there.
That actually is pretty good
And it actually would work because it was Seth
It was bullshit, one of the biggest botches ever
WWE treats its fans like idiots
Shit was one of the most embarrassing moments in Priest’s career and the refs as well(I understand it was not his fault)because that was terrible, Priest figured his music would hit prior to the pin I’m guessing but wow, fyi imo still was some of the best writing as far as screwing over DM over and over and over again lol Everyone knows it was coming and I still laughed out loud legitimately which is why I didn’t use lol haha
DM isnt the guy he's not over at all anymore he's stale
Who cares about who you like WWE don't care about any of you get that straight they only want your money it's a business that's all WWE is a political corporate business that sells people
One of the few good things about wrestling now is when things can become real. They should have improvised and went with what was real at the time.
Instead, they remind people to question why they even watch this anymore.
HHH isn't running the show like a GM should. He is still thinking like a wrestler, and it's why the product will still remain lacking.
Triple H might be better at running the business than Vince McMahon 🤔
Just to give cm punk this big storyline they made the money in the bank contract a non factor till another year. They could have had cm punk screwing him out the money in the bank win and had someone like LA Knight or Jey Uso win it. They trying to build this big bloodline story with Cody Rhodes as the target but to truly make it work they need Cody Rhodes without half the main event roster in his corner and have an unlikely saviour, thats how you create a bloodline civil war. At the moment their heel vs face storylines are like AEW with so many groups you know whats going to happen. Vince needs to teach these corporate fools how to write storylines.
Just put the title on Gunther already.
It could have been fixed by having a Cm punk segment talk to the ref before the match and the having the footage show up after the botch.
Need to make it right. Seth needs another title shot
They can’t right now. That was a stipulation of the match. Seth can’t get another title shot as long as priest is the title holder
He is just covering up the mistake of Damien Priest. HHH is a Damien fan.
He shouldn't be. The dude copies Undertaker too much.
@Pirustae why shouldn't he ? Afterall, he is the Bondage Undertaker 😆
@@Pirustaebruh, Undertaker is Damian's inspiration!

I'm pretty sure Drews music should have hit sooner. Still Priest could have understood but I'm almost positive it was the delayed music which was probably supposed to interrupt the count
Refs should be encouraged to call it like the audience sees it, looks incompetent now. Take the L, he was knocked out, work it out in the back and resolve it on TV
They are but he couldn’t, given they still had Drew’s cash-in, the triple threat & Punk’s interference left.
@@jihadx5307right. As well as the stipulation of priest exiting judgement day with a loss.

They didnt play drews music in time not on the ref or wrestlers
One of the worst botches ever exposed the buissness to everyone you CANNOT be forgetting to kick out during a world title match in the main event damien should lose the title soon
Strip off his title
Bruh that’s not a mistake he didn’t kick out so he shouldn’t be champ what doesn’t triple H understand about that
Who screwed up more, Damian or the ref?
Damien. His screwup was what forced the ref to cover for him.
Ref
Both. Who screwed up the most? The production team.

@@gerasimov_mv under a normal match it would’ve been easier to cover up but because of the cash in needing to be a triple threat for a No DQ stipulation along with the other match stipulation of Priest getting kicked out of judgement day if he lost, there was little wiggle room with what they could’ve done.
Scolding people because they noticed an obvious botch?
It DOES define the match. It doesn’t make either of them bad workers, but acting like fans are silly for talking about it is nonsense.
Truth. HHH's nonchalant demeanor, feels dismissive. Not every person that is focused on the incident is hyper focused on negativity. Many people have many different reasons for having their attention on what occurred. Also, some people bet money on these events. And those individuals have even more of a reason, to want explanations for what the heck happened.
It could have been a botch or something else. Damien may have been knocked, or dazed, and missed his Q.
Not priests fault. They didn't play drews music in time. I think it was supposed to be 1...2... Drew music plays they all stare at the entrance
It is persists fault 100%

Bootleg taker😂 boring corbin
Liv morgan worked the ref to have priest keep belt - just do that
That would make much more sense
He lost
Rollins is the real champ
Why is he world champion to begin with?... fans don't seem to be into him much. He has the look of a pro wrestling champion for sure, but his mic is weak and needs to improve his in ring work.
All these blunders, when Vince was here…it never happened. Get Triple H out of there!!!
HHH is a great leader
God that match was awful lmao
