I watched all of these talkative videos (really watched almost all vids apart from a few QB breakdowns) and this might have been the best topic to discuss yet! Absolutely needed to know how a playsheet can work, how you think about it. Absolutely perfect! Keep up the great work!
Asked a few livestreams ago the question of what you discuss with your QB coach, your OC or your (offensive) HC each week. Or also if you have any question about a certain play or just any topic, who do you turn to and who is your contact for what? You were interested to maybe do a video on that. I would be flattered ✌️
NFL ... what makes some teams get to the line with lots of time left on the play clock and others seem to always be the edge of a game delay. Thinking back to the Cowboys a couple years ago I used to yell at the TV constantly for the two delay of games per game
Just depends on the OC's way of doing things, really. Sean McVay with Jared Goff used to get the play in quickly so he could see the defense and call an audible in to Goff before the play clock could hit 15 seconds and the mic cut off. On the other hand, Matt Ryan was talking about Kyle Shanahan and how late the calls would come in, sometimes only just before the time for the communication to get cut off.
I find it easiest to actually use wristbands and have a micro size actual play instead of a call sheet.. you can fit 8 basic plays per sheet on a 3 sheet band that’s 24 plays.. playmakers are all colored for both route and indicator.. the 24 plays is more then enough.. it’s honestly 12 plays with flips.. each player is letter and number indicated for both package and where to find it quickly on the bands.. This isn’t professional but I find it makes things very Simple.. it’s basically a couple formations, couple of plays out of each formation and run and pass variations making them look the same.. lot of PA in my system.. I wear the same wristband myself for calling the plays vs carrying around a sheet in hand.. Each okay has the ability to run or pass from that play depending on how it’s called out. But the simpler the better.. if you see something you want to take advantage of and don’t have a olay for it.. it’s easier to just call an existing okay with a designated change to it. It’s simple fast and efficient and far I I know there is no rules against this and it’s never been an issue for me.. I also have the ability to call the same olay in a different fashion if I think a team is catching on to the call structure But tbh.. my qb only gets a single read with 2 receiver off that read.. there is no progression work… I’m very specific on how I want my plays cause of how I use each one to setup the next.. if it’s not there their is a single check down on each play or he scrambles.. and a lot of those checks are just a draw cause I like to keep the backs up tight to the line and flat footed Then in film I show what I seen as to why I modified a play a certain way.. I’ve had a lot of success with this even though it’s more like a middle chill level of play calling
I'm a first year offensive coordinator for my youth football team and we have a game this Saturday, wish me luck, and thanks for posting this video

Hey JT, can we get a Kenny Pickett video after the two pre-season games?
Is this excel on web or mobile? I’ve been having trouble trying to do a call sheet but I’ve only tried on mobile app.
You tried on an app? No. Desktop or laptop.

Great video!
Vikings fan here - can you do a vid on Nick Mullens starts so far?
I've always wondered this
Coach Are you from sd?
Hey JT, I love your videos, I started to learn better about football here. What program or software do you use to draw the routes on videos?
Justplay
What's personnel mean? Isn't it always 11 players in the field
i have a video on it. search QB School personnel. lmk if you can't find it
why the hell are play call names so crazy?! Why can you literally not just say formation and play lmao?
you have to say the formation protection rout concepts reads ect;
Good system 🤔
😉
