☕️Beautiful sunshine here in southeast Michigan, but only 36 degrees. Good morning everyone. Love that fountain and the plants are going to look spectacular. Thank you for spending the time, Laura, and have a great week everyone 🌸🌱🌷🌸
When Laura said “sometimes you have no clue why plants behave the way they do”… am I the only one what immediately thought of my children? 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤣🌱 🌸 ❤️
Jim Putnam often uses old fitted sheets for fast & easy frost protection on shrubs and small trees. It looks silly but when you are racing around trying to cover elevated round things, it’s works great. Easy to take off too.
loved the sound of the birds and the fountain while you planted... i never use music or anything while i work outside; it's nature i want to hear.. .sweet Russell.. our cats are so tolerant when all they want is a lap all day long 🥰 so exciting to see so many plants going in!!! doesn't it feel sooo good to get those garden muscles working again (for me anyway)??? just love being able to finally get outside and get busy cleaning, pruning, making my lists of fun stuff to buy... excited to see Monica's garden too, what a transformation!! have a great week, everyone!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Good morning, Laura ☕️ What a weird Spring for us too over here in Boston, MA. Too cold still. I love Spring because of everything emerging but such a slow start. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
I’ve been wishing for a longer spring. All the trees are in full leaf, roses are in bloom, dogwoods are finished blooming and pansies are toast. Temp did drop some this week. Happy about that. 12 coral berries are arriving today from Proven Winners. Thank you Laura for introducing me to coral berries. Your garden and landscape is so beautiful. So inspiring.
El Nino is forecasted to start this fall (70% chance) with Pacific NW getting a warmer, drier winter. SW US will get a rainy season in winter. Ready for a change in climate 🐳🐟🐬
I just want it to choose a season and stick to it for a bit. Just a bit, a week would do! It's been great weather, rainy weather, cold, icy weather, stormy weather and back to great weather, and the cycle repeats for the next week! 😭
Here in Phoenix Arizona, April started off in 60 degree temperatures. Next week it’s supposed to hit 100 degrees F. Yep, the pansies are definitely toast!!
@@Sisteryoda1440 Even here in Ohio they show up in stores way too late. They can withstand the end of our winters, but they just aren't available until it's not really worth it. 🤦
I have gardened here in New England for many years. Great soil and a family that practiced good techniques. I appreciate you showing young new gardners a way to see your practices..tha k you for all the new plants and their habits.
Russell needs his own RUclips channel! 😂 What a scene stealer! Inside the Hartley sounds like a great place to be right about now. Can’t wait to see Monica’s backyard progress. She and her husband must be so excited!
Good morning Laura! We have been going back and forth between Summer like weather in high 80's to Spring weather in the 70's for all this week. I personally am enjoying the more Spring like days because for me the heat will get here fast enough. Happy to watch this video and sending you hugs from N.C..❤️
Laura appreciates every little thing. My goodness. Gives me pause to feel free to do the same. Such a blessing to have someone so grounded and authentic in my life.
Wow, Laura, what a nice pop of green and burgundy you brought to the planting area by the house! Question: When you look around at all the things you need to do, does it feel overwhelming? If so, what's the trick to staying positive and motivated considering the amount of work you need to do to keep your gorgeous place looking so tidy? Thanks for the uplifting vids!
Good morning! I’m so looking forward to doing some planting. Been too cold for any planting and I’ve got some plants in the garage because of the cold. Yesterday it snowed, that’s how cold we were!!
YOU have to be the most LOVED person in America 🤎🤎🌸🌸🤎🤎🌸🌸🤎🤎 What JOY you bring us every day! I pause the lesson to research each plant you plant in the garden...what I list I have to plant. Thank you so much!
My English daisies spread themselves around a little-I find some in the grass but they are so cute I leave them. I’m so ready for spring and shopping for annuals! No more cold nights please! 😊
Ahhhhh, the sound of the fountain!! Love it! Thank you for showing the tulips and others gorgeous flowers. They are so beautiful. The green house is bursting with so many happy and healthy plants! So fun.
Its very amazing how climates are different. Im in 5b/6a and my Bleeding Hearts are in full bloom. Your gardens have been ahead of my in past years. This year is soo different.
A peaceful morning! You might be a coastal girl at heart, Laura. You would enjoy Humboldt County because our weather is frequently between 50° and the high 60s. Our average rainfall is 38 inches, but it's lush, green, and beautiful. I wish I could grow plants that love hot weather. I would melt, though. 😅
Good Morning! 🌞 I am really anxious to start my planting, but the weather here in Iowa has not cooperated! I also need to do my clean-up! I do enjoy watching your videos, I have learned so much - thank you!! 🥰🙂💚🌿
Your seedlings are amazing this year. You’ve started so many and benefited from the warm greenhouse. I love seeing table after table of your green seedlings!
Hi Laura and Aaron. Love love love your channel. Just wanted to add one suggestion- but maybe a lot of work for Ken.. I was wondering if you could pop a picture on the screen of the plant in your space when you are pointing out when it is in full bloom. I think it would give it a nice visual. Regards from Shillong, India
It was warm here in PA now this week is going to be cold again. I planted a bunch of perennials for myself and at a friend's house. Hope they all make it through. 🤞
It's 31°this morning in zone 6a Illinois. I have a lot of sheets and towels on my plants. Average freeze date was April 21. I have dahlias and ranunculus poking out of the soil. Hope we both don't have damage. Hoping for warmer days. I Love the topiary that looks like a Dr. Seuss plant.
Great planting. Love them all. Don’t forget to water. Love the topiary there coming along fantastic great idea. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
36 and chilly this morning in Iowa, freeze warning last night. Somehow my tulips are still alive, full of color, and loving life 🤔 I will take it 😂 Happy Monday morning, everybody! ☕️💐🪻🌱☀️
Tulips can handle that, usually! Especially if the blooms have yet to open. It was actually too warm here in southern Ohio, and all the blooms went over super fast! Have a great day! 👍👍
I am so enjoying this video and I have to tell you - I forgot that I planted astilbe in my front flower bed (WA State Zone 8b) last year. Here they are, coming up and I can't remember what they are so I "Google Lensed" the little red fronds and greening up leaves and was told that it was a "Nest of spiders"! My neighbors must have thought I was demented out there laughing like a loon! Thank you for this video! I love watching your gardens take shape!
Hello mis I'm always watching your videos coz I know you love very much flower just like me I love too.😊even though we're different country and kind of weather but when I watch your videos I feel Im with your place😂
You’ve got so much going on, I don’t know how you keep up. I’m going to pre-sprout a couple of Dahlias I bought today. And maybe plant a few annuals inside to start. I just want to see how they will grow.
Nice to know I’m not the only one who is experiencing cold temps for April. Living near Lake Erie, we are suppose to get chilly temps tonight too. I had to cover some plants as well. 😅 Love your channel Laura! Been a fan for a long time 😊
The warm spring of yours is hear in Finland! I live in south Finland and all snow and frost has melted away and it has been WARM, almost 20C degrees (68F). Thats like a june weather here 😎. Last year I had little over 3ft of snow in my backyard at the and of may 🫣
Great video today. You were planting more beautiful hellebore just love that plant. Love were you put everything. Looking really pretty. Can't wait for a other visit to your sisters garden.
Glad to see your alliums are coming up. I got worried when my Jade eyes alliums came up so early this year. I’m in zone 7 and I have an allium garden coming up for the first time. I was surprised and worried because we just got a late frost and will have another one in a couple days.
Tossing English daisies into the new holes looks like you are playing basketball. So cool that they slide right into the holes. I think the auger allows you to plant just the right distance apart. When you dig with a shovel it seems most wind up too far apart.
Your video is not complete without Russell. He knows he is the star of the show! Love him.
Love hearing all those birds while you plant
And the fountain ⛲️!!
Love the ambient sound of natural planting and wind and birds and fountain. No need for background music at all! Lovely video.
Yeah, I usually mute or skip the music parts. Just too loud and upbeat and I can't pay attention to what's going on. 👍👍 We were spoiled today!
Every time she tossed a plant in the hole and made it; I was like 2 points! Man she was awesome at the toss!
So glad there wasn't music so we could hear all your happy spring birds!!
It was such a pleasure to see you working in the garden up by the house. I’m excited to see Monica and Aaron sisters spaces!🥰
Love seeing the tiered shelving in the Hartley filled again!! Russell is such a sweet cat!

The undersink curtain, the basket holding soil & the stack of pots is just perfection! Just looks so good in the Hartley!
The birds singing in the background are making such a delightful chorus!
Good morning everyone!
It's the Russell Show!!! Made my morning.😊
Nice planting today! I was shivering watching you in the cold. Good job!
The sound of the birds and fountain is so lovely!
starting the fountain, made me so happy. its the official opening of the season!
Love all your gardens, your videos, and all the information you always give ❤❤❤
Good morning! 🌻🐝
Laura appreciates every little thing. My goodness. Gives me pause to feel free to do the same. Such a blessing to have someone so grounded and authentic in my life.
Laura amazes me how she remembers what she plants especially given the large space. Great video!
It's all gorgeous and just becomes more beautiful every year. 8 love watching your gardens grow and transform 🎉
Thank you so much for not playing music in this video, at least up to now 😄😄! I love the natural sounds so much better!! Yeah!
Hi from Australia!!!!!! :) :) Love your videos

It was nice to enjoy the quiet with you. Thanks for sharing.
Something so aesthetically pleasing about Laura going back to planting with shovel ASMR vs the auger 😭
Very productive day for you and fun watching for me. I can't wait to see all the plants awake and blooming
Your cat cracks me up. I love cats, and yours is a charmer.
Morning Everyone ❤
What a beautiful bird chorus as you are planting.
Good morning, Everyone!!
Let's raise our morning drink to a great planting/video week. Lol

Morning coffee, Garden Answer. And a beautiful day here in Australia. What more could you ask for ❤💚

Morning GA friends and Russell
Its very amazing how climates are different. Im in 5b/6a and my Bleeding Hearts are in full bloom. Your gardens have been ahead of my in past years. This year is soo different.
I live near Laura and we are a month behind normal. Crazy weather! And now it’s supposed to be 86F next Sunday!
A peaceful morning! You might be a coastal girl at heart, Laura. You would enjoy Humboldt County because our weather is frequently between 50° and the high 60s. Our average rainfall is 38 inches, but it's lush, green, and beautiful.

Topiaries look great!
You said, "Hey Russell" like he is the faithful first employee to show up to work every day. 😊 He probably thinks he is!

Ive never seen plants put in the ground as quickly as you threw ha ha those daisies into their pre drilled holes wow efficient

Do you have to harden off these perennials before planting them like you do annuals and warm weather crops?
You all need some Russell and Cheddar merchandise. They are perfect mascots for your channel, excellent video as always. ❤
Hello mis I'm always watching your videos coz I know you love very much flower just like me I love too.😊even though we're different country and kind of weather but when I watch your videos I feel Im with your place😂
Would love to see how you pot on your pre-sprouted dahlias.
Thanks for yet another enthusiastic presentation of 'doing gardening'. It is truly uplifting. 😄
Awesome video, love to see you getting to start planting outside. I love the little English. Daisy's.
You’ve got so much going on, I don’t know how you keep up. I’m going to pre-sprout a couple of Dahlias I bought today. And maybe plant a few annuals inside to start. I just want to see how they will grow.

FYI: Leucojum -- spring snowflake and Galanthus -- snowdrop are different plants. Both gorgeous!!!
Holy moly!!! So much production going on. Did you ever wonder that you would be where you are today back when you first began doing videos?
Glad to see your alliums are coming up. I got worried when my Jade eyes alliums came up so early this year. I’m in zone 7 and I have an allium garden coming up for the first time. I was surprised and worried because we just got a late frost and will have another one in a couple days.

Beautiful!
Morning Sweet Laura, off to see the Doctor, have a wonderful day, sending love and best wishes to you all. Wanda In Ok.
