I've logged about 1,100 hours in the NG at this point and I'm waiting for differences training on the NGX, but I will say this, when you were talking about the A/C not being even throughout the cabin, what you failed to mention is that the cockpit is an absolute greenhouse in the summer and there is no way to effectively cool it down up front without freezing the pax in back until you get to the flight levels. Overall, it's the best plane I've ever flown and I've definitely landed it on fields shorter than 2,100ft like you mentioned, you just have to be a bit lighter on fuel. My only other big grips are the pilot seats are very uncomfortable and in order to get the low speed performance, the low wing loading in cruise and stiff spar mean it does not handle turbulence well! Other than that, it's a near perfect aircraft, a real pilot's plane with a good balance of automation and very fun to hand fly.
Just started flying the PC12 (and I’m lucky it’s an NGX) 2 weeks ago, and WOW. This airplane is incredible in every way imaginable. It is BY FAR my favorite airplane I’ve ever flown. So impressive, so smooth, so... perfect.
The PC12 is one of the best single engine plane every made. If any single engine could fly around the world, and do it comfortably it would be the PC12.
This was a good, solid and informative video. Some of your early efforts got some pretty heavy criticism, much of it unnecessarily harsh in my opinion but still valid. But you stuck with it and your vids are much improved. It is clear that you love aviation and work hard at learning all you can about it under what I suspect are some real limitations based on your location. Good job, man.
The content creator is a good person. I brought something to his attention and he took the time to check into it. I will refer all of my pilot friends to check out his channel. Great content. The Pilatus is my dream bird.
I know it might be unrealistic but I would like to learn how to fly this airplane. There is a small airport 5 mi. from my house which would be great to fly from.
Good video, but you failed to mention that, in fact, Amelia (Rose) Earhart DID fly around the world in a PC-12. The year was 2014, it took her 18 days. I know this because, besides extensive media coverage, the company I worked for at the time was one of her major sponsors for that trip.
You are correct. I fly the PC-12NG professionally and routinely fly 1,120 nm flights non stop and land with a little over an hour of fuel. So, 2484 miles would not work without ferry tanks.
As someone who flies the NGX regularly I can tell you that the prop low speed function is not noticeable audibly in the back but you lose about 10kts in cruise so very useless function IMO
Sorry but I disagree, when you turbo on the ‘ low speed prop’ switch you can notice it straight away in the owners vip seat. Huge difference from the NG.
yes, between the cockpit and cabin, opposite the entry door. the doors open across the cabin for full privacy. It is a full flush toilet with a holding tank for pump out.
Hello everyone, guys this video just inspired me so much that now I'd like to give it a try to circumnavigate in solo. And guess what if i make it i would be the first African pilot to do it. So now could we have a talk about how should i do to make it happen, maybe you have a few hints for me. Many thanks!
twin engine is better in case of malfunction!! single engine stops over the ocean and u gonna meet our friends sharkies the sharks, u will be very welcome by them during lunch time!!
Piaggio are awesome planes, I use to service both the Piaggio P180 and PC-12. Where the PC-12 has the Piaggio beat is simplicity. Piaggio's are very complex and can't be serviced just anywhere if there is a problem. The PC-12 would still be the best to fly around the world IMO but that's just me. I know a lot of people that would rather have 2 engines and that's fine. Where the PC-12 makes up for it's single engine is its ability to glide. Best way to mitigate an engine out situation in a PC-12 would be to stay at the highest safe altitude, that thing can glide like 60ish miles if above 25,000 feet.

agree!! a single engine is a gamble. it stops over the pacific and you are a yummy 'snack' for sharks !! unless they are vegetarian or vegan!! we never know nowadays everything is vegan here and there , so sharks could be vegan too now!! who knows!!

That's a great level you attained... I wish you smooth landings everyday!!
You should fly the F50
is it hard to see over the dashboard it looks tall

Thank you for the fligjt path. I will try it in msfs20
That's fine, I'll looking forward to seeing you do it in real life... Are you in Lagos?
I’m fascinated with ANY PC-12
I know it might be unrealistic but I would like to learn how to fly this airplane. There is a small airport 5 mi. from my house which would be great to fly from.
Could you do a comparison between the PC-12 and TBM? I know that they are different, but I'm unclear on how exactly
The first thing I can think of is that only the PC-12 has a lavatory.
How is the crossing from Hawaii to LA possible? It's 4k Km distance and the PC 12's range is 3k Km max.
Long range tanks, and survival equipments..
There is one pilatus at the bottom of Pacific Ocean already 😂
She is awesome!

Can you make a video of small planes with the longest range?
Hawaii to LA is 2,484 miles. You'd have to fit an auxiliary gas tank for that flight.
You are correct. I fly the PC-12NG professionally and routinely fly 1,120 nm flights non stop and land with a little over an hour of fuel. So, 2484 miles would not work without ferry tanks.
Can you make a video of single engine and multi engine aircraft that takes you around the world?
Swiss make, and designe their planes, like their watches, with precision, quality and accuracy.
Love this plane

You based in NG?
Love your videos
Are you from Nigeria ?
Yes, I'm from Nigeria... You?
I'm from Nigeria too
Nice to meet you.. I'm in Lagos
Does this plane have a lavatory, even a small cassette type? I cant imagine flights of 5+ hours without someone needing it.
It have one right in front of the stairs ruclips.net/video/a46QMqjumeU/видео.html

At 7:35 both pilot seats have an open front for toilet function (???)
Yes, a small lavatory just behind the cockpit. I routinely fly 5 hour flights and am so thankful for the lav.
Price..

Three men 600 pounds
Sofa 100 pounds
Survival kit 250 pounds
8000 pounds of fuel
Food and beverage 300 pounds

I want most of these too.. Except for 3 men 😂😂😂.... I want to do it solo... But 8000pounds of fuel?
It’s great it’s just 3x more than it should be
$8M NGX vs $3.5 used PC12
Nothing is impossible? Let's see you put the toothpaste back in the tube.
Duh…
If you don't come to Aussie or New Zealand it does not count as around the world.
