    Hi, very interesting tutorial!
    I have some queries.
    ■ I have a box of different coloured chalks. Can I use them for this craft?
    ■ acrylic medium - is it for thinning the paint? Can we use water instead?
    Thanks a lot.

    • @beingme3t
      @beingme3t  4 года назад +3

      Thank you so much for your appreciation. Yes you can use those chalks also but to get a white paste you have to add much more white color.
      Acrylic medium was used for binding the paste but if you are using white color that will be enough. Don't use too much water it will take time to dry and it will not be that much sticky.

    I really like this. I was wondering . . . I have a few pieces of metal that is flat like this canvas, and about the same thickness . . . long story . . .but I had it made for some furniture pieces. They used to have glass panels in the coffee table and I had a local artist replace the glass with a piece of metal that he then used something on it to make it look streaked -- it was supposed to look like a copper patina but he did not do a great job on it and I've not been happy with it ever since. When I saw this video, it made me wonder if it would be possible for me to put some kind of primer on the metal pieces and paint them myself with acrylic paint in an abstract way, trying to get a nice copper patina kind of color. Do you think that would adhere to metal? Thanks. Renee

    • @beingme3t
      @beingme3t  4 года назад

      Thank you so much for sharing your story.If you want to have some texture like this then apply this paste directly on the metal sheet but use metal color instead of glue while preparing the paste. Then apply primer and finish with metal copper paint. If you paint with acrylic paint it will look nice but it will not last long. You can use metal paint to create your acrylic paint look. Hope it will help you. Waiting to see the result.

    Hi, thanks for your reply. I have another question. My metal pieces from the tables has some kind of a lacquer on it. Do you think I could paint over that lacquer with a primer (is there metal primer?) and then use metal paint to make the colors I want? I didn't realize that there was paint for metal (like painting a car?). Thank you for the tip about the acrylic paint, too. I will await your reply before I head out to buy metal primer and paint. lol I have lots of free time now because I'm retired. I'm also getting back into pastel painting. I really enjoyed your abstract textured art, too, which is saying a lot because normally I am NOT a fan of abstract art, but this was really pretty. Love the colors you used. Thanks for your help, Renee

    • @beingme3t
      @beingme3t  4 года назад

      I don't know what kind of lacquer is that but if it is very smooth and glossy then sand it out with sand paper before applying primer. Yes you will get metal primer. There are paints for metal for painting on cars, iron frames, rods, metal furniture etc. You can buy spray paints for metals also. Waiting to see the final product. Thank you so much for watching my videos. You can try abstract painting also, it is fun. It is like color therapy. The colors of the painting will reflect your mood and that final piece of art will reflect your mental status of that moment. You can check my instagram profile for my other abstract painting. The handle is myaaesthetic.a. Thank you.
