Today we are meeting a team from Hydroflyer who created a cross between a hover-board, a jet-ski, and a surfboard. But how does it work? Is it an efoil with handlebar? An electric jetski? Is it just for beginners or real fun for pro riders who want to jump high and ride waves? According to Jerry and Tobi, the HydroFlyer eFoil is the most advanced personal watercraft ever created. Lets check it out in detail.
Absolutely love it, but at that price I would rather have a jetski or a little more for the fishing jetski, so much easier to take others with you but it is a distinct product so many who don't want a jet ski would want one. Great stuff, love watching them
Most of us that buy an efoil seldom use our jetski's after that. Pretty tame and boring (flat water/lake) I'd sell mine in a minute but the kids want to keep it for friends.
Curious why you don't mic yourself up and ride while making some commentary. It's not intended as a harsh criticism, but at the end you said "Here we go on the hydroflyer". And then literally like less than one second later you wrapped it up. I think it would be so much better if you put on a mic, rode around, recorded some footage and talked through it. I know that microphones and water are not friends, so maybe some challenges. But it's your personal thoughts while riding that would be the most interesting.
Yeah that would be nice but sometimes it's not possible. We had a limited battery time in this short meeting and it was much more important for me to fly the FPV drone and film Agnes riding it rather than wasting battery time trying to figure out the new thing and film myself. These things are easy to learn but not to the point that you can just jump on and go on a first try like a pro :) It takes some time to get used to new toys and we did not have that luxury in a short meeting with so many people wanting to try it :)
Nice addition to the foiling scene. Over all I really like the concept. I like that it broadens accessibility and will appeal to different styles. I keep looking at that horn though, even though they said it never has posed an issue. I guess it kinda looks cool and makes me think of a narwhal or a crane with it's head up. Design has some nautical or aquatic appeal visually, but has no real function... but might serve as a good attachment location for a camera 🎦😉😉
All this one needs now is a seat on a pole. Then the real fun begins. Standing and flying is good but sitting and flying is even better. I'll buy 1 for my daughter if it has a seat. If you put a seat on you have to pay me for the idea cause it will sell faster with a seat, lol.
Rental Places information for each Country out there, these infos posted here as well in such videos, would really help us consumers, and also help the manufacturers to sell more ?
OMG, that looks so fun, and I'm so tempted, but at 6'-5" the ergonomics look terrible. The 5'-5" girl is leaning forward...I'd be bent in two down to those bars.
I dont see how this is enjoyable at all for anyone thats not completely new to foiling tbh. Any other type of foiling including e-foiling looks more fun. Feels like this would be aimed at people that have too much money and want the expensive toy but not having the balance for an e-foil imo
When the handlebars hit you in the head, they won’t be that much fun! I think it’s great that the industry is expanding, but I will stick with my FliteBoard!
Poderiam ter feito as colunas de apoio das mãos acima , e hélices abaixo dobráveis Apoio das mãos dobrável para frente Apoio da hélice para traz ..... Ficaria melhor para o transporte
Video shows that it disassembles. It should fit in the back of a truck or SUV with seats down. Especially the shorter advanced models... for those that wish to transport it as such. I can fit 2 eFoils entirely inside my Toyota Camry... so maybe it can strategically be put in *some cars too. otherwise the roof top can be used. just flip the board upside down and strap it.
I windsurf foil and know the dangers of foiling and have had my share of brutal crashes and being thrown about, especially when touching or hitting the ocean floor. It is a violent and unavoidable accident from floor hits or hitting wildlife below. This design is incredibly dangerous since your body will fly forwards and into the steering wheel system and mast that supports it. Also one could EASILY be impaled if they should land on their stomach/chest onto that top section with the pointy top or even onto the grip area. This is a death and lawsuit waiting to happen folks.
Have you seen the video? I showed a couple of falls and wipeouts. The system is like a bike, because of the shape and size and the handlebar, your fall is much more controlled compared to efoil, you are falling mostly on the side not into the handlebar. Plus it's a recreational device, it's pretty slow, not near the speeds of your wind-foil boards or even efoils. It's done for calm cruising mostly at low speeds. Cheers
Yes of course you show falls where you bail out to the side or backwards and yes, that happens often. You do not show an instantaneous ground hit of the front foil and how violent you are sent flying forward. Yes your steering column is angled forward which is good design but you are always susceptible to smash into or worst, get stabbed or impaled on the top point or the handlebar “grips” causing potentially fatal results.
I have various and many wounds and injuries from foiling as it just comes with the sport and it’s extreme nature. My leg scars are proof of my history with the sport and kitesurfing as well. I have been contacted by the sharp foil many times and even a 14” gash along my back from launching the foil/board upwards and landing backwards where the foil sliced me. So yes i know how things can go terribly wrong with a foil.
Good point. I've hit a log, a 90 pound Asian carp, huge jellyfish, and even a manatee while wing foiling. I took a pretty quick nose dive after each one. One should definitely wear a helmet, a life vest, and perhaps neoprene leggings as I can imagine some bruising if you hit the handle bars. It does look safer with respect to the foil as compared to a traditional foil board.
@@mspring6387 Exactly what I was thinking. Striking anything underwater with the foil at speed is likely sending the person over the handlebars and right into that spike. Why even have it there? Seems like it would be easy to round off. Just because they say it has never been an issue doesn't mean it can't become one, especially if they become popular.
What Bollox! Nearly 20 minutes of PR guff and not once do they mention the price. That is maybe because the list price is more than $15 grand. You're having a larf!!
@@JetSurfingNation little skills required to get going, prone to jet-sk- like fuckery and foil danger for rider and public also at low speed. Again I see this risks only for the reckless rental market. However the bad aura may spillover to the rest of the responsible foil community. I wish this will become a success story, e-foiling is fun and want to see more people doing it. But let’s learn from the Jet-ski parable from the 90’s to today
Doesn't matter how cool the new tech is, the fact is the thing just looks dorky and anyone riding it looks like a dork as well. Maybe Zuckerberg will want one, hahahahahahahaha.......
These things are just way to ecpeimsice to justify owning one in comparison to 😂 what else you can get for the money. If they want them to sell and be everywhere, they need to be no more than 2 to 3k and that’s even high. This is literally a board, battery and motor
Znudzi się po kilku minutach. Wingfoil i kitefoil jest w tej chwili nie do przebicia. No ale tam trzeba ogarniać wiatr, tutaj wozimy się bez jakiejkolwiek wiedzy
This is for people that don't actually belong in the water.. that what my first thought when I saw it.. Also.. the design it's awful .. The video is done in Portugal.. ask some Brazilian cats what they think of the design.. it this isn't supposed to be sold just to married men or women.. Change the design...
Your comment is pretty rude mate. Who is "belonging in the water"? The ocean is for everyone to have fun. These guys are developing a new product for people to have fun on the water! Some might like it, some might not like it. It's not for everyone for sure, it's a niche product. Cheers.
Thank you for the feature!
Thank you for visiting us in Portugal!

You could make handles that you can just stick a seat into the handles like a bike . If you dont want to use the seat you can just pull it out.
May I suggest some beach wheels incorporated into the rear of the board.
The efoil market is really kicking off. Its crazy to think about how many efoils have come out this year alone!
Absolutely love it, but at that price I would rather have a jetski or a little more for the fishing jetski, so much easier to take others with you but it is a distinct product so many who don't want a jet ski would want one.

hydro flight is a technology that I have just heard, thank you for that, have a good time
Sea Doo is coming out with a board like this next year. Going to be a big change with a large manufacturer like them in the game.
Nicely done vid.
this video was really nice, I watched it with pleasure while watching it, it's peaceful
Watching them ride it, this is more interesting than I expected.
Thank you 🙏
Ha! Green Lake in Whistler was the lake with the ice on it.
I'm afraid these will hit swimmers like the near miss at 9:50 mark!
Those were go pro guys from the team filming him.. all good
Looks real cool! would love a go!! id round that spike off the front though!
Superb design looks so fun and easy to learn

Even though we went the total opposite at first - Lets Evolutionize right back into a Jet Ski!!!! Lmao.
With the handle bars...i can see these things going 100kph! That would be crazy! 5 year plan? Haha
Super materiał. Dziękuję że mogliśmy uczestniczyć w tym nagraniu oraz testach demo. To naprawdę bardzo dobry sprzęt. W Polsce do kupienia u nas :)

in one word, it was a perfect video, thank you for your work
Foil Revolution is on!
Why is it so forward?
I had a very similar idea in a long time ago when I was in the Philippines .any great idea. 😃😃😃❤❤❤
Like bicicle over the water, soebody need this?
Most excellent dudes!
where is the cup holder? and what is the point?
Looks like a great design. Handlebars are a good addition for control and more fun.
Great vidoeo! 😍
Glad you liked it!!
Cool, how much is for a board like this in american money or mexican pesos? I seeyou have 2 different versions. Thanks in advance ✌️🏝🏄♂️🌅🇲🇽
Popup seat would be cool.
С балдахином от солнца? И 200 гребцов? Ну, это старая штука. Галера называется. Греки придумали. Очень давно.
Or a hammock…
Good video verry nice job its a great
What if you hit a sand bar or rock, how strong is the foil and propeller?
You don’t want to hit anything with any efoil. It might break the wing and the prop
The whole thing would be scrap if u hit ANYTHING with the foil
yachts also hit their keels on corals! it's all about who drives the scooter! And there were always enough idiots!
Can I assume they can also be manipulated as 'prone' using ocean waves, swells, and occasional pumping to negate the motor?
You can go depowered on a wave on regular efoils
I'm looking at this and just thinking why buy this over a freestyle jet ski.
I want to jet ski. can you make a tutorial video
Great video nice 💯💯💯💯
Price?
a sharing full of adventure and action for me...
Do i Need license to own one these ?
No
Very cool…👍
If you turned the bar riser around the position would be better

Need to see more of the blonde with the baby blue bathing suit.
Did a bit of sleuthing and it is Agnes Wicander.
Would buy a jetski at that price.
great news
Should put a wheel on the front nose

So does it come with its own trailer? Big n bulky n heavy will be its biggest drawback.
It’s for rentals, you keep it assembled

Buy a stand up jetski .....waaay more fun ..BRAAAP
