Love the Owyhee! Used to live in Caldwell, ID, which is a hop, skip and jump to the Owyhee River! Great brown trout fishery!!! Good stuff!!! Thanks for sharing. Brings back some awesome memories :-)

Also, that first hole you were fishing in your video, is my favorite spot. It holds a lot of browns, feeding on food coming into that pool. I have caught some HUGE ones, using Dynamic Lures J-Spec (Black and Gold). Also, fly fishing that hole is a blast as well. Hope you can visit there again soon!

@@TroutWest We fished it at least 3 times a month. There are other good fisheries in and around Boise too, at least 30 minute drives from there :-)

I live and fish in the Boise area I’ve avoided the owyhee because of the number of people but I didn’t see anyone there but you. Ed mark is our local Toyota dealer

Definitely a river where you need to have the time to really explore the fishery. Walmart. comes through in a pinch.

Also this year the river is way higher than normal in another month or so the access will be much better

I love that river fish it a lot if you want non stop action all day just throw worms with a medium split shot them big browns hammer the worms. Good to see someone else not fly fishing out there, panther martins in the ripples does pretty good too

True but prices on 4runners in Oregon were a lot higher
